[Q] Motorola Xoom OS issue - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Motorola Xoom MZ601. I really do not know much about it, but I assume that it has been loaded with a different OS. When I boot into the Android recovery mode it does not come up with the little robot. It says that the build is "Panthr XOOM Recovery v2.4-TA", "Theodore Tribute Edition"
I have formatted the device and tried the flash update.zip options. When going through the flash update, it does not recognize the zip file signature and aborts.
Any ideas?

[Q] Cannot boot Epic Unleashed ROM on Droid 2

I followed the instructions for installation and when I rebooted my D2, the Epic Unleashed boot screen seemed like it was in a bootloop. I restarted and brought up the android system recovery, but I can't "apply sdcard: update.zip" because the signature verification fails. I can't toggle this option because there is not an option for that in the android system recovery menu.
Please help... I just wanted to install this custom rom on my device and now i can't even boot the stock one.
I think the install instructions are flawed

I'm bumping this because I had a d2 bootloop on me using an Epic ROM as well. Either the instructions are flawed or I had a one-off incident, but either way I'm not willing to indict myself in the matter since I've been able to load custom ROMs on my G1 and consider myself fairly knowledgeable.
At this point I've rooted and manually removed some of the VZW crapware, but I have hesitated to load any custom ROMs to this point.

Help needed with ClockworkMode in Motorola Defy

I'm trying to upgrade my Motorola Defy. I went through all the process but one step: setting up the ClockworkMode.
Right now the phone cannot boot. When selecting the "apply update from sdcard" in the Android System Recovery screen, the process starts but fails to verify the signature on the ZIP file.
I'm thinking what I would overcome this with the ClockworkMode Recovery, but I cannot install it via the Phone.
Is there a way to set up the ClockworkMode directly in the SD card?
Any other idea?
Have you tried to install original stock rom back onto SD card and reboot to that? If it boot back to stock rom, then start over again from scratch.
Thanks cybermayvberry.
I've just tried with stock ROM 4.5.1-112 GB 2.3.3 with MotoBlir for DefyPlus (MB526)

I downloaded the RDS Lite and driver from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1100585
I installed RDS Lite & Drivers.
I Flashed the SBF file (in the phone I get: SW Update In progress...). In the RDS Lite everything goes fine, Result=PASS.
The phone apparently reboots fine (the RSD Lite sense a Connected status), but nothing can be seen on phone's screen.
Any idea?
I'll try with a different sbf.

can't get a rom on razr maxx

I have a droid razr that was rooted with bootstrap and cwm. I was trying to install a rom called gummy 1.0.1. I backed up my stock rom with cwm. installed gummy on my sd card and deleted my old rom. but when I went to unzip gummy it said installation aborted, then my phone did a reboot now my phone is stuck on the moto screen. I can't get to cwm. but I can get to the boot mode. If I go to fast boot my pc dose not see my phone and I do have the latest drivers. If I go to recovery I can get to system recovery and go to my sd card. I found cwm / backup but it won't do any thing. So my question is if I can put my sd card into my pc can I put something on it to get mo old rom back? Since I can not plug it in with my usb cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank the Newbe!

[Q] Need help, transfer archives via recovery

Hi guys i need help, i wanted flash a ROM but i make format system, wipe data and i forgot transfer the ROM, now i don't know how transfer the Zip of the ROM, because i only. can enter into bootloader and recovery because the phone ovbiously don't start, help me.
PD: i can't use adb in recovery :c
If you wiped the data, there's nothing to recover.
Having the same issue now :crying:
Flashed my ROM and boot screen is stucked now, wiped all my data...
Have tried using TWRP and CWM old 4.3x but no luck, as when I try to boot recovery it just go straight pass it to boot the ROM. (Bootloader -> Recovery -> Volume Up)
I have noticed that my computer (Windows 8.1) is missing out driver for XT1034, however it should be identified as XT1032 not XT1034?
If I could get a driver software for XT1034, I could possibly use either Recovery mod to mount the /SDcarrd/ and then transfer the ROM zip file.
What I've currently using:
Tesco Moto G (8GB)
CWM v6.0.4.6
Previous ROM is Stock KK
Motorola DeviceManager Software - contains the drivers for Moto G
What I know was that my phone was definilty recognised as XT1032 and not sure why it changed to XT1034...
Please someone shed some light
Got it sorted now, back on 4.3!

Moto G 2013 (X1031) Will Only Boot Into Recovery

Weirdest problem, and not one that I've ever encountered after playing around with Android since the G1 days!
My Boost Moto G 2013 will only boot into the recovery, no matter what I do. I've searched and searched through Google and on XDA and found nothing that matches my problems exactly.
I can get into the bootloader (am running version 41.1A) and flash a new recovery. I've got TWRP on there right now, but I've tried CWM as well -- same problem. I've actually installed Android 5.1 from the stock flashable zip, and it says it flashes fine, but still won't boot into it. No matter how I restart the phone, it just goes straight into recovery.
Any ideas?
I'm assuming that you've tried different ROMs? I had a weird problem where I could no longer flash any ROM's without getting an error. Only after I did a complete wipe of everything (including internal storage which was the key) was I able to properly boot up. Not quite the issue you're having but worth a shot, make sure you can access the phone on your PC so that you can copy over the ROM after the wipe.
I have had this problem recently. I believe I had to fastboot flash stock recovery, then an older, smaller CWM to avoid partition mismatch problems. Then flash the TWRP you want with a zip with CWM.
