Hei Guys,
i have an Moto G ,running Android KitKat CM12.
After Rooting my phone, setting up an custom rom i noticed that my recorded Audio Messages in WhatsApp/Audio Recorder App are really bad.
They are sound really muffled. The Bass of the Sound is getting removed and it sounds a bit clipped.
I don't know how to fix that.
My speakers are sounding clear and soft.... just the mic quality went completely worse after the custom rom installation.
Please help me Guys. <3
Thanks a lot
Steven

after root & unlock i have Bluetooth sound quality issues ....any suggestions ? thx
Did you flash a ROM? Simply rooting and unlocking should have no impact on that.

tried couple different rom's right now i'm on clean rom
What do you mean by sound quality issues? Like is there a lot of noise, sound distorted, low volume, etc?
I'm on CleanROM Developer Edition 3.1.1 and I'm having no BT sound issues and I use it in my car with a Samsung BT adapter (with Apt-X)
obvious troll is obvious
thanks , i switch to clean rom 4.0 an everythings run nice now , before everybody on the other end was complaining about sound quality ...
hi,
I would like to know if the mic peformances are better on a custom rom (like CM10).
thanks for your answers.
Hi, I need a phone that's capable of running Cyanogenmod, and I'm considering buying the Moto G because it is relatively cheap and powerful. I just need the opinion of someone who already has this phone, would you recommend the Moto G to someone who wants to run CM and why/why not?
Is the last M snapshot usable (not having any serious bugs that are dealbreakers), in other words, is this phone a viable option for someone who want a cheap phone with CM, or should I stay away from it?

Well, the latest unofficial CM11 M9 on the thread in the general section works pretty amazing for me. The support is also improving. So I would go for it.

What I have to talk about the "CyanogenMod 11" in "Moto G" (Dual SIM) is that it is running well. Use the "The Green Machine" kernel 1.2.5 because the latest (2.0.1) is closing the camera app.
Has some bugs .. at first were not important but are currently driving me mad ..
BUG: In WhatsApp when I get a great audio, it crashes while running the audio and closes the app.
BUG: In Multi-SIM settings, selecting data for the second chip it shows an error signature.
BUG: Audio delay in music player. It has been corrected with a fix audio.
For now these are what I found. I'm still constantly using and testing various functions and applications.
It is good for design and options it contains. However, sometimes, the little bugs make me mad.
I had no crashes system for now.
I did not test good games yet.
Sorry for the english .. Translated by GoogleTradutor.

Can I ask what this bug was doing? I'm wondering if it's the same problem I'm having. I'd try to change the volume and the app would freeze up and eventually stop responding. Can't figure out for the life of me how to fix it.
Enabling Bass boost in DSP manager fixes it. You can also flash the old audio libs. The flashable zip is available in one of the threads.

EDIT: Assistance is no longer needed, I have found the solution.
Hello everyone!
I'd like to post an issue I've been having with custom ROMs on the Galaxy Express l8730.
The stock ROM works flawlessly and without a problem.
But the problem comes when I flash CM11 or CM12 there is an audio problem I cannot seem to understand and I haven't found it anywhere on XDA.
The problem is :
1. Playing music or any other audio on the phone is sped up at approximately 1.5x speed.
2. Call audio is horrible, with distortion similar to something like a robotic chipmunk (my guess being the phone tries to play the call audio in 1.5x speed but can't since it's obviously real time audio).
In the ROMs thread there was someone mentioning wrong baseband, I have tried to flash the latest stock ROM with the right baseband and flashing CM11/CM12 again but the problem persists.
Anyways, these problems are extremely frustrating and have seriously put me off installing a custom rom on my Galaxy Express.
So if anyone has any clue, solutions or fixes for this sort of thing, please please PLEASE help me.
Kind regards,
Gal
Not sure if this has been answered, but I searched this sub-forum with no results. Is MultiROM something we might see in the future for this phone?
Also, bonus question so I don't have to make another thread. Is it just me or is this phone's Bluetooth audio significantly lower than other phones? Seems my S7 edge (screw that phone) got way louder in that department. That phone was stock, this phone isn't. I've never used audio mods but now might be the time. What do you guys recommend?
Don't know about MultiROM. Guess we'll just see.
Regarding BT audio. Didn't stumble over this "issue" yet. But if you're looking for a sound mod, take on that's really universal and we'll done. I use Sauron from Ainur Audio Team. Thread by the team leader @UltraM8 can be found right here on XDA. it's a sound mod with some really good add-ons and a really good audio quality.

Thanks for the reply!
I'm actually pretty surprised we don't have it (MultiROM) yet.
I'll go ahead and check that out once I'm off work, appreciate it!
Bump (is MultiROM still being pushed out anymore or was that just a phase?)
I found out about my Bluetooth issue. It was actually because I allowed poweramp to go louder than normal. If anyone is wondering.
