[Q] Showbox and mxplayer - MX Player

what do I have to do for the Showbox to link from my phone that's a galaxy mega to my television doesn't LG Smart TV I need to link them together

MX Player doesn't yet support casting; I'm not sure why Showbox would select MX Player as the default.

showbox mx player work around
I played around a little and found a work around for this issue of casting movies into a tv with showbox. First open showbox then download the movie you want to watch, after it is complete go into your file manager, then internal storage and locate showbox folder. Touch and hold on the mp4 file movie you downloaded then select move and then go to internal storage then to your file folder named video and select ok to move file once file is moved open allcast choose device to cast to and choose gallery then choose the mp4 file you moved. You can download your next movie in showbox while watching the movie you downloaded. Its not perfect but it works

"My TV" in Media Player

How do you get files to show up in the "My TV" area in media player? I've tried renaming video files with all kinds of extensions but nothing works.
Answer
Your need windows media center edition then you can transfer your recorded tv. You might be able to convert mpg or avi to either dvr-ms or wtv then use Windows media player to sync it with your phone.
Thanks sandrobber. So are you saying that I can't just change the extension to say "wtv or dvr-ms" and have media player update the library and have it be in there? I would have to use Media center to transfer the files over? Lets say I did that and the file is transferred to the phone and everything is okay. Lets say the file is named "conan.wtv". If I reset my phone or wanted to move that file to another phone can't I just copy that file to the new phone and have media player do a library update and it be in there?

mx player pauses 1 second when pushing back button.

Hallo,
I use mx player as an artist.
But there is a problem.
I play mpg files directly from es file.explorer.
When I press the back button during playback, in order to go back to es file explorer to find the next track, mx player pauses performance for a.split second.
It was not like that a year ago but since 6 months there is this .

some of the third-party app are using their own drivers to mount the even unsupported filesystems. Those mount points can't be accessed directly by the other apps. So, it may not be detected by MX Player.
Can you do the following to collect a bug report for us?
Install MX Log collector
Connect the HDD & Open MX Player
When it crashes, immediately open MX Log Collector & save the logs.
Share it here or upload it anywhere like Google Drive / Dropbox and share the links.

Mx player playing web link issue m3u

Hi I have a link from a website that I want to make into a shortcut file that I can play in mx player android. When I paste the link into "network stream" everything runs perfectly but when I create a txt file with the link and change the extension of the file to .m3u or .m3u8, the file plays but I can't skip around the video. So the text document would have the following in it
Http://www.youtube.com/video.mp4
I ran the file in the VLC app on android and I can skip around the track so must be mx player Anyone have a fix or better option to do what I'm doing Thanks

Chromecast is out for Mx player v1.12.3 ads supported but not for Mx player pro. Makes me wonder why did I paid for pro license.

Thanks for sharing your concerns.
To provide a more stable experience to pro users, we may release some new/experimental features on the free version first. However, we assure that they will be released to the pro version once it's stability is ensured.
Hopefully, MX Player Pro with chrome cast and native 64bit support will be released to beta users by early next week. Stay tuned with us for further updates
Can't cast SMB Networked media (NAS) - Playing stops dead and won't restart
I use "CX File Explorer" on my Note 8 to explore my shared networked drives. (NAS) When I tap on networked media in CX File Explorer it passes the file to MX Player Pro to open. The files play perfectly on the phone screen in MX Player as they should. However, if I then hit the cast button in MX Player the playing file stops dead.
I see open media information on the cast screen with the MX Player logo at bottom. If I go back to CX File Explorer and reopen more media in the networked folder the same "open media screen" stays on the cast screen. The phone screen flashes like it tried to open and then acts like nothing happened. Networked media will NEVER open or start. Happens on ALL networked media files once cast is enabled.
If I leave cast enabled in MX Player and then browse to local storage in CX File Explorer and open another copy of the SAME media file it will start playing perfectly on the cast screen as it is supposed to. The phone screen will also change to MX Player control as it is supposed to. Everything works properly as it should, providing the media is on LOCAL storage and NOT from a networked drive.
So strange that networked media works perfectly in MX Player when cast is OFF and not at all when cast is ON. What am I doing wrong? Is this a bug? Proper casting has only just been added to MX Player. I love the cast feature. Can we get cast working with media files on shared network drives? (NAS)
