Yes, try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073626
Has anyone's G2x died from overclocking at 1.5?
Other then battery life this phone seems to run great at 1.5.
Other phones are not stable if you max them out but this phone is fine.
Only issue I'm having is restarting the phone with the Faux 0.1.3 kernel.

There's really no "best" kernel; each phone's cpu is slightly different, and may work better with one kernel over another. Both the trinity kernels by morfic and faux's kernels have followings that love them; I personally and having great success with faux's stuff. Best to just nandroid, then try them each out and see what your phone likes best.
Aite I can dig that but wat do u use to overclock and undervolt cuz I dnt know wat settings to use with set cpu

Use pimpmycpu. Setcpu as I understand it doesn't work right with the tegra2 currently. You can get pimpmycpu for free here on xda (just search it), or if you want to support the dev you can buy it in the android market. As for specific settings, it once again comes down to each chip is slightly different, so you'll have to experiment. People will usually post what they've been successful with in the respective kernel's threads though, if you want a place to start at.

Faux cm7 kernel is pretty much your only choice since morfic hasn't updated his kernel with the newest cm7 chances in a while

I personally use CM7 w/ matrix kernel. Very stable, great battery life... no complaints here. I was also on the stock de-odexed w/ netarchy's kernel and that was great as well, I just like the added features on CM7 personally
Yeah I think I might just stick with cm and try that kernel thanks

I prefer Netarchy's kernel. Use that with Proton Voltage Control to UV to save battery life.
I flashed the imoseyon repacked kernel, but voltage control reports an unsupported kernel. It was my understanding that this kernel allows over clocking to 1.4ghz, but I can seem to make it work. Anyone have an idea?

If you're already on GB, you may want to wait a bit for Team Gummy's GBE 2.0... it will have all the sweet tweaks and themes that 2.0 has minus the OC/UV kernel (unless that really really matters to you)
Not so much on the overclock, I still have some weird issues with ep1q like everyone else seems to though. Ee4 was very stable reliable.

So which kernal do you prefer, and why do you prefer that kernal?
Which do you prefer?

Well I like matrix KERNEL cuz it has been really smooth for me. I also like bugles Pete's KERNEL cuz it also makes my phone run really smooth. But it all depends on the phone also. It could run good for me but u could have issues. I say just test them all out and see what feels better for u.

I use Yennob-Base "Base1 -1.2 Overclock | Tiny Undervolt" by dfbonney, which can be found here.
im using miui with morfics teuv88 kernel. miui runs really smooth and it saves lots of battery. also try the other trinity kernels and the matrix kernel.
so now its your turn, flash and use them and decide whats the best kernel for you and your rom.

I've been on matr1x and I just upgraded to the latest version 6.5 and I've had no issues. Maybe over the weekend I will try a new one and report back.

I've used most of them my phone doesn't seem to like to work with Matr1x Trinity UV and EUV work flawlessly. and Buggless Petes one is the most stable for me i don't tend to use the extra functionality that comes with Kernels ..

Hey guys, I'm just kinda curious as to what your highest overclock speed is so I can get an idea of what I can get it too! Thanks guys

This can go up to 1.6 so I heard..no need for that, risk is not word the reward..battery life fast drained and overall killing life cycle too fast..
1.2 or 1.3 are a good tradeoff

I wasn't able to keep mine stable at 1.6, and at 1.4 it had occasional freezes. It's all based on your phone, everyone's is a little different. I think with the newer roms overclocks are too much and you should stick to simply undervolting, although even the undervolts posted here need some tweaking for each individual's phone, as they caused my phone to freeze.

Of course I don't! Matter of fact if you have Tegrak here is my exact profile.
Its zipped in 7zip, only way itd let me UL it lol
If you don't have tegrak let me know and I'll write it out then ;P I'm lazy tonight. Plus if you have tegrak just throw this in your tegrak folder on your SD and bam ;P

With any rooted kernel you can use Tegrak Ultimate (Its a paid app, but super cheap for how well it works) and Overclock/Undervolt
Edit: My statement purely applies to our phone, as Tegrak will not work with all phones, and I'm too lazy to list all the supported phones.

SD/Tegrak/Overclock
on your SD card there should be a file named tegrak. Inside is a subfolder "Overclock" Put it in there. Now in Tegrak you can choose this profile inside the profile tab.
