What worked for me - i had bricked my phone, did a full wipe without any backup
Basically had to "push" through ADB and get a grip on the device.
1. ADB operations - my phone was recognized as an android device connected to the USB but didn't appear under adb devices
2. I followed some operations to basically start recognizing it as my Lenovo A6000
The advice I got was from "Unbrick lenovo a6000 plus (also lenovo a6000 )" by tink2hakk (a lot of thanks to him)
"most of the people facing the problem : (Bricked lenovo a6000/plus )
Device not showing in adb i'm i right ?
if yes follow the following things:
1) install minimal adb and fastboot
2) install lenovo driver
3)install lenovo smart assistent
Now connect your phone to pc/laptop and pen minimal adb (py_cmd ) as administrator
now enter the following command :
adb shell
(now your device will not be listed )
Now enter the following command :
fastboot boot recovery.img
now you get thing like <waiting for device >
NOw remove battery and keep and now go to fastboot mode smile emoticon done your device will be listed and recovery will be flashed and now your device is ready to install custom rom smile emoticon try and give feedback if it works if it works subscribe to my youtube channel youtube.com/user/thevinayvinu "

[GUIDE]Newbie Guide for How to Root/Flash Recovery/UNBRICK on Canvas A111

Hi good day to all am RJ am going to guide how to ROOT / FLASH RECOVERY in Micro max Canvas A111 jb4.1.2
WARNING: If your Micromax Canvas A111 smartphone gets bricked or gets damaged while following the tutorial given below, we shouldn’t be held responsible. Proceed at your OWN RISK.
I will try to keep this guide up to date. Please let me know if you find something wrong or missing
Content:
1) Introduction
2) How to root

1) Introduction:
Micromax Canvas Doodle a111 is a 3G Android smartphone with a 5-inch TFT HD Touchscreen display. The phone is powered with 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor and it runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly bean OS. With 8 mega pixel rear view camera, the phone offers high quality image capturing. If you are looking for a smartphone under 10000 INR with good features, then Micromax Canvas A111 would be the ideal choice!
If you are a user of Micromax Canvas Doodle a111 and would like to gain root access for installing rooted apps or custom ROM’s, then the following tutorial will help you. I have given step by step instructions for rooting A111 smartphone below
2) How to root:
Prerequisites To Root Micromax Canvas A111 Smartphone1. Take complete backup of your personal data in the Micromax device using appropriate apps. Although the root process won’t affect them, its safe to keep a backup.
2. Remove all the Antivirus applications installed on your smartphone for virus protection since sometimes they will cause trouble while the rooting process is going on.
3. Charge your phone battery and keep its backup level above 80% as the rooting process drains the battery. If you don’t have enough battery backup and your device gets switched off during the rooting, then surely it will get bricked. Avoid it by having a good battery backup.
4. ***Enable USB Debugging mode in your device by following the path: Settings -> Developer Option -> USB Debugging.
5. *** Make sure you have drivers for your phone Download from here http://www.androidrootguide.com/micromax-usb-driver-download-get-drivers-micromax-smartphones
Once you have done all the above mentioned tasks, you can move on to the rooting tutorial given below.
download any one application from bellow links
1. For VROOT :: click here
2. For Root Genius:: click here
Tutorial To Root Micromax Canvas A111
> To get started, download VROOT / Root Genius from bellow link and install it on your computer. Once installed, open the application.
> Now connect your Micromax Canvas A111 smartphone to the computer using the “USB Debugging Mode”. If you have installed the required USB drivers for your phone on the computer, then the VROOT application will automatically detect your smartphone.
> Now just click on the “Root” button shown on the VROOT / Root Genius window and let the rooting process begin. The smartphone will get restarted several times during the process. So, don’t panic. Once the rooting process is finished, the device will reboot for one more time.
> Thats it. Now you have successfully rooted your Micromax Canvas A111 smartphone. If you want to confirm whether you have successfully rooted or not, use the “Root Checker” app. If you encounter any issues while following this rooting tutorial, do let me know via comments.

5) Troubleshooting
a)Unbricking
If you are reading this you have a problem. Your phone has become a brick. But do not despair yet as there are a few ways to unbrick your phone. Let us first determine whether it is a soft brick or a hard one.
**Soft Brick: Basically it means your phone is bootlooping or showing a blank screen but you can still go to recovery/download mode. The easiest way to fix this (and determine if you have a soft vs hard brick) is turn off the phone and then press the volume up button and powerbutton (keeping vol up pressed). If you see recovery no problem flash stock rom
**Hard Brick: If you cannot enter download or recovery mode then you may have a hard-brick. This is not a fun situation to be in but there is a fix that may work. It involves lots of linux commands and is not for newbies but then if you are hard-bricked what have you got to lose.
Here is the guide done by ChinmaySharma to get back if u hard bricked

if lenovo shows on your device, now is the time to recopy aroma file manager and supersu. if not just wait for the screen to turn back on.
e. once twrp recovery is on, go to mount and check SYSTEM. (do not touch anything aside what i unstructed)

xposed isn't necessary to root the phone. Am I right? Maybe you should explain that in the OP. You'll get people confused down the road if they don't already know what they're flashing.

Will it work on s219?
I just badly wanna root amd this is the easiest way i found..
Thanks:cyclops:
And yes,one more question,
During unlocking the bootloader, will it only format my phone or both phone and sd card?

hi
will it erase internal phone memory (i mean after flushing ROM can i get my data using any recovery software)
i am also using same s219 Rom model lenovo k4 note phone.
Actually i deleted some files unexpectedly from internal memory but i want them back, so i tried many ways but no software is identifying internal memory as a drive. I tried to root using root apps but marshmallow not allowing.
i found this topic, but i have only doubt is after flushing the rom can i recover my data using any recovery software?
Thanks in advance
thank you so much!
now to answer some queries and give thanks...
@Duffy144: glad you like it.
@Bdwilk: thank you for the input, i will do that.
@infected_162k: i haven't tried yet since i haven't been able to check latest OTA, but i will try it now since s218 causes lag and memory leak when using facebook messenger. and as you've said. thanks for the confirmation for s219, at least i am more confident. btw, does this really solve the memory leak of the s218?
@anvesh.k yes it will delete all files as the procedure requires you to factory reset your handset.
Rooted K4 Marshmallow
Damn. Finally. I got root. Can finally get rid of that Cell Broadcast. Thanks Sir ansei. The unlocking of bootloader, flashing of twrp and supersu process is pretty much straight forward and will only take you about less than 10 minutes.
Am not sure if this is a systemless root i have. If so, it's great. I am on S_219. Zero performance or stability issues.
I feel my K4 Note runs smoother and snappier compared to S150 row. Still getting the hang of the revamped user interface though.
Overall, Marshmallow 6.0 S_219 runs great with unlocked bootloader, twrp and supersu.
Can someone confirm if this works with 2 gb / 32 variant?

Amm, about that memory leak thing, i basically know what that is cause it was a huge problem in my father's phone(gionee m3). But i exactly don't know how to know if it's still there or not as I use messenger hardly 2-3 times a week. guide me about this so I can tell you exactly.
Another thing that will help other users: I have to factory reset my phone due to a google error ( unable to communicate with Google server). I was not sure about root and xposed will be gone or not. But here is the result : lost both, root and xposed. Just flashed both again, super su and xposed framwork, worked

Old data? Not sure what you are referring to. After the unlocking of bootloader, flashing or twrp and root, restarted the phone in normal mode. Went through the setup wizard and all. Reinstalled my usual stuff. Back to where I left in Lollipop. Zero issues with Marshmallow 6.0 S_219.
Sir Ansei, everything is fine except 1 minor issue, when rebooting to TWRP, I often get the black screen. Power cycling the phone works. Any ideas?

May be what he trying to tell is he accidentally deleted some of his important stuff and now he wants to get it back with the apps that use root to dig around. But as per my experience, it only work if that portion of sd card of internal storage is stayed untouched not if overwritten by something else. But if you already rooted, just give it a try...maybe you'll be lucky...

call fastboot.exe flash recovery recovery/recovery.by.gursewak.img - needs to be edited? make sure path is correct and image name.
call fastboot.exe flash recovery recovery.img
Just put recovery.img in the same folder
I cannot get fastboot to recognize my device & perform the bootloader unlock. Whenever I type in " adb reboot bootloader" or click on that "unlock_recovery.bat" file, I get booted into a dark screen where "fastboot" is written at the bottom & the command prompt window says < waiting for device> & I am stuck there until I reboot my phone.
Please tell how to get past this!

Upgrade QiKU (CP8692_I02) to 6.0.1, official updates and also activate VoLTE

Hello Friends
A little background first !!
QiKU Q Terra (CP8692_I02) which was sold in India and came pre-installed with 360 OS v21, Android 5.1. The OEM went back to China hence there haven not been any software update for our device. I had been trying to boot latest Chinese 360 OS on Indian Qiku Terra to get updates but after flashing the Chinese version the device would not boot at all and would get stuck in fastboot mode. To revive the device, I had to flash back the V21, I had tried several times but no success.
I even got in touch with the 360 OS engineers over mail with the help of an administrator of Qiku Chinese forum but the engineers said it's not possible to flash Chinese 360 OS on Indian Qiku Q Terra.
I had also been trying to root QiKU and I was able to figure it out all recently.
Check out my post -- https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...i02-unlock-t3493636/post69455878#post69455878
This tutorial is also useful for users of CP8692_M02 who had flashed the v21 on their devices and now are not able to go back to CP8692_M02.
Warning !! Try this own your on risk although it's very safe if you follow the instructions without missing any steps. Don't blame me if you still manage to kill your phone and loose your job :laugh:
Let's begin !!
Just ensure your device bootloader is unlock before you follow the instructions as it's required to boot 360 Chinese OS on the Indian QiKU.
Download the latest firmware and flash the same with YGDP or Qiku Download Assistant tool. When finished, the device won't boot and still be in fastboot mode. Now boot TWRP recovery from your pc, go to the folder where you have the TWRP recovery and press shift and right click and select "open command window here" and type the following
fastboot -i 0x1ebf boot (recovery name).img
This should boot TWRP on your device.
You can also flash TWRP recovery if wish to,
fastboot -i 0x1ebf flash recovery (recovery name).img
Now boot TWRP
fastboot -i 0x1ebf boot (recovery name).img
When in recovery mode you can use cmd to extract params partition which contain your device model name. Open cmd on your pc and type the following command
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p30 of=/sdcard/params.bak
Once done, you'll have a file name params.bak on your phone's internal memory, copy the same to your pc. Download NotePad++ and install it, link - https://notepad-plus-plus.org/
Only use NotePad++ to edit the params, don't use NotePad. Plus make a copy of your params.bak file and keep it somewhere safe in case you mess up with original params file.
Right click on params.bak and open it with NotePad++, now search CP8692. The device model name would be CP8692_I02 just change I to M and save the changes, now it should be CP8692_M02.
The system partition size is not enough to flash Gapps hence you need to use TWRP recovery resize option.
In TWRP recovery and select > Wipe > Advance Wipe > System > click FS Option > click Resize FS now you shall have more free space in system partition
In TWRP now click reboot then click bootloader, in bootloader press volume up for fastboot mode. On pc open cmd in the folder where you have params.bak saved and type the following command:-
fastboot -i 0x1ebf erase params
fastboot -i 0x1ebf flash params params.bak
fastboot -i 0x1ebf reboot
If everything went well your device should boot Chinese 360 OS, Android 6.0.1 normally.
Now flash modified Gapps in TWRP which you have downloaded. The modified Gapps has Gmail & Hangout beside core apps and rest you can download from play store later.
If you flash bigger Gapps, the device will not boot or it shall be in bootloops coz of Gapps size and if you don't flash Gmail and Hangouts with the modified Gapps and download the same from Play store then it would give you connection trouble.
In case you wish to root then flash SuperSU.zip in TWRP.
Back to the booted device:-
To Activate VoLTE, download QuickShortcutMaker app from play store. Open the app and locate MBN test > click on the dropdown menu > click Try > Tick Volte_OpenMkt-Commercial-CMCC > and last click Activate.
Close the app and go to phone setting > Call settings > and enble VoLTE and you're done. You should see HD sign in the status bar of your phone. Now you can enjoy VoLTE calls.

Have you tried the code in custom recovery mode??? If you're using the code when the device is NOT in recovery mode then you have to use the following code:-
adb shell
su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p30 of=/internalsdcard/params.bak
Just bear in mind that you have to be rooted to use the above mentioned code and in recovery mode you don't need to be rooted.

Flashing the supersu.zip to root Qiku is the easiest way if you ask me. I tried my best to give the instructions in a simplest way possible making video is not on my mind.
Changing the model no in build.prop would not help in booting Android 6.0.1 on Indian Qiku v21. Had this been so easy I would've done the same a long time ago
update file params.bak edited
step 1 : flash rom china and flash TWRP
Step2: flash params.bak
Step 3: reboot

[Resolved] Trouble shoot for Xolo Era X and 4G Twrp installation.

Hello Everyone -
Welcome back , In previous post i explained " How to install twrp and root Xolo Era X,4G" but i forgot to mention some things which resulted errors for many users making it non-beneficial , I mean wasted time , data , or may be the android rom. Thanks for describing problems in previous post. Now it's mine turn to return you something original , something good .Search your question answers here and problems.
Please note that this thread is only for Xolo era X , 4G marshmallow 6.0 version only , 5.1 is not supported .Sorry but update to 6.0.
1. `adb` is not recognized as an internal or external command
Ans - If you are facing this error then probably you are not in the folder where adb and fastboot tools are installed .
You have to open command prompt only where adb tools, drivers are installed.Still not solving then google it.
2. adb devices = blank (nothing is shown)
Ans - I think you have either not connected your smartphone with usb debugging on or you have not installed proper version of adb and fastboot drivers. Please google for different versions of adb and fastboot.
3. fastboot devices = blank (nothing is shown)
Ans - Same as in above answer.
4. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img = <waiting for device>
Ans - It means that you have not installed fastboot drivers properly or you have not connected your devices in fastboot mode.
5. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img = no such file found or recovery.img not found.
Ans - You have not copied or moved recovery.img(twrp or cwm image file) in the folder where adb and fastboot are installed .So put the recovery.img (it can be twrp.img or somename.img) in the adb and fastboot tools folder(it can be either found in local drive C or at any custom location) .
6. Recovery Installed successfully but still booting in stock recovery or Computer shows installation successful but still opens stock recovery.
Ans - This is a great problem for many users and it is happening due to security policies of android 6.0. To fix it Do as following-
(1) Install twrp recovery and when it say success plug your battery out .
(2)Put battery back and open smartphone in recovery mode by holding VOL Up + Power Button for 15 seconds.
(3)Now your smartphone will boot in TWRP recovery but your twrp recovery is still temporary .
(4)Install SuperSu.zip by twrp recovery and this zip file will patch boot.img and system files.
(5)After installation of zip file reboot your smartphone .
(6)Your smartphone will restart 2-3 times and finally will boot .
(7) Finally you have rooted your smartphone and installed TWRP permanently .Now install busybox and enjoy.
Note: Please Select Expert Mode when you open SuperSu app first time after this process(you will be asked by SuperSu app to select two modes 1 Expert , 2 New User ; always select Expert or root will not function properly).
I hope you got what you wanted . If i helped you then please Subscribe , like and share also Hit thanks here on xda.

I hope you got what you wanted . If i helped you then please Subscribe , like and share also Hit thanks here on xda.

Flashing kingo root superuser is not a bad idea, you can try it but be aware of risks so take a backup through TWRP.You can try anything new after taking backup,if something goes wrong then restore your backup.Good luck.
Need latest twrp recovery
I want the latest version of recovery for xolo era 4g and want some custom roms....plz make it.....plzz
I'm facing an issue with the OEM Unlock toggle in developer options. When I toggle it On and select OK for the pop-up box that comes. It automatically disables it. Can u help me out with this and tell me why I'm facing this issue?
yes.. i was too facing this problem but if u are trying to install custom rom then u can flash 5.1 version through SPD Upgrade Tool and then toogle that option then install ur custom rom...
no option is there!

[GUIDE] Rooting Blu Grand M and Install TWRP ( STILL WORKING ON IT )

HOW TO ROOT Blu Grand M
Disclaimer: I hold no responsibility over what happens to your phone during the beginning,in the middle, and after you follow this guide
backup your files, if you don't then you're about to lose em.
(keep in mind, work in progress, sort of... ?, your choice to follow this guide)
DON'T 100% TRUST THIS YET, BECAUSE THERE IS NO CUSTOM ROM OR ANY WAY I KNOW TO ALLOW YOU TO INSTALL STOCK OS AND KEEP BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED AT THE SAME TIME. APOLOGIES. YOU CAN TRY TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT IF YOU WANT. I DON'T HAVE THE DEVICE TO WORK ON THIS.
--start--
Now, before you start. I feel that you need at least a VALID reason to root.
like, why do you want to root? is it for some app that requires root privileges? cause it'd be pretty useless to go
through all this without a proper reason .---. , I'm going to divide the steps into 4 Chapters (hehehe)
also the entire reason why this post exist is because I was helping a friend gain ROOT privileges cause they have an Blu grand M haha..
I don't see that many posts regarding this.. this is just to help people , if you already knew how to root your phone from the beginning then good for you.
Chapter 01: Getting prepared!
Just, WHAT are the things you need to begin rooting exactly???
well(downloads in here aswell):
a computer
a cord for your Blu Grand M
SD card
TWRP recovery for Blu Grand M from Original forum post here , by Laelson , here's a google drive link
SuperSu flashable zip file > http://www.supersu.com/download
make sure the drivers are already installed aswell
ADB > https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
STOCK ROM > https://www.needrombd.com/Rom/blu-grand-m-firmware/
Chapter 02: Getting started!!
enable developer options by going to settings > system > about phone > keep tapping "build number"
enable "usb debugging" and"OEM Unlocking" in developer options
plug phone to PC
open CMD on your computer then do CD <driverletter>:<into ADB folder>
in cmd , type "adb reboot bootloader" and press enter
put .IMG file into same folder as ADB
on CMD do "fastboot oem unlock"
choose YES
your phone is wiped.
Chapter 03: Flashing TWRP and using SP flash
now, with 2nd chapter done. and the IMG file of the recovery is in the same folder adb is inuse the cmd and type "fastboot flash recovery <nameofFILE>.img then reboot to twrp and then POWER OFF , once its off. open SP Flash Tool extract the downloaded STOCK ROM to its own folder and on SP flash tool and select "scatter loading file" and locate the scatter file of the stock rom after that. you should see on the big box that there are alot of things. unckeck "recovery" and click "download" , and wait for it to finish once it is finished unplug and BOOT PHONE INTO RECOVERY
Chapter 04: Flashing SUPERSU and reboot ;D
make sure you put your supersu zip in your sd card or phone storage by now, if not then put it in there first , ok so tap on install and locate SUPERSU zip, flash then reboot ;D
CREDITS
- @Laelson , if no TWRP for Blu Grand M then root isn't going to be on this phone for a while , so thanks
Not confirmed by anyone else but my friend. but try it if you want
My twrp worked Bro?? Congratulations for your tutorial. ?
it's showin internal storage(0mb)...
adb do not working good for my devicve... I download every thing right but when you type
adb oem unlock..... you see ( wait device)... and stop my phone in fastboot mode.... I can not get out from that... when you type ( fastboot devices) no thinge occure ... and you stay in fastboot mode....... I could not get out of it ... I tried several methods and could not .. Just left my phone until it was completely extinguished ... Then I re - shipped it .... It works now .... Maybe work with you ... but never never Succeed with me ..
Will this work with the Blu Grand 5.5 HD as it has the same chipset, processor and GPU? It has a different screen size and resolution
Hi all, I just want to let you know that
* yes, it does work, my friend was able to install it and boot into twrp but so far I have not seen a proper custom ROM for the device I was helping my friend with. so we quit (he eventually got a new google pixel phone anyway)
note: yes, we have installed TWRP and booted into it. but someone has to: make custom rom for device or try to find a way to install STOCK OS and keep bootloader unlocked at the same time. will update OP to warn everyone. sorry.
P.S: sorry for the really late reply, was busy with life.
Hi bro! I tell you that the terminal that I have now, I CANNOT flash anything, it has the BootLoader closed and I can't penetrate or delete it. Any suggestions? Scripts commands do not work, they issue an error message.
