[Q] Help about CM 11 or 12 for Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105 - Samsung Galaxy S II Plus

Hi,
I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105 (JB 4.2.2) with CWM and now i'm planning to install a ROM compatible with my phone which has Android version 4.4 or 5.0.
I stumbled upon the following articles here on XDA:
[ROM][4.4.2][UNOFFICIAL]Cyanogenmod 11 - Pg. 178 | Samsung Galaxy S II Plus | XDA Forums
[ROM][4.4.4][UNOFFICIAL][M12]Cyanogenmod 11.… | Samsung Galaxy S II Plus | XDA Forums
[ROM][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 12.0 [20150207… | Samsung Galaxy S II Plus | XDA Forums
Can somebody tell me:
How is it's interface? Is it Stock Android interface or some other?
The installation method on the pages mentioned above say "Optionally install the Google Apps Addon". What is this Google Apps Addon?
If I install CM, which version would you prefer? CM11 with Android 4.4.2? CM11 with Android 4.4.4? CM12 with Android 5.0.2?
If I don't get the Stock Android interface, how do I get it on the ROMs provided on the above mentioned links? (if I install one of them)
Can I get back to the Stock ROM through Odin?
Are there any risks?
Please give me any information about this because I am new to rooting.
Once I have enough information, I will install CM and I will reply the results here.

Hey ahmedbatty !
Basically CyanogenMod is built upon the source code of the open source release of Google’s Android,
which is also known as Android Open Source Project or AOSP. CyanogenMod provide users with better or extra features, which are not found in the original or stock versions of Android.
CyanogenMod comes with numerous built-in features which are not found in Google’s version of Android or in stock versions created by various mobile phone manufacturers and carriers.
Specially its clean from unnecessary bloatware you are stuck with in stock versions.
You can Customize everything in CyanogenMod as Per Your Choice......
[ROM][4.4.2][UNOFFICIAL]Cyanogenmod 11 is Based on Android Kitkat 4.4.2(Older Version).
[ROM][4.4.4][UNOFFICIAL]Cyanogenmod 11[M12] is Based on Android KITKAT 4.4.4 (Newer than Kitkat 4.4.2) based on Dalvik Run-time.
[ROM][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 12.0 is Based On Current Android OS Called Android Lollipop 5.0(based on ART Run-time).
[ROM][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 12.0 is Stable & best Android Lollipop ROM for Samsung Galaxy S-II Plus GT-I9105/I9105P.

There are hundreds of roms available. It differs from person to person which roms he/she likes.
I personally like CyanogenMod. Just look here and find a rom.
Almost all threads have a guide how to install the rom. If you don't like the rom you just simply install another one.
If you want to get started, install CWM Recovery as listed above.

Question about Roms, Android Versions, and my GT-N8013

Okay, I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8013. I have rooted the tablet successfully and installed Omnirom on it, except Omnirom cam with Android 4.4.4 when my device's stock version is Android 4.1.2. After downloading Omnirom I would like to switch to Paranoid Android so I can access the pie feature on my tablet instead of the omnibox.
However, being very new at this, could I use a Paranoid Android Tablet Rom based on Android 4.4.4 instead of the standard 4.1.2? I don't want to go back to 4.1.2, it wasn't fun. I would like to keep Android 4.4.4 and have the updated version of Paranoid Android for my Galaxy Note 10.1 Is this possible?

your question seems odd for some reason im not understanding i guess.
so, you flashed a 4.4.4 rom onto your device and you want to know if you can flash another 4.4.4 rom onto your device that is made for your device correct?
if that is accurate^^, then yes, you can just flash the new rom.
the only possible problem i could see is, if there is an official update to kitkat for your device? if no then there will be no issue.
if there is an official kk for your device, say so and i will elaborate on the possible issues.

[Q] WANT HELP REGARDING DEVICE ROOTING AND UPDATING TO ANDROID KITKAT 4.4.x

Hello! Dear Developers And Seniors on this forum I want you all to guide me in updating my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (GT-P3100)(Indian Version- 3G, GSM, WIFI, 16 Gb) to Android Kitkat 4.4.x.
I know there are several ROM's regarding the same on this forum. But I am little bit confused as to choose which ROM?
My Current Firmware:
Samsung's Official 4.4.2 Firmware & the device is NOT ROOTED.
My Requirements:
1 - I want a "Complete Bug Free" Kitkat 4.4.x ROM for my device.
2- I want that ROM which includes all official features of Kitkat 4.4.x and in which all features of Kitkat 4.4.x works flawless.
3- I want that ROM with which my device wont get SLOW or HANGS/FREEZES or SHUTS OFF.
4- I want that ROM which has a little bit Samsung type looks (Optional Requirement).
My MAJOR Confusion:
1- I visited the Official CyanogenMod Website and saw that there is CM 11 made for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P 3100. The latest version there is "NIGHTLY 27-11-2014".
Now, I am confused about what is included in this CM11 Nightly 27-11-2014 version and what are the bugs inside it (Is it Totally Bug free and fulfills my above mentioned requirements or not).
2- Whether I should go for Official CM 11 Nightly 27-11-2014 Version or the ROM's listed on XDA Forum such as OMNIROM, SLIMKAT, CRDROID, DHOLLMEN,CARBON ROM?
3- What is the difference between Official CM 11 Nightly ROM Vs. OMNIROM, SLIMKAT, CRDROID, DHOLLMEN,CARBON ROM?
I request you all to answer my post soon so that I could be able to run the best Kitkat 4.4.x ROM on my device just like you.:
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2580426
The difference between the different ROMs available can be features, kernel, etc.
What OS are you running on your computer? Before you can install the ROM. you will have to install a custom recovery. This thread should in the Q&A section, so I will ask a moderator to move it there.
Don't be offended, but I'm stunned. Not with your ignorance, but how you ignore this community rules. You demand answers for questions, that are all already given on those subforums. I suppose you didn't even read sticked threads. Don't make me wrong, we are all here to help each other.
There's no such thing as super stable, full featured, bugs-free rom. Noone will also have time to write a book about differences between them. You want some answers, just read. All I can do is to give you a few suggestions, look for:
1. P3100 CM11 M11 snapshot (AndroidAndi)
2. Newest GAPPS (ie. Full modular)
3. Eventually OC kernel (AGNi, Dhollmen or Blackhawk)
Before even thinking about any customs, you need to know about:
1. Rooting / custom recoveries (ie. TWRP)
2. Flashing methods (Odin / CWM)
I can't write about all of this in one thread, it's pointless, all is here, just search.
If you want to know about differences between rooms than just look for first post in each thread dedicated to them. But you should start with Cyanogenmod, you can call it a 'base' for many other distributions. (This is not quite true, but it's another story).

Galaxy tab 2 10.1 P5110 - Latest stable Android based OS?

Hi everybody,
I am now using a Galaxy tab 2 P5110, running under Android 4.1.2, not rooted.
My problem is that my Tab is really slow when I use basic apps (chrome, office apps).
In order to get a bit more power from it (removing the Samsung layout, but I know it's a 2012 tablet...) I am looking for the most stable ROM I could use, and if possible running under a quite recent android version.
I am quite new to this kind of manipulations, so I am also looking for a tutorial to instal the ROM you could advice me.
I know I have to root my tab before doing anything. Does the tutorial available here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1657056 - by Weltwon) work with 4.1.2 android version?
Thank you all for your answers!
Matthieu

Edit: I have an other question. Is the root enough to remove the Samsung touchwizz layer? If yes, how to do it?
Lineage OS 13.0
You could get a Lineage OS 13.0 nightly, and from my experience those are fairly stable.

For starters if you want to get rid of TouchWiz you can remove all of the bloatware and Samsung apps (like TouchWiz home, AccuWeather widget, Samsung Apps, Group play).
But I recommend just install custom ROM. Maybe cm11 or cm12.. I am using Dhollmen 4.4.4 on my tab for 1 years and it is working very well for me.
Thank you for your advices,
@tasnim_tamim: I dont know Dohllmen. Is it à cyanogenmod Android version? Which tab do you run under this ROM?
@orionboughton: are nightly versions if lineageOS stable? I have heard that these are update vert often, and some Android functionality can be disabled
Its a ROM based of SlimROM.. I am running it on my galaxy tab 2 7.0 p3100
Lineage OS 13.0
Lineage OS is basically an updated version of Cyanogenmod, so i guess that's what it's based off of.
I've been running a nightly of Lineage OS from their website at https://download.lineageos.org/espressowifi , and it's really smooth compared to touchwiz and the ram is managed much better. The camera works, the gyroscope works, and I've only had one or two problems (like root not being enabled out of the box, and needing to flash a supersu zip to get that running), and besides that it's all good. If you have a problem, rebooting usually fixes it and I've rarely had to do that in the past few weeks I've been running it.
Another plus is it runs android 6.0, which seems to be better in every way. Great standby time, 4h or more screen on time, etc.
However if you do decide to get it, make sure to flash with the latest version of twrp, and if not you might softbrick your device.
