[App][2.3+] Who's got the funniest phone number? See if you have a cool vanity number - Android Apps and Games

The app is not actually made for checking if you have a cool vanity number ("1-888-PIZZA"), but that's one way of using it
I created the app as a help for finding meaningful names to a given number, making it easier to memorize numbers.
I'll never forget the security code to my car stereo anymore. It's "cake" - (2253)
If you'd like to check it out, or perhaps see if you or your friends have a fun phone number, you can check it out at play store - NameMyNumber.
Hope you give it a try, and hopefully have some fun :fingers-crossed:
Please also remember that you can select different languages for your results. (Settings button)
Here is a 2 minute youtube video of what the app is supposed to do
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aqXvAn-M5U
Here it a couple of screenshots from the app.

Very cool! Thanks you
I didn't get any fun words out of my phone number. But my best friend has a great one .
I probably shouldn't post the result here... I'm not sure my friend would like me to distribute his phone number

would be way cooler if you could search directly from contacts
btw my contacts never returned a word more than four letters long

Thanks for the tip
I actually thought about searching through the contact list. It's just that I'm affraid people would be very sceptic if the app needed access to contact info...
What are your thoughts on that? Would you be OK with it?

Well, thats why you can select a given word, and then again get a new search result. Limiting the new search result based on your previous selection. A sort of "drill down" into the results.
That way you may be able to get 2 or 3 words out of your number.
Numbers containing 0 and 1 in the middle part of the number, tends to provide less good result. Since there are no characters for 0 and 1 on the dial pad.
Did you try to combining one word with others?

From my point of view, it depends on what the app does.
- If I expect an app to make lookups in the contacts. then I'd have no problem with it.
If I don't see why an app would need it, then I agree with you.

Perhaps I'll add a "share via" function that enables the user to send a contact to NameMyNumber.
Any thoughts?

Sure, why not. Although it would be easier for the user to pick from a list within the app...
By the way, I showed the app to my younger brother. The app became quite the laugh amongst his friends at school. They where competing on having the best number

Thanks for the feedback, that's very kind of you

If anyone has some more feedback on the app, I'd love to here it.
If not, I suppose I'll leave it as it is, this strange little app...
And then move on to the next project.

No worries , I should perhaps had an "Tip" splash screen of some sort, informing the user that the results can be selected. I'm sure that if you didn't get it the first time, there are lots of others in the same situation.

Many people want to generate random numbers. A simple reason is to pick a number for wining a lottery. But for many scientists it's critical to produce sequences of random numbers. It's very useful to me and I thought that it could be useful and to other people.
And for fun!

I wouldn't argue with that, although me and my team does! For example, when I am out in the middle of a forest and for statistical purposes I need some random numbers to make some evaluations, I trust my Android phone for this. I am enviromenstalist and my job is mostly not in the office.
Anyway, I didn't say that this program is useful to everybody and moreover its free. If you don't like it and don't find it useful, don't bother installing it.

My friend, your mind cannot produce random numbers. It's kind of difficult because you always have in mind for example your favorite number, the date you were born, the number of your phone etc. But this program does.

I add Yes or No option, just for fun, if you mean this. But the Numbers and List option are very serious if you need them. Besides there are people that doing the job of producing random numbers for a living! No, I'm not joking, if you ask someone who is doing statistical surveys for example he will tell you that random numbers are the key to his work!

So the app is a really good idea, keep working.
Setting favorites and/or history would be great.
Ability to vote too!
History is coming in the next version. I also plan to integrate it with Share menu so that's it easier to use it.
Do you think it would be possible to make the look more like "Holo"? Or at least an inverted colors version so we get a black background?
I will try to improve the interface too.

I released a new version yesterday which allows to switch between dark and light themes. Please give it a try and let me know how it looks.
New UI with a new version:
BugMeNot was cool years ago. Site owners have been using it to poison the well, so to speak, lately. I think they run a script that checks BugMeNot for accounts, and then removes them or bans them (or bans the IP of anyone who uses them -- I hit that once, wouldn't even let me sign up for an account since I came from the same IP as someone (myself) who tried to use the BugMeNot account). Somebody needs to reboot the service with a way to prevent the same thing from happening. Otherwise it's better to just make a throwaway account.
There are still many sites where bugmenot accounts work.

Well, I see at least one useful usage for a captcha solver; to bypass annoying hard to read captcha that can bother blind people using a screen reader.
Also I believe it would fit in a penetration testing kit for web apps, i believe this tool could turn as a very effective tool to bypass this type of authentication measure.

First off, great app, but there seems to be some issues.
I have an htc one s and it seems as though the OCR does not pick up certain letters like "I" and "W". Additionally, it seems to take a lot longer to solve compared to other apps, and if you want to add a letter after the screenshot is taken, you have to wait for it to load. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks. I actually wanted screenshots from the game itself so I could figure out why the detection was failing for your phone's screen size. The screenshot you sent me is from my app. Although it includes the game screenshot, it is resized version, and hence no good for me.
Anyway, update v1.2 is available in the Play Store. Now it won't start the auto-processing after image detection if it doesn't detect all the letters. So you can fill in the missing letters manually before hitting the GO button.
Sorry. Here are two examples

Good idea and well execution! i really enjoy the playing the game in apknite. but i wish it has more levels to play and harder gameplay in the end. feel like it's still the same like the first few level. easy for the kid, but not for adults.

You are right.
But so much information available in Google can be little bit boring.
In this app what I have checked, required and concise information is provided.
Yes bro. I tried to search like that, all I got many links and of course wiki. I got all info, but took much time and that to so much not that important too. Another thing, if I am browsing this info in my droid, it is tedious. But, an android app like this is helpful that time.
We have done hard work in collecting the data from different websites and created this app with the most suitable and concise information. Yes, this app will be handy in checking out the info and also can be a good reference for students.

Hi community, I made an android application to track your invite and share your referral url. Please give it a try and contact me if you have any feedback or suggestions.

With One2Invite you can add your User Id and track your position on the OnePlus 2 invite list. In the application you can see you current position in the invite list, the number of referrals you already have and share your invite url. The application also checks for position updates and produces a notification when your position changes.
To get your User Id just to to your referral URL and the last digits is your User Id.
https://oneplus.net/de/invites?*****=XXXXXX
The XXXXXX is the User Id.
If you find any bug or have any suggestions please contact me.
I am happy to announce that the application is now open source. The repository can be found here: https://github.com/SandroMachado/one2invite
Google removed the app from the Play Store, if you want to use the app just download the apk: https://github.com/SandroMachado/one2invite/releases/download/1.2/app-release1.2.apk

Good jod man.. Did what it says. But OnePlus2 seems to lose it sheen already. Battery sucks and Fingerprint scanner is as troublesome as OnePlus1 camera. Let's see what issue next might be as troublesome as the touch screen issue of OnePlus1. The app just needs to tell how much got bumped behind or forward if that's not asking much??
well I know when I signed up I was like number 120.000 something, just checked with the app and I'm always losing rank, I'm at 213553 now.
How the hell, thankfully I'm not really interested in the phone anymore. I'll keep my oneplus one some longer

Update: Notifies for status change of position.
Getting down and down. When registered i was like 300k+ but now am 2000k+ position.
Anyway OnePlus2 is not a phone to be waiting for. The battery sucks and without quick charge I don't want to add any external power backup as the phone is already heavy. Not my cheese.

Great suggestion! I will try to add it in the next release.
