[q] samsung galaxy trend plus gt-s7580 overclock - General Questions and Answers

Hello everyone.
Does anyone know if there's an appropriate custom kernel for this phone in order to increase cpu?
Or an alternative way to overclock it
stock it runs @ 1.2 mhz and i would like to increase that.
So far i have tried setcpu.apk on the stock rom but the maximum figure is the stock 1.2 mhz.
Looking forward for a reply. Thanks

Yes, try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073626
Has anyone's G2x died from overclocking at 1.5?
Other then battery life this phone seems to run great at 1.5.
Other phones are not stable if you max them out but this phone is fine.
Only issue I'm having is restarting the phone with the Faux 0.1.3 kernel.

Nexus S I/O speed improvement script

Hi,
I saw a thread in the development forum few days ago. It was about a script which improves the io speed but the thread is away. I think it works for all hummingbird devices and the original thread is in another forum but I can't find it.
It would be very cool if somebody share the link.
Thanks

It was deemed as it wasn't necessary. If you want faster I/O flash a rom and kernel that has these tweaks. Such as CM7 and Trinity kernel.

Actually - you can. Try my MIUI ROM since it has even more tweaks, including I/O Tweaks.

i tried it but it says kernel is unavailable for my tablet version (n8013)
Trie it and it works good, but needs stock rom and kernel, I set my clock to 1.6 ghz to be same as note 2 (we have got same processor ) ,so far 1.6 ghz is safe as it is already supported by the processor, I'm on stock 4.1.1 uk rom

1.6ghz works. Anything above this freezes and reboots.
Why do you need to overclock this beast?? It runs beautiful every game highest settings!!

Did you use different kernels or its this the first custom one?
I've used adam kernel and faux kernel but this one feels like the fastest one. Haven't noticed any differences by using the other kernels compared to the stock kernel.

can someone please post this to dropbox or some other link that is much faster than deposit files. That URL is a piece of garbage. It literally says 45 minutes to download an 8MB kernel. I have 50mbps download speeds.
