[Q] Bricked awe? - General Questions and Answers

My zte awe got messed up so I energy went into recovery mode and cleared cache. My phone was able to boot up after and worked fine until I restarted the phone a few days later. I tried to boot up the police but it wouldn't go so I did the recovery and cleared cache. During the process the phone froze longer than it should have and was unresponsive. I took the battery out and put it back in. The phone never turned on since. Completely unresponsive. My pc still recognizes it but I don't know what to do. Is this a dead phone or can it be fixed.
P.s. I don't think it's a hardware issues as there was no damage to the phone only software.
Any help would be great. Thanks

[Q] Phone stuck at AT&T logo

Last night I was using my phone and it rebooted randomly, and when it came back up it got stuck at the AT&T logo. I pulled the battery and restarted several times with no luck. Even left it out overnight and tried again.
I can get the phone into 3e recovery just fine. Will clearing the cache possibly help? What information is on the cache that will be cleared?
I don't have an original charger cable right now, so I can't try download mode. I'm trying to avoid using Odin again, because I would rather not lose the huge amount of new contacts and notes I have in my phone, it would be a major setback.
My phone has also had some issues with a device I/O error, and I haven't been able to back up my phone, so I'm not even sure if download mode would work for me.
Please help!
Edit: As I was about to write that I have had this problem before.... my phone was at the AT&T screen and it magically works again.

I'm sorry if your not able to save all your contacts but the only way to stop your phone from flashing samsung over and over again is to use odin. Or the case could be is that your power button is either stuck or messed up.

Powering off upon boot

I woke up to find my phone off, I knew the battery was charged so I turned it on, when the phone booted and got to the lock screen the powering off box popped up and it shut down. I tried multiple times to boot but every time the powering off box would pop up and the phone would shut off. So I booted into recovery and wiped the phone, that didn't fix it, the phone is still shutting down upon boot, does anyone have any suggestions?
Update: I have flashed the stock rom and wiped all the caches and its still shutting down once it gets to the lock screen. Its almost like the power button is stuck, but I'm able to navigate in recovery fine so I don't believe that's possible.
I followed the steps on how to unroot and reset the phone to completely stock and the problem still persists, anyone have any idea?

If you have flashed the factory images and so on and all of this still persist than it's RMA time.

[Q] SGH-I747M won't reboot after Cyanogen update

Hi guys, my phone is right borked and I hope someone can help me out. I've been searching forums all day and I find bits and pieces of advice that apply to parts of my situation, but haven’t found a fix yet.
I installed CyanogenMod on my Rogers Samsung G3 a couple months back. Everything has been going smoothly until last night when I installed an update.
The phone rebooted and got stuck on the Samsung splash screen with the blue cyanogen dude. I left it for 30 min and when I got back, it was still the same.
I took the battery out, turned it back on and ended up in the same spot. I took the battery out again, turned it on and left it over night. Same thing this morning.
On advice from this forum I put the phone in recovery mode. I thought I had TWRP, but Clockwork Recovery comes up.
I did a factory reset, and cleared the cache. Rebooted and still the same thing.
I tried to flash the ROM, but it doesn't work. The android dude just lies there, dead. Poor guy.
I plugged it into my computer but even though the computer makes the connection ‘cah-ching’ its not recognized. Through the recovery screen I tried unmounting and mounting everything, and mounting as usb and the computer still won’t pick it up. I uninstalled Kies, and the drivers for the phone and re installed everything. The driver pop up says MTP has failed.
Any suggestions?

Someone please help me

My phone is going crazy. It's stuck in a boot loop, and when I try to charge it, it just turns on to recovery mode. somethings that I did that might help are that I tried to clean up the case, and I dried to up completely, it appeared that the case had bit of water and I put it on it was fine. The phone has been opened up multiple times to fix it up from water corrosion, and to replace dead battery. A long time ago, I tried to add root to it, and ended up bricking my phone, I solved that by wiping the phone completely. It had been dropped many, many times, and I wiped cache partition, and to power it off for 5 minutes. I know I've been very very reckless with it, so please help me.
Are you tried to turn on on to "Download Mode"?

If its soft bricked and nothings working use ODIN to flash the stock firmware to it.
This is probably going to wipe your user data so seeing as you can enter recovery use that to make a backup of your data then flash stock firmware to it.
If its a software issue that should fix it.
If it doesnt flash TWRP to it if you havent already.
Go to "WIPE"... Then "Advanced wipe" then select your system and cache and hit "Repair or Change File System"
after this is done I flash stock firmware again just to be sure.
This will wipe all your data but if its a software issue it should fix your operating system.

Question Bricked can't Seem to access anything

Hi everyone.
Last night my phone ran out of power and when I charged it back up it wouldn't boot at all, so this morning I decided to try and fix it but I think I have just screwed it up even more to the point that its completely bricked.
I could still access TWRP and tried to reinstall the firmware and flash TWRP through the checkbox execpt about 1 minute in the screen went off due to the time out, but the screen wouldn't come back on at all so I left it for an hour just in case if it was still running in the background, after this time I hard restarted the phone and entered TWRP again and but it didn't install the firmware properly and my computer wasn't reading the phone properly so as a test I tried to swap bootloader from A to B stupidly and now I can't seem to access anything, only thing I can do is the menu where it says start, power off, recovery mode and restart bootloader. Pressing any of these settings seems to just put me back in to this menu again.
When plugging in the phone in to the PC it make's no noise at all as well.
Have I completely hard bricked my phone? Or is there a way to fix it?
Thanks Ben
All fixed I flashed the RAW firmware
