Navigation touch circle

Hi, I just got my TP but I have encountered a problem with the navigation control which supposed to be touch sensitive. I have tried to zoom in and zoom out sliding my finger clockwise and counterclockwise around the circle but it's not working. It doesn't work in opera, photoalbum, messages. Am I doing something wrong or is it hardware problem and I should get a replacement??
When I first got my TP, I ran into the same problem. Make sure that you're not using your finger ON the circle, but just outside of it on the flat part. That entire bottom piece with the 4 buttons is actually a touch pad as well. So you'll run your finger just outside of the circle, and not on the circle itself.
Hope this helps.
Kevin
I have slided outside the circle just like the manual says but still no luck

Vertical home screen scroll?

I dont know if this exists, but I've done some searching and havent found anything.
Would there be a way to make the home screen slide screens vertically instead of horizontally? In a way that it would stop at the end of the new screen, not continue scrolling, would also be good.
This is just an idea, But I think it would be pretty cool. Maybe if we could even incorporate both horizontal and vertical, so your home screens would be above / below / left / right!
Even better. What if we had tilt abilities to choose apps!!
Instead of going up down left or right, just tilt your phone to areas of a map sort of thing and have apps in different areas to find them
Still no answer, please guys

[Q] P3113 w/ CM9 nightly - Missing soft keys when DPI set to 240? Way to restore?

I've installed CM9 (latest nightly) on my Tab 2 7.0 and prefer to use the phone UI. I've added the following to system/build.prop
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
This successfully changes to the phone UI and displays the nav bar at the bottom. Unfortunately, the soft keys (Back / Home / Recent) do not display.
It is possible to edit the navigation bar through the settings menu, but only the Menu button can be reassigned. It is also the only button to appear when editing.
Any ideas on how this can be fixed to properly display the buttons?

Aokp (rom control) allows you to change the keys around.
I would love to play around in a phone ui on here too.

I tried AOKP Milestone 6 as well. Similar but different issue. The soft keys appear when using the phone UI DPI, but they are stacked vertically in the horizontal bar. Basically you can see a half cutoff back button and a half cutoff home button. The recent button is off screen. And if you rotate the device, the soft keys rotate in place, and are then horizontal in the vertical bar.
I'm getting the impression that at this stage in their releases neither CM9 nor AOKP are accounting for the Tab 2.0's 90 degree offset default sensor coordinates. Another bug that convinces me of this is that Mega Jump (notorious for tablet issues) when launched rotated to landscape when using AOKP (using tablet UI / DPI=160) but appeared vertical on the landscape oriented screen, pillarboxed on both sides. To avoid any confusion envision the tablet being held in landscape orientation, with the 352 wide x 600 tall game boxed on both sides by black 336 x 600 rectangles. Hopefully that makes sense (I had similar issues with some of Aldiko's menus wanting to prefer landscape over portrait as well, no pillarboxing though).
Anyhow, I then switched to stock rooted deodexed UEALD3, Mega Jump launched, stayed in portrait orientation, and filled the screen as it should. Either orientation, stock or AOKP, the tilt controls worked fine.
Long story short, all this has me sticking with stock for now. I'm interested to see if the Nexus 7 is prone to these sort of issues, or if it has a default portrait oriented sensor akin to most phones, since it basically appears to be designed to be used in portrait. A big phone without the phone as it were.
Please let me know if there are any other things you think might work. I'd be thrilled to get around this issue.

Cubot X9 Long Button Press

Hi
Got this phone quite pleased with it apart from a few niggles.
Under settings I cannot find any section for buttons so I am unable to change the long press action for the home button from the default recent apps.
Any idea where or how they are hidden out of the way?
The other is the home screen cannot be changed (like previous phones on kitkat like cyanaogen) it always defaults to the far left screen and I always like screens to the left and the right of the home
Any advice or help appreciated
Download apex launcher to change the screens
Apex Launcher did the trick thank you. My only gripe now is the poor gps performance I am used to pretty accurate performance and tbh if you use it for driving it bounces from street to streets if any running parallel close by, and if you use it for tracking your runs you are all over the road never goes in a straight line

General Split screen issue

Split screen from full screen issue
Hi, if anyone's using split screen 2 finger gesture or One Hand Operation + gestures for split screen, did you notice that since OneUi 5.0 it mostly opens split screen apps in the top screen when going from a full screen. For example when I'm watching YouTube in full screen with a gesture it opens it on the bottom side mostly even tho it's inconvenient and not handy, it sometimes opens it in the top part of the screen if I rotate phone in another side. For example it opens it in the top side of the screen if the phone is in full screen - front camera is on the left side, but it opens it on the bottom if the front camera is on the right side. I don't see the logic.
