I tried installing Cyanogenmod for my Xperia V and when I got into Philz recovery, I located the CM 11 zip amd went ahead to install it. Few seconds later error pops up and says unable to install cause this is only for "Xperia V, tsuba...) and this device is "mint. I have the DoomLord's kernel but nothing else.
Hi there,
The best place for your question is in the dedicated thread for CM11 from Xperia V. Register an account on XDA and read/ask here:
[Q&A] {V}[DEVELOPMENT] - CM11 - Android 4.4 - FreeXperia Project
Development thread: {V}[DEVELOPMENT] - CM11 - Android 4.4 - FreeXperia Project

Hello Developers, as Sony released Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for Xperia L & as Basic 4.4 Build is available, it is greatly appreciated if any developer could build an image & post.

There is already a thread on 4.4 build..
Read before posting..
Try this one at your own risk

Or just wait for CyanogenMod.
Next time use the Search button at the top right of the screen

I need to build android for Samsung Note-3 'ha3g' for a project. The cyanogen, carbon android images/roms available for note-3 are for the 'hlte' model, and give the error message 'cannot install.. your device is 'ha3g' .
I have used carbon to build the rom for Note2 (n7100) so I have gone through the build steps. But cyangogen stops a few minutes into the build with no error.
And I have not find any instructions online on how to build for Note3-ha3g. Can some one point me to how to build android for the Note3- ha3g ?
Thanks!

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
The link you provided also shows some addons. There are already some GApps included.
I guess that you have to download those addons separately and flash the corresponding zip files in recovery.
Better to ask in the [HELP THREAD] Galaxy S3 Ask any question..
There you will get proper help from users owning the same device.
EDIT: I found this thread about ArchiPort ROM on xda:
[ROM] [4.4.2] [Stock] [Sammy] [N7100 Port] ArchiPort | Finished ... this seems to be the official one.
With the hint: "This bloatware was removed in Beta 1. You can install it at any time, preferably while installing the ROM. Installing any of these, rather than using other Play Store alternatives, may increase lag and RAM usage." in the first post.
For questions about this ROM, please ask in the corresponding Q&A thread.
Good luck !
Thread closed and thank you.
Happy new year !
Hi , I'm entirely new to this rooting & custom rom thing I have the sony xperia m c1904 model. Since sony stopped updating it any further from Android 4.3 I've been researching a little & found a little about cyanogenmod developers so what exactly cyanogenmod 12 differs from cyanogenmod 11 . I've heard it's still in beta or nightly stage so what's more I'll get apart from android 5.0 why cyanogenmod 12 matters? Please explain.....
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. The difference between those two versions is as follows:
CM11 is based off Android 4.4.x KitKat
CM12 is based off Android 5.0.x Lollipop
So basically you can see that each CM version number increases when they start developing using each new version of Android that is released.
CM9 = Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0
CM10 = Jelly Bean 4.1
CM10.1 Jelly Bean 4.2
CM10.2 = Jelly Bean 4.3
CM11 = KitKat 4.4
CM12 = Lollipop 5.0
In order to ascertain exactly what features are being included in ROMs that are CM12 or based on CM12 you'll need to do some research by reading the individual ROM threads in the specific section of XDA for the Xperia M. You'll find the Xperia M section here:
Sony Xperia M
Bookmark that page and subscribe to it too, that'll make it easier for you to find in future. Within that device forum you'll find sub-forums like:
Xperia M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
(where you can post any questions you may have, just remember to search before posting because any question you have has probably been asked and answered many times before, so make use of the very handy XDA search feature)
Xperia M Android Development
Xperia M Original Android Development
(where you'll find ROMs, kernels, etc)
Ok, so now you know where to go, get started and do some reading. Good luck!
I ported AOSP Extended V4.1 [Android 7.1.2] using some guides. It gets installed successfully. But stuck in boot logo. Any developers can help me please post down below
Also you can Telegram me - 8779985045
My email address - [email protected]
The proof that 7.1.2 is installed, is when I connect phone to PC and open MTK Droid Tools. It shows Android version - 7.1.2
Please if any dev helps me we can get 7.1.2 for our device
I'm using this guides -
GUIDE 1 - http://www.techubng.com/2016/08/mtk-rom-porting-guide-mt67xx.html
GUIDE 2 - http://www.techubng.com/2016/08/mtk-porting-guide-mt67xx.html
If I get successful I will report here and you'll obviously see a new thread about the ROM
