I am having trouble installing app to /system/app. In Kitkat you could simply copy .apk to /system/app and change permissions to rw-r-r but in Lollipop there is a bunch of a subfolders and doing that doesn't work. Even if I put apk in the folder with the same name as apk. So does anyone know how to do this on Android L?

I've extracted the framework-res.apk from a rom to change some images. Is it safe just to copy the new apk to system\framework, change permission and reboot?
where are the apk file for the system widgets? i checked system/app, its not there.

I'm running ResurrectionRemix MM build 24/02 with OpenGapps Stock 26/02. I want the camera app from RR. How could i extract the APK ? You know that Stock Gapps replace the AOSP Apps so that's why i want that App only, the AOSP Camera app that comes with RR.
Any thoughts ?
PD: I already try extracting with 7zip but can't find the APK on the zip file.

Thanks man for the Script but now when i copy the apk to my OPO, it won't install. What am i missing ?
Push to /system/app & set correct permissions (755 / rwxr-xr-x for folder & 644 / rw-r--r-- for apk)

i just make modified settings apk but when i replace the modified apk to my system the settings app disapper from the launcher and app not opening
Now how can i fix this,
i use apktool to edit the apk {Windows10}
zipsinger
and es file explorer in android to replace the settings apk
and i check the permission currectly

Hi guys, Today I was looking at the system partition,
I have nougat 7.1 and found apps in 3 folders
/System/app/ i know here have system apps
/System/priv-app/ I know here have system apps with more permissions
/System/framework/ here I found only two apk
Framework-res.apk and also Something like CyanogenMod apk
Today I have installed one apk in /system/framework/
My question is, what the difference in permissions of apps installed on this folders?
and why anyone install apps in /system/framework/ ?
