This thread is for all those who want to see what the motherboard of your beloved phone looks like. I had a destroyed myTouch (one of the 5 I've bought, but the 4th doesn't count because it was a Huawei, I got a refund for that) and I've labelled all the important parts. I'm uploading these because of the MSM8260 Snapdragon, also known as Scorpion. The original clock was actually intended for 1.7 GHz but it got too hot so Qualcomm dropped the maximum stock clock to 1242 MHz. Interestingly enough the entire thing is not SoC. The Adreno 220 is separate from the CPU, and the system memory is actually manufactured by Samsung. That is also the case for the Huawei model as well. In the last image the tiny golden box in the way bottom left-hand corner is the microphone. This one is dented. The gold pins sticking up are the antenna connectors, which also houses the speaker on the bottom of the phone. One of them snapped off when I replaced the screen, and that made my network connection not work. The gold metal - is real gold.
Please don't take apart your myTouch to see it yourself. If you want I will add more pictures.

Qualcomm 4G/3G/EDGE Radio
main System
Original images are attached, along with a bonus image I found here. Overall the processor is one of the best of its time, being dual core and having a maximum hardware fuse limited clock of 1.728 GHz.
Questions, comments, concerns, and thanks are always welcome.

It would really be nice if this were true: "256 ROM, 1280 RAM"
---
I think they meant to say "128 mb ROM".
It looks very similar to "upcomming imate ultimate 7150"

Hope the external screen has a caller ID. This was one of the biggest gripes for the Universal.
I also see no call accept / reject buttons on the outside. Does this mean that for accepting a new call the lid will have to be opened??. But I hope I am wrong.
The screen looks flush with the casing just as on the HTC Touch. Possibily this also has touch flo techlology.
The design looks attractive unlike the Universal which was a bit on the ugly side.

"I also see no call accept / reject buttons on the outside"
suspect it's because it's more of ucpc then a phone
and about ultimate then hope they do get released to give htc some serious compatition which is always healthy
but i still have a fear that they are vapor
4 inch wide screen 800 x480 pxls will have 16M colors rite....
If it is ....then it will be fun.....may be the first windows PPC offering 16M colors...

I checked out the slide and it says 256 ROM and 128 (!) RAM, not 1280. Too bad, but not the end of the world. I'm stilling loving this device
There are three antennas:
1 - Upper left part of the phone
2 - Upper right part of the phone
3 - At the bottom of the phone
Which one is the GSM antenna ? And if someone know for what are the other two antennas, please tell me.I want to paste anti-radiation stick under the back cover and it must be near by the GSM antenna.Thank you.

"And if someone know for what are the other two antennas, please tell me."
the good bet would be
wifi
and gps
Top Left: Wifi / Bluetooth
Top Right: GPS
Bottom: GSM / 3G
You should note these stickers are complete bull. The FCC has gone as far as to sue several manufacturers of them.
Also when you view videos on youtube of them "working" here's the gist of it.
They place the sensor of the Digital EMF Meter directly behind the sticker. If the sticker is made from TIN or LEAD, then yes you will see a reduction directly behind the sticker.
This doesn't mean your phone is actually emitting less radiation. In fact it might be emitting MORE into your face, as the sticker is placed on the back, and merely refracts the radiation.
@ Rudegar - I know that the other two are for the GPS and WiFi,but I which is for the GPS and which is for the WiFi
@ @Class - Thank you a lot

The Taiwanese manufacturer today released an official teaser for the device-within-a-device, boasting its display, processor, economical benefits, and impressive battery life.
For those who may have missed the specs sprinkled throughout the promo, here's what we know so far:
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor at 1.5GHz
4.3" Super AMOLED qHD display (the tablet features a 10.1" display, no word on resolution)
8MP rear shooter (featuring a 5-element f/2.2 lens)
Stylus/Headset accessory
Over 14,000mAh battery power between the pad, phone, and dock
Overall, the PadFone is still looking like a pretty intriguing device. Despite the fact that the video seems to have hit a speed-bump in editing (the entire sequence repeats itself sans audio), it still provides viewers with an official piece of media to confirm that the device is still coming. The release of an official promo could also mean that we're due for more information any time now. Source : AndroidPolice
At any rate, it will be interesting to see whether ASUS' unquestionably novel device can pull off the concept of a phone-powered tablet without coming off as merely a gimmick.
I just want to know a price on this. And what service providers the phone part is compatible with.

You have to wait little longer.
I bought a Xiaomi Redmi 2 on ebay, once i got it i tried to flash it to put it with a rom in my language without success. So i started to explore the phone and look for info about fake xiaomi phones, so i realize it's a fake and opened a dispute on paypal with the seller.
The volume buttons are hard to pressure. No hologram in the battery, the Imei and SN in the box didn't match the phone. Besides other "small details"....
How can i flash it and install a different rom? The phone seems pretty good for a fake.

Hi,
You could try posting your question here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/t/redmi-2
Maybe one of the experts for that device may be able to help
Good luck!
Hi,
I ordered today a new USB Board, because my old was damaged an wouldn't charge, neither give sound.
I saw on my favourite online shop from my country that this same cable goes from 7$ up to 35$.
They said that the 7$ cable is original, but I noticed some diferences in the image:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I marked in red that I note that there is a piece not soldered on the pins. On the original board, this pin has some black component on it:
Now my question: What are the diferences between them, will one "fry" my board over time or something? And what's about that sensor, I never used the humidity sensor, for what do the s4 use this sensor?
Yet another question:
Some people say that the I9505 USB Board will fit in the I9500 and some say that it doesn't. Who is right?
Because I saw some used ORIGINAL board for like 5$, but they are all for the I9500 and I have the I9505.
I saw that my board has REV.25 on it, and the I9500 board has REV.08 on it, are they any diferences with compatibility?
The i9500 is powered by Samsung's own Exynos processor, while the i9505 has the Snapdragon 600. The USB board might be different because the Snapdragon has certain sensors, modems, and other hardware stuff that the Exynos doesn't. That's just a guess, I don't know for sure. That said, I would go with the board specific to your model just to be safe. Different physical hardware means that they might not be cross-compatible, or even physically fit.
