Can you be more specific please? Does this happen with all apps, or only with certain apps? If it's the latter, which apps prompt that message to appear?

This happens as part of Google's fraud detection system and is very common for new accounts. The following search results elaborates this, along with fixes:

[Q] I would call that a bug?

I have one main account on the tablet, but I also check for mail on 3 other gmails.
Suddenly today the market pops up notification saying all 4 accounts have updates to their apps! Turns out the its the ASUS webstorage thing, which i don't even use.
But all 4 accounts get a mention? Or can that be disabled?
go into market hit menu click accounts and disable the ones you don't use
also i figure someone with as many posts as you would know to post in the right section

How? You can't. You can only chose the ONE account you do want to use.

What are you running, Gingerbread ? While in the market, hit the menu on the upper right, and then select accounts, then uncheck then account you don't want associated.

No, 3.2.1, which is probably not relevant if its the market app doing this. The market app is 3.3.11

And I repeat: I can't.
Hitting "accounts" lists the accounts, but there are no check boxes, there is only a "bullet" box (or whatever it is called) - where I can chose one of the listed accounts and once I do the list closes again.
Presumably that makes it the 'current' account (but doesn't prevent the notification for all accounts as wrote in the first post)

Yeah, you're right. That doesn't help at all. I also got two notifications for Asus Sync (or Web Storage, or whatever) today. Just update it, and both notifications will go away. I've never seen that happen with any other app.
Tried clearing the data from the market app? solved this for me when i installed revolver a day ago

Unfortunately, you can't.
Amazon's app store has that capability, but google didn't build it into theirs.
That mean when i use the "AUTOMATIC RESTORE" function on my phone, the phone will automatically install "ALL" apps i accepted before?

No, it depends on if you set the backup to restore when setting up the ROM...
If you don't then it would just take you to the Play / Market where you can go to My Apps and install the ones you purchased first before re-installing the others. (The above only applies if you don't back up your apps using Titanium or other such apps).

I can search Play for "password protect apps" if you like?
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=password protect apps
If you're still on KitKat there is an awesome Xposed module called Min Min Lock that does exactly what you are asking.

Can't access google settings on phone

I have a Chinese Honor 8 and have installed Google on it. Everything works fine but I cannot access the Google settings page. I know its there because I seen it pop up once asking if I want to enable Android Device manager.
Any idea how I can access it? When I go to accounts -> google and click on it, nothing happens.

Google settings has a separate app icon nowadays.
Hope so that it got hidden in any app groups. You need to check in the app groups.
If all the google apps will be inside any app group (Folder like thing). It might be inside that.

There's no icon for it, I checked everywhere.
On my other phones on Android 6 I must go to the Google account and the settings opens when you click on it. On this phone, nothing happens.
Did you install Google play services? The Google settings apps comes with it.

Yes of course. Everything works perfect and I know the Google settings app is there because it asked me something about device manager and I saw the Google settings. But there is no way for me to access it by myself.

Too lazy Anyway I found a workaround solution using the app QuickShortcutMaker. You can choose Google Play Services there and the created shortcut opens google settings.

Try with searching the settings by swiping downwards in home screen...
Let us know the result. So that we can get a clear idea on the thing.
Also thanks for mentioning the app name to do the workaround.

First thing I tried was the search, it couldn't find it. I spent literally an hour looking through the phone for a way to access the google settings. Using that app to create the shortcut was the only thing that worked.
Your probing for the solution and posting the solution for it will be useful for future people. Thank you...

Question Uber App Not Working

Hi. Is anyone struggling with the payment function on uber (eats)? It doesnt allow me to pay using my credit card and telling me to use a different payment method. I've deleted my cards, reinstalled app, etc. but to no avail....
Are you rooted? If so, make sure you add the Uber app to your Magisk deny list.

You have turned on Google Basic Service in device Settings? Uber requires GMS to work, which is why it won't work on Huawei devices that use HMS.

Weird but I can't find Google Basic Service anywhere in settings
Just open Settings. There is a search bar at the top. Type "Basic Google Services". Turn it on.

Don't just check each item to be denied (ie Google Play Services), push the toggle on for each subservice that appears under the item when you select it. Do the same for your banking and Uber apps.

Step 1: pull down on the top right hand of your screen to find Settings,
Step 2: in the search bar at the very top of Settings, type "Google Basic Services", and it will populate a list,
Step 3: choose "Google Basic Services" from the list,
Step 4: toggle on "Google Basic Services".
Nope mine didn't have this option?!
