Hi there,
my nexus one is stuck in a boot loop and crashed during the "X" animation.
It is not yet rooted but I'm able to boot into flashboot and recovery. If have data on the phone that I need to secure first before reseting or flashing it (like contacts, messages, not synced).
Is there a possibility to backup the data in any way? Or to restore the system without loosing data?
I've heard that with the N1 if I root it I will loose all the data, so this wouldn't be an option. Can I do something with fastboot? Or with the recovery mode?
One idea would be to somehow reinstall the last froyo update with the recovery mode (update.zip on sd card) and to hope that then it is working again. Is that possible? Is it possible to activate debug mode with boot time (it is off currently)?
Any help is really welcome. Thanks a lot.
so no one got an idea? then it seems I have to do a factory reset unfortunately

Dear experts,
I was on moto G 1033, unlocked, Philz touch recovery, Nexus 5 experience ROM. From that I tried to encrypt the phone, I left it connected to charger for 5 hours but still it just showed the blank screen.
I can boot to fastboot on the phone, and Philz recovery too. The only way to remove encryption is supposed to be factory reset, but factory reset is giving an error about unable to mount /sdcard. I guess this is because /sdcard is now an encrypted partition so cannot mount it normally.
Most other options that I can think of are resulting into this problem of inability to mount /sdcard. Please help, I am stuck here.
thanks a million
Ok guys, I was able to restore to stock ROM using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219

anyone know how can i recover my files?
Hi
let's say a mistake happened, caused to brick the tablet which resulted in the need to flash the stock rom.
Is there a way to recover data from this device that was previously encrypted?
I can still see the files (at least on the SD-card) but I'm unable to open them after this event.
The data on the memory from the tablet itself is 'gone'.
I suppose that recovery was an option if it was NOT encrypted, yet impossible now?
