I apologize for not being specific enough. What i want to root is a kyocera hydro vibe running 4.4.2. I have tried everything under the sun it feels like, i was looking for something that might possibly work. BTW, thanks the response!

Yeah i did try that, it said something about signature bugs not present. Also, i did find something called rootmmyvalet on github that said it might work with other types of phones, but everytime i try it, errors keep popping up.

Without root this phone is useless. If we could figure out how to downgrade I could take it from there.

[REF][ROOT] Easy Rooting Toolkit [v3.0](zergRush Exploit)

First off, thanks go out to: CrimsonSentinel13, paxChristos, and DooMLorD!
A couple days ago I tested DoomLorD's Xperia X10 Easy Rooting Toolkit [v3.0](zergRush Exploit) on my windows 7 vm after using my [Heimdall][UVKJ6] Back-To-Stock Heimdall One-Click.
Today I was also successful rooting from my debian linux vm using methods 2b and 4 from this page: [HOW-TO] Root Phones w/ Android v2.2.x-2.3.x (zergRush Method)
If you are feeling squeamish, there is also a noob friendly guide in pdf format available.
I hope you find this useful.
Cool. Gonna try it on my dads phone and come back. Thanks.

Great! Let me know how it goes.
I saw another thread where they had taken the same process, but ported to mac and linux. I might test that as well, and if it works, I'll update the op.

Hey, cool! I wanted to try a smaller set of testers at first
I'll post in the dev section after I get some testing.
For me, so far so good. Almost an hour on the new kernel.
You know you don't need this thread if you use that kernel.
If you feel like testing, check out: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/11298-beta-kernel-testers/
Nothing fancy going on yet. Just stock kj6 from source with cwm+voodoo lagfix. I just want to build up a QA base for testing changes.
Don't comment about the kernel in this thread. If you don't have a rootz login, please PM me if you find problems.

I urge you not to rely too much on the guide that was posted, the razorclaw method no longer works.
I have a rooting guide here that is quite in depth and should get you going so long as you do not have a TF101G.

If you guys run into something like this, let me know. I am still around this section a bunch and use my TF daily.
@zak_2099 I suggest using EasyFlasher. Mine is a B70 as well, (is an SBK1) but once Wheelie was introduced, it didn't matter if SBK1 or SBK2. If you need any of the files that won't download for some reason, just let me know and I can upload them this weekend.
@baseballfanz Nice to see you around again. Been a long time. Hope all things are well with you.
Rom wan't boot
Hi all.
Relly i wanted to ask this in development forum, but I can't to some posting restrictiions for new registered users. So i'll write here, may be someone have a solution.
I flashed No-name CM10.2 nightliy on my tf101g, but it wan't boot, just showing me asus splash and stops. I used ROM from this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2402752
Why can be like that? CM10.1 also from NoName running now ok, but 10.2 just wan't boot at all. So i tried some erlyer builds and got the same result. Flashing process finished without any errors.
And also, there is no builds about a month, why and where I can get them? Should I build it from git repo?
Thanks.

Do a google search for root master. I used that to root mine and it worked in minutes. If you are having trouble finding it, I can post the URL to get the download. 2 versions are available. I would try to get the english version, as the other is in Japanese. Hope this helps.

Envizen EM63TX

I was considering picking one of these tabs up. The specs seem better than my sm-t210, it's even running KK 4.4. and the price is pretty good too. I can't really find any info on it, like how to root it, but any help would be appreciated. I have to have root on all my devices. I saw another thread on here about rooting a similar Envizen tablet, I wonder if that would work on this device too.
Again, any help or feedback would be appreciated.

I was finally able to get this tablet rooted. I Used a Chinese root App. called VROOT V1.7.9.2. This was the only version of this App. that I got to work with this tablet. The newer version did not root. I did try many other common one-click Apk's & and pc programs but no ROOT. I have successfully rooted 5 of these tablets with this version of VROOT.
P.S. did AnTuTu Benchmark and it scored 20043

Or even if you would consider selling one already rooted, that would work too. Where are you located?

I received my unit 3 days ago and this worked for me I am rooted without issue vroot installs some crap that is hard to get rid of I used titanium back up to uninstall.
Also I can't get titanium backup to do a back up it say insufficient space the unit uses sdcard1 for the operating system and usb storage for the install partition so my sdcard is called sdcard0 this could be the issue. I tried sdcard fix but still not working.

Check the existing thread. Everything you need has already been explained.
@jonas.anderssen
Why exactly do you want to root? Because you have a specific need, a particular application that you can't live without? Or because it's super-cool to have a rooted phone? Rooting can be simple, but it brings difficulties, such as no longer being able to install OTA updates, so you're looking at doing manual updates every month every time Google releases a new version with security updates.

There are countless threads here and also dedicated stickied threads describing step by step how to do this. If you want someone to hold your hand and don't want to do any of the reading or work, then you shouldn't root your phone. Because you'll just be on here in a month crying about how your phone is bricked and wanting someone to hold your hand again.

Hello, i am sorry i thought i replied to you but somehow i missed it. I would like to root my secondary phone because i do have some apps i cant use them without a unrooted phone. I am aware that i wont be able to install weekly updates but thats not necessary because this is a secondary phone.
I have found out a website that shows me how to root it it asked me to download fastboot, recovery clockworl. beta supersu, android studio and hamemrhead mmb2. It seems to be a complex issue but i remember in the past i used ODIn and it rooted the phone within 10 seconds without any issue. Is that still possible?
Thank you again for your time
Ten seconds, no.
But the website says to download "hamemrhead mmb2", which I suppose is Hammerhead MMB29S. If all you want is root, and not a new ROM, you can do it easily by booting into recovery (CWM or TWRP) and installing SuperSU v2.66. It's that easy. 30 seconds, maybe.
And if you're going to work on your phone you need to work on your typing skills first...
You have an excellent resource in this Q&A section, had you read prior to posting your own thread, you probably would be rooted by now.
