Hi Developers, your posts helped me alot.
but now this time i am asking a strange question that might you think i am out of my mind.
I use internet for video download through tubemate, netbrowsing through general browsing apps, facebook through facebook app. and it costs a lot of data using on my phone on 3G connection.
Few days back, my internet provider has provided a scheme in which i can use unlimited usage of whatsapp, facebook, twitter. Now i am using unlimited facebook with this plan.
So, i was wondering if that's possible or not i dont know.
I was wondering to route all apps data connection through facebook. I mean if i want to use tubemate app , itshould use facebook server or thing like that.... you know what i mean....
i have micromax canvas juice a177 (Rooted). with stock ROM.
plz tell me if thats possible or not.......
definitely thats possible.
have to use any vpn to connect through that, or have to use a proxy server.
to use that with opera mini, download operamini handler apk , in setting server type = realhost, give any of your free website (fb /twitter ) .save and use.
thanks for the response....
wow really,
i will try and then let you know if that worked for me or not....
thanks again...
hi there....
i downloaded the app.
but how to use this app.... let me know...
i have attached the app.... plz send me the screenshot of it.
it would be very kind of you....
thanks

There is a tor client for Android too. But be careful mate... twitter and Facebook are not worth the hurt you and your family will suffer if your caught...
Ill grab the tor apk and post it here for you... but please be careful.. have a pincode on your lockscreen at the very least and have a disposal plan if confronted. Ie a small container of acetone or something similar that can be poored into the Sim/memory slots to destroy the evidence if you are in risk of pla or similar looking through your phone... you know also that people, if they know about it, will give you up to help themselves so keep it quiet too... don't forget you can't be part of the solution/revolution if your not here so stay vigilant and always be paranoid ... better the be wrong and look silly 1000 times but you really will be silly if you don't take precautions and you get caught. It only needs to happen once....

If your Internet access is being blocked by your ISP or other parties, you can always set up and use a VPN. I use a VPN service that has servers all across the world to have access to sites like Hulu or use Pandora and OnLive, even though I don't live in the US or the UK.
They also allow most regular internet activities, except P2P, which is only permitted through one of their servers in Slovakia or Slovenia or something (can't really remember, I don't use P2P anyway).

used it. it couldn't help. it brings up the government page when u enter facebook.com :-D
I think the best option is VPN, it is fast, cheap and more important,
really secure and you can get it on the net.

As sohrab1985 mentioned, VPN is also very secure. There are no traces to leave if you encrypt your traffic as well, except on your own tab.
In terms of privacy protection, I recommend Dolphin HD because it can be configured to browse without saving history at all. I have not found any other SGT compatible browsers that are able to do that. In case you ever forget to remove your history...
BTW: No VPN system is full-proof. Use this advice to work around the system, not get yourself in trouble. If you always connect to a server in the US (for VPN), that could lead to suspicion. Use only when necessary or something.

But I don't have such a problem!!!

Facebook app is by far the buggiest and slowest app i ever ran on my android phone, seriously it's almost unusable, tried it with 3 phones on 3 different networks, slow as hell and it doesn't know what "caching" means, even.
You're better off with "Fast for facebook" or "FriendCaster"
You can try clearing the app's data if you want, might work!
Thx for answer.
i have tried your tips but nothing helps.
Only friendcaster works. Faster for Facebook make a fc on login.
greets jr
i use friendcaster to view facebook pages and facebookmessenger to view msg. only thing is i cant put it to offline in the messenger.
Hi guys. I need some help blocking the YouTube app from my router (d-link). My brother is really neglecting his school work. He brings his friends over after school (while I'm at work) and sits on YouTube all day using the Ps3 because I've put a password on my main computer. At night, he's supposed to be learning for exams but he's on YouTube with his phone..
I've blocked the following addresses from the router:
youtube.com
ytimg.com
youtu.be
m.youtube.com
And this works if you visit YouTube from any Web browser but it doesn't seem to affect the YouTube app on Android. Any help? Please?
May be wifi kill can help u .....
And its good see ur care abt ur brother

Great idea! I completely forgot about WiFi kill.. Although, I think WiFi kill will only work if I'm connected to the network right?

I dont knw that to be honest....i have never used it before.
I'm looking for an Android app, browser or browser add-on..etc to block porn ...that's the only feature I'm looking for ...ANY ideas, tips..etc will be appreciated ...
2 notes:
1- i want to be able to run professional apps at the same time with no restrictions ..
2- I'm not rooted because my Verizon Note4 has no root yet
This make me laugh!!!
Could you please explain exactly why you need a porn blocking app?
Try fingerprint protection
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rickclephas.fingersecurity
All you need is your fingerprint to secure any app and playstore, so nobody can browse the Internet or install another browser
This should be 100% save and only works with devices with fingerprint sensor like Note 4!
Next way is explained on this YouTube video
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ngLf2S8WPi0
But the fingerprint app is the best way in my opinion.
Probably a misbehaving boyfriend

What should stop "you or your boy" to install another porn viewer on your Smartphone, so you need something like a child protection.
Or a better Password for the phone.

Hey there! Dude, if you wanted to download videos from facebook without using third party app, try using the site "fbdown". Try search it in google. I haven't tried it personally though, but it was recommended to me by my friend.
It was purposely for the desktop though but I think you could still do the process with a smartphone by using the "desktop site" of facebook in chrome. Just type it in the chrome browser (or any browser of your choice) in your smartphone and log in. Then find the video. There's a part in the site "fbdown" that gives you the procedures on how to download using the said site.
Ps. I don't know if this will work on smartphones because I haven't tested it for myself yet.
Ps. I am still a newbie at XDA so I can't show you the link here. Sorry for the inconvenience dude.
I hope it works for you.
Wish you luck dude.
Hope I helped ^_^

Thanks dude for reply.
I have already mentioned that the method should be of kind in which you don't have to use any other third party app or browser.
The method you have described is contrary to my query. I can tell you more convenient ways to download from FB other than you have described like UC Browser etc. which is having own built-in down-loader and whenever you play any video from UC browser from facebook or other websites even youtube, it display Download Icon. So thanks for your help, but it does not solve my problem.
I want to download from Official Facebook App of Android.

Oh, I'm sorry dude...
But, I think facebook removed the "download" function from the app... From which I occasionally see in my device... I think they removed it when they updated the app... I'm still not sure if they removed the function from the desktop site... But still, its worth a try.... If they did, I think you should stick to the third party apps or just don't download it..
Btw, sorry if you didn't get the kind of help that you wanted from me. ^_^

Yes , dude, Facebook has removed download option from their official app. but I am hopeful that my xdaDeveopers must have found a way to download video from official facebook app like previous methods. Nothing is impossible in this world. I am still waiting for the response of any member if he know the method,, please share here.
