Yeah same here.
The standard Cyanogen Camera app from CM11S works well but it's not available from the Google Play store if you run CM12. You can get it from here http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/cyanog...a-2-0-004-5229c4ef56-30-android-apk-download/
Fixed it, go to see things and switch from 4k video to 1090p.

Just tossin this out there as a decent alternative to stock cam, "Camera ICS" on play store, has free version, and working just fine for recording video on CM10 for me.
Looks and acts just like stock app.

That's nothing new...Well y don't use stock? It also has video recording....

Because every video I recorded with stock, ended up some garbled up mess when I tried to playback... According to searches, video recording was screwed up anyway

Weird..All is good for me......What rom r u using?
Did anybody tried to use CM12 (Android 5.0.2) and shoot a 4k video? It seems that the 4k playback is laggy as hell and pretty much not usable.
Also, if you try to use any 3rd party camera app with Flash on, you'll get split exposure on a single image.

That's probably because Lollipop builds are still very much in the alpha/beta stage. You should probably try to refrain from creating support threads for bugs that exist on builds that are known to be buggy.

You're right, it's still in early stages.
I've seen that lollipop builds are popping out so I wanted to know if anyone else got the same issue.
I read that when replacing a lib file, it fixes the issue. Yet I wasn't able to know where to get that file from.

i think so because take almost the same time to take the photo. I only share it because untill now is the only way to have pause on camcorder on lollipop roms

Panorama mode getting FC
I have flashed my mi4i with cm 12.1.
I camera quality turned into worst.and music player is crashing while opening the player.all the songs are not playing when I try to play.
Can I will be able to get the mi camera on cm 12.1.
Please help me solve this camera problem.

Use Snapdragon Camera. Only one thing missing in that i.e. Panorama mode doesn't work at all. I've tried in all MegaPixel settings.

Hello
i´m just wondering because i don´t find much to read about it.
After i upgraded to 6.0.1 my main camera can record one video after boot. then the camera app fc.
Front camera and taking pictures working fine.
After a reboot video recording (might) work again once.
If that occures also video playback via mxplayer, album and youtube don´t work.
I already reflashed the latest firmware, used stock rom´s and different kernels. Nothing solves my problem.
Luckily i found an old 6.0 backup so i restored that to see if it´s maybe smth hardware related.
But no. With the "old" 6.0 backup camera working good again.
So anyone has similar issues or ideas?
