[Q] Chromecast screen casting with CM11S - HTC One S

I upgraded to CM11S hoping to take advantage of the Chromecast's ability to cast screens from any 4.4.2+ device. I have the option available in the Chromecast app but when I try to cast my screen it doesn't seem to work. At first it lets me choose the Chromecast to cast to, then I get a dialog box that says it's connected. The Chromecast on my TV goes black for a second then back to the screensaver. On my phone I have a dialog box that says it has been disconnected. Has anyone gotten casting to work on this phone?
Alternatively I went into Settings>>Display & Light on clicked on Cast Screen. I turned it on but it says no devices found.
Is it possible I'm having a router problem?

I have exactly the same question! But in my case it isn't router problem because screen cast works in my tablet. Any further idea?

[Q] Screen casting with Chromecast????

So I noticed the recent updates Google Play services updates and the Chromecast aoo recieving an update. Just today when I went to leave my house to turn off my phone's Wi-Fi radio I notice I get the "Cast Screen" option. I thought "Oh wow. This is new." So I tapped the option to cast screen and next thing I know is "Hey, I cast cast my phone's screen now using the Chromecast." When I tried to cast my screen it doesn't work. Does anyone here who have a Chromecast has this new option now?

Cast Screen Not Working (Chromecast 2015)

Hey guys
so i found this weird problem with Chromecast (2015 model) - If i go to display settings > Cast Screen and start screen mirroring - Phone screen appears on TV but then freezes. In 5-10 seconds phone disconnects from TV
Same with Chromecast app. Casting apps such as YouTube, Netflix, etc work fine.
Any ideas? Thanks
I haven't used the app. But over the weekend I was trying to stream several TV programs. On was on my Blu Pure XL using Chrome - went to YouTube - found the programs I wanted (Bravo's Watch What's Happening Live) - and there was a "Cast Screen" symbol - hit and voila! WWHL was on my TV. All in all I cast about 10 different programs without a problem.
@jaybirdhawaii I was actually having problems with Screen Mirroring - not casting apps. See the youtube video in OP

i've had better luck when both the pure XL and chromecast are on 5GHz instead of 2.4

Screen cast (mirroring) not working

I have both a Pixel 3 and an Essential, as well as a Roku Ultra. Both phones are stock on their latest version of 10. On the Essential I can pull down the quick settings and turn on Cast Screen and the Roku is found and I can mirror my screen. Attempting the same with the P3 results in no device found. However Google Home finds the Roku, and if I tap the cast icon in media apps like YouTube or Netflix the Roku is found. Just not when I try to screen cast/mirror with the P3. I've tried restarting the Roku, the P3 and the WiFi router to no avail. What could be wrong? (I just got the P3 a month ago used, and today was the first time I tried screen casting with it.) Thank you in advance.
I can cast any screen after opening the home app, choosing the device (in my case Chromecast) and tapping "cast screen". Now whatever screen I go to it is mirrored to Chromecast. You can't do it from the pull down shortcut menu. You have to do it from within Google Home.
Note, this is different from casting via the Chromecast icon in media that supports it.

iPega 9023s Android software overlay issue over screen projection

Hi guys !
Got an iPega 9023 controller which I use on a daily basis in call of duty.
Connecting and setting up the controller through their app (ShootingPlusV3) and mapping the gamepads buttons on a screen overlay is fairly simple & straightforward and I am able to use the controller as intended.
BUT the problems start when I connect my phone (Huawei P30 Pro) either through a HDMI adapter or use the Wireless Projection mode to cast my screen to another device.
As soon as I cast my screen the overlay no longer matches the actual screen and appears to be tilted at 90⁰.
I even tried using another app that could enable me to set the rotation system wide, but the problem persists.
I have attached some screenshots for a better understanding of the issue.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am pretty sure I am not the only one encountering this problem and would love to be able to use it while casting on a big screen.

Question Second screen resolution

Hello,
I attached my G100 to a TV today to watch a movie, figured that should be possible having full Android desktop support.
It works, but the phone automatically chooses 4K resolution, which makes it stutter quite a bit, and the HDMI adapter gets very hot.
I thought I could just switch to full HD, which should take a lot of stress off the device, and would still be plenty for almost all applications. But there doesn't seem to be a menu to change that? Using the ADB "wm size" command just changes the phone resolution, but not the TVs.
I cannot configure anything on the TV itself, and most monitors will just report their capabilities to the connected device, so the option has to be on the smartphone, but either they did not implement that setting or I'm not able to find it.
The Motorola FAQ says something about the "display" settings menu, but I have only options there that change the phones screen settings. When I open settings in desktop mode, the "display" section is grayed out.
Thanks in advance, have a nice day!
