Hi there and welcome to assist,
It's possible that the 4G functionality is not enabled for your device.
You need to check with your provider whether they haven't done anything (not) clever before selling the phone to you, like installing a different version of firmware.
Now that you have updated to the correct firmware version the 4G option may have been disabled.

Hello!!!
This is my first post to the forum and I hope someone can help me.
I currently have a Samsung S3 i747 on Rogers (Canada) which uses the same frequency as AT&T in the states. I want to switch over to Wind which is the equivalent to T-Mobile.
The hardware itself is compatible however I am having trouble enabling the band. I followed the following post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2344627 thoroughly but I am having trouble getting QPST to locate my phone.
The QPST version I have is 2.7 Build 378 and I have tried the newer version but same result.
Through device manager, I can see my phone

I am at a loss as I do not know what else to do. I can't afford a new phone right now and I do not mind the S3 for all of its problems.
My drivers are up to date. I am on Windows 8.1 as I heard the OS could be the problem but I could be wrong.
Has any one ever been able to enable this band on the S3?

My name is Sindi and i have very conisedrable Phone experenice recetly i moved from a simple lumia to a note 4 i know how to flash roms and stuff but there is one thing holding me back atm
My note model is a Sm-n910h UNLOCKED by that it means it accepts any software despite the country correct ? however what i noticed was that i m stuck on 4.4.4 without an option to update I checked on sammobile and an update was available however There is one thing concearning me and that is that the update has different PDA Values and CSS . I have a hTC m8 (Harman Kardon edition) gifted by my client from USA. When I received the device, it was factory locked through Sprint Mobile. After a month of research on internet and on this forum, I have unlocked it to use GSM services in India, and its working fine now.
But now the problem is it does not have the Tethering option. I want to tether my M8's internet connection with other devices but it has no option to enable WiFi tethering or anything. I have also tried a few third party tethering app from play store like(FoxFi, Wifi Tether, etc..) but had no luck. They all failed to establish a connection.
I am new to this forum, so am not allowed to post screenshot or any external link.
Please help me, how can I enable the tethering or internet sharing option on my device.

3: Android Version - 4.4.2
4: S/w Version - 1.54.654.13

First time poster here so hoping to drop this off in the right place. I have a brand new (out of the box) Samsung Galaxy S4 which I just purchased from my Boostmobile dealer the other day. Installed the latest Cynogenmod on it only to find that LTE did not work. 3G works fine but this prompted me to look around for help. After discussing in #SGS4 on freenode, I wiped the phone and installed the latest Optimized cm 12.1 build. Again, same problem. LTE does not work and 3G does.
Model: SPH-L720
ROM: OptimizedCM-12.1-20150817
Carrier: Boost Mobile
Something tells me my problem relates to the carrier?

Forgive me for my ignorance in these matters.I am Thinking about purchasing a gs4 from freedompop.Supposedly the phone is locked and has proprietary software for freedompop.I know pc's I know phone hardware,but haven't done much modding.Supposedly you cannot use this phone on other networks the way it comes.Can one of these GS4's be unlocked and flashed with some new firmware to use on other networks?As far as I know it is the i9505 with the snapdragon cpu and it is a cdma phone.Thank You
