First of all, connect phone to computer so that necessary drivers are installed automatically. Or else Google search for manually installing drivers for your phone.
Download and install this softwares: Minimal ADB and fastboot
Download a custom recovery like twrp.img and place it in folder: C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot\
Download this: SuperSu, remove memory card from phone, connect it to PC via card reader and cut & paste this (.zip) file just inside Memory Card and put it back into phone.
Enable USB debugging in phone (Google if u dont know)
Connect phone to PC via USB cable and click on the "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" shortcut in desktop.
Type the following one by one:
Code:
adb devices
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot twrp.img
In your phone, wait for few seconds. Click on "Install ZIP". Browse to external_sd and select the file UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40.zip (which you pasted)
If it asks for confirmation, just do it. That's all! Now reboot phone from there! Your phone is rooted.

[Q]how can I use adb on Explorer CM10 ROM?

When plug USB cable in my explorer and USB debug is on, I just can't use adb command "adb devices" to find my devices(the lists always empty in cmd) and other adb cmd also unavailable.
My Win7 always see my device as Mass Storage Device, it is not like Sense based ROM to reveal such as "My HTC" in Win7 taskbar.
Can anyone help me to use adb on CM10 ROM(is on andriod OS running instead of recovery)?

A Simple click of the Thanks button would have been nice
If installing PC companion didn't help. Do this
1. Download and install latest version of flashtool
Link : http://androxyde.github.io/
2. Go to Flashtool Installation directory, then into drivers and run flashtool-drivers.exe
3. Install FlashMode drivers and Fastboot Drivers
You might get some warning about the drivers not being digitally verified, just continue with installation.
The above process basically installs all the required drivers, but windows still doesn't know which drivers to assign to which device. So we have to manually do it.
4. Connect you device (with USB debugging enabled and in MSC mode) and just let it install the required drivers, but it will say Android ADB Interface Drivers not found.
5. Open Device Manager, your profile name -> Other Devices -> Unknown Device/Android ADB. Right click, Update Driver Details.
6. Browse my computer manually -> Let me pick ..... computer -> Show All Devices
7. Wait for a while for it to list all devices.
8. Manufacturer : Google, Inc.
Model : Sony ADB Interface
9. One again you will get the Not Digitally Signed Error again, but this is the same driver we installed in the above steps, so nothing to worry.
10. Finish installing and your done!
11. Run "adb devices" in cmd to test.
Protip : Make Sure no other devices are connected.
I connected my Xperia device to my Linux Laptop and it installed everything automatically

[Q] Unable to root Tried everything

Hi ,
My micromax A110 is Jelly bean 4.1.1(pre installed) Stock recovery mode and Unrooted.
I tried to root from my windows machine using a Batch file by Bin4ry, but it didnt work.
Error -> mount permission denied (are you root?)
I also tried to root with superSU.zip from stock recovery mode but that didnt work because it needs CWM recovery mode.
Now that i am trying to flash recovery to install CWM recovery from SP tool (flash tools)
I am getting :
Error -> BROM ERROR : S_DA_SOC_CHECK_FAIL (3013)
Can anyone help ? Please dont just visit and ignore, post something if you have come across anything like this and you can help.
Are you sure you had selected the Enable USB Debugging in your settings?
Dude you are not having proper adb driver installed for your device. Install the correct drivers , if your device is listed as an adb device in device manager while connected to your PC, you are good to go with binary batch method.

Should i try another pc ? because i tried to install and uninstall many devices.
I also installed MT6577 drivers.!
One thing i observed ---
When i switch off and connect the cable, Its connected and shows a Mediatek device in device manager, after 1-2 seconds it automatically dissapeears (like its disconnected), even when i have cable plugged.
Goto Settings->Developer Options and check if USB debugging is checked..
If it is already checked and still not working then u might want to try re-installinh the latest Micromax A110 drivers on your computer and try rooting..

@zhalx @aweosomeabhijeet VRoot apparently steals your IMEI. I suggest you not to use this method to root, but I have another that can root your device without stealing IMEI and breaking USB tethering, this will use aweosomeabhjeet's temporary TWRP to root the device.
Instructions:
1. Flash back stock SBF to device.
2. Make sure you have ADB and Fastboot on your computer.
3. Make sure TWRP.img is in the same folder as ADB and Fastboot.
4. Now type these commands in cmd:
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
Code:
fastboot boot TWRP.img
5. Now Mount USB Storage and put this SuperSU.zip in your sdcard: http://download.chainfire.eu/204/SuperSU/CWM-SuperSU-v0.94.zip?retrieve_file=1
6. Now install zip from sdcard and click yes to confirm installation.
7. Now reboot your phone to system and it should be ready.

@lost101 i hope this could help him
it won't work that easy. On what window you are ?? I don't give a damn which driver you installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
just install the latest version from here.... Let it download and then i
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE USB DEBUGGING ON FROM DEVELOPERS SETTINGS
it will ask you for something like installing system wide adb and fastboot devices. Let it install at last skip the installing device software.
Now just go to c drive of your system or drive in which you have your window installed(drive) installed. Now you see adb named folder on the root of the drive.
Just press shift key first and right click then, you will see there a option of opening with command prompt or something.
Voila !!! you are now in adb .
To check you have right driver installed
give coomand like: adb devices this will show your device in the window...
if you see your device then type command: adb reboot bootloader this will bring you into bootloader menu...
TO check here that you are properly set yourself type command: fastboot devices
