Hi... I am a newbie here and I hope someone will help me.. or guide me..
to start.. I have a local brand phone.. I'm from Philippines.. my phone is SKK Kraze..
I can't give much info about my device.. The problem is I got stuck on the boot logo.. It started when I became curious and start to modify the system folder.. (Yeah.. I know I'm stupid 'coz I didn't even think of making a back-up..) I just wanted to remove the sound and the manufacturer's logo on the boot.. it started very well and I actually remove the sound.. but when I rename the Media folder on the system and make a new Media folder.. (yeah.. i'm such an idiot.. I know.. ) then reboot the system, my phone got stuck in this boot logo.. and this logo is not my default boot logo.. I don't know where it came from..
I tried to use Aroma File manager because I'm thinking that if I accessed my system file.. I can get back it's original set up.. because I have the back up of the bootanimation.zip... but the problem is.. I cannot run the Aroma File manager in my stock recovery.. and I don't know how to instal the cwm ..
hope someone will help me.. and I'm sorry for my bad english..
any one??

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately I'm unable to find any information at all for your device here on XDA, shiv isn't uncommon for low activity devices like this. Ultimately that kind of means you're stuck. Unless you want to learn how to port CWM to your device yourself, but that could be very difficult with the device in its current state. Anyway, here's a link for you:
Porting ClockworkMod Recovery to a New Device
Good luck!

Hi There,
Please forgive me I am a complete novice when it comes to Android phone.
I have a chinese Dual sim phone that I have routed with superoneclick. I have put clockworks recovery on it with rom manager as I was trying to create a copy of the ROM. I also installed Droid X Recovery Bootstrap, however in droid x I pressed the fix permission option and the phone started changing permissions everywhere and now my phone wont start. It keeps booting up in a loop and I cannot get to the recovery to wipe the memory and start again
What SOC does the device use?
If its Allwinner based, you could boot from mmc or reflash with livesuit.
21ss, thank you for the reply.
Sorry my friend, I have no idea what you mean by What SOC does the device use?
You say that you can boot from the mmc slot, please tell how and with what software.
Never heard of livesuit.
I have attached a word document in rar of the ebay item that I purchest.
Any help that you can give me would be very much appreciated.
At the moment I have a paper weight.

Hey guys the good thing about this phone is that you cant brick it, it cant be hard bricked easily... but I suggest you go to this discussion and find possible solutions, I had same issue and even tho I never managed to fully sort the issue, its because of my laziness... I could if I wanted, I managed to get it to a position I can use it and I have been using it like so for months now... here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1618775&page=3
1st of all, i am a beginner. Just brought my android ics phone last month. I also rooted my phone by the help of my friend last week. But yesterday i was trying to restore factory settings. But i accidentally wiped my system. And now my phone wont boot. It stuck in BootScreen. Nothing happens then. I dont have the backup of my rom. what to do now ??? Please help!! Sorry for my bad English & Thanks in advance who wanna help me
..
What recovery are you using? Even if you wiped the phone you should still have it running. All you need to do is reboot in recovery mode. Hard to tell you how as I dunno what the phone is.
Before that you'll need to download your stock firmware and put it on the root directory of your SD card if you have one, so that once in recovery you'll actually have something to flash.
If the phone doesn't have a SD slot, then you'll need to use a recovery tool on your PC to flash it.
Right now shut the phone down, remove the battery, find some guides specific about your phone, and read them carefully. There's a reason why we're using recoveries. First thing you should have done is to backup your stock firmware somewhere on your computer or on the cloud, and make sure you knew how to use it if something like that was to happen... Little late for that now.
When you'll know what to do, just mind that you still have enough battery to flash the stock ROM. Come back to ask help here if there's something you don't understand. Good luck!

No problem. Just install this partition manager free. It is perfectly adapted for windows 8. And you are offered a variety of options which can swap/merge/separate new partitions. With a very easy-to-understand instructions, everything is perfect!
Thanks for kindly reply

Hi,
Please can you describe with more details and clearly what exactly is your problem?
Apparently your device is a Hewlett Packard Slate 6 voicetab - OS: JB 4.2.2
Is your device rooted?
Last operation made ?
Don't forget that you need to be more explicit when you need help

Can you tell me where have you downloaded your rom?
And apparently, you have changed the governor and the frequencies of your kernel.
The only solution is to use your nandroid backup for restore your last version.
I'm really sorry but we haven't forum or thread about your device.
I will tried to find something for helping you

i download the rom from the official HP support..(sorry i cant put the link bcause not have 10 posts)so i attach a screenshot.
i dont have back up from nandroid..im just change it and reboot the device..so i dont have the backup :crying:
yeah i search it but no one in the forum talk about this device
apreciate it for your help sir :good:
You need to post the URL of the HP site. Also, without a backup it's going to be pretty difficult. You're going to have to find the factory image somewhere on the web. You did some pretty serious modifications as Ikuza27 eluded to. Good luck

I'm really sorry but I cannot help you more. I've tried searching a link for a factory image or something that it can help you, but except the HP website for support, nothing.
For your next device, don't forget to do a nandroid backup before to do something.

frramework-res apk is a system file which shouldn't be tampered with without extensive knowledge. It contains the elements of the Graphical User Interface. The bootloops are happening due to many possible reasons resulting from modifying this file. Please use only rated developer modifications or stick to stock settings. Please seek information on factory resetting device. If this is the result of running a particular mod then perhaps the mod isn't ready for your device/rom version, report it to the correct sources and leave them to correct this issue in their own time.
Thanks
Thanks
I am very thankful to that information you have given to me.. Thank you..
