I cant install a rom,and i cant restore the backup

I am trying to install the current backup that i had and everytime says md5 not match,also i was trying to install a htc12 rom and i cant,the rom is in the sd card0 and i wipe everything before install new rom.

Do you even have an Galaxy S3 ?

it is a friend of mine sgs3.

What is the actual name of the ROM? On your post it says htc12 and I am assuming that it isn't an Verizon Galaxy S3 rom.

my bad,the rom is MROM-7-20130330-olympus.zip

So basically you are flashing a Motorola Atrix ROM on a sgs3 phone. That is not a smart move unless you have a Motorola Atrix phone then you are in the wrong section.

there is an Mrom in the original development section.
are you trying to flash that?
you can only flash roms that are for the vzw s3.

im trying to flash this one.... my bad,the rom is MROM-7-20130330-olympus.zip,the guy told me it is for a sgs3.i told him that he have to register to this forum.

It won't work it is for the Motorola Atrix NOT the Verizon wireless version of the Galaxy S3. There is an MROM for this device the thread that DDurandsgs3 just mentioned.

ok,and why i cant restore the nandroid backup? there are a procedure that i could check the md5 after do a nandroid backup.and how i know the md5 on the factory backup.

I really dont know what happening with this phone,I downloaded a CM10.1 official nightlies for D2VZW GS3-RC2 .I did wipe everything before install the rom,,when the rom was done i rebote the phone and now have yellow triangle.

Did you unlock bootloader?

Hey, I need help to get my sgs3 from us cellular back to stock rom and 4.1.1 so i can unlock my phone. An was woundering if anybody know if the sgs 3 toolkit can reroot it back to stock rom an its on 4.3 firmware.

At first you need unlocked bootloader to run a port of sprint. If have unlocked bootloader try the port on Tmobile thread.

Not tested but worst case you can use debrick file methode to unbrick your device.

You should never suggest that another user flash a ROM from another model of the S3. period. Unless it's a dlte build.

I think its the same family. If I wasnt wrong.
I have captivate I can flash galaxys and vibrant roms, and I have straight talk I can flash s2 att and international roms.

yup. this is ridiculous!!! never flash a rom not made for your device and carrier. you will brick your phone. can't port the sprint version as we don't have the updated firmware, kernel, and other carrier specific files to port the rom over. do not, repeat do not flash a rom from any another carrier

Do one thing go to recovery mode. Pressing home+power+vol.down and wipe data.

I see. Still, I heard there are problems concerning the new FW about the tablet being unrooted if you flash KK on it and the samsung logo not appearing in the booting screen. Is there any way for the root to stay? I already know that there are a few bug issues in the software like the fast battery drain and I can handle that but the root though...I don't really want my device being bricked or whatever. I'm still a newbie about this so I wanted to find more information if possible before doing anything first.

I know it's official and everthing but that's not what I'm worried about. My tablet's already rooted with a custom rom and a blackhawk kernel in it. I read from the other posts that you'd be stuck in the booting screen if you flash the KK due to the logo missing and that you'll lose the root and will never be rooted again due to KK leaving a signature on the build or something. I'm not exactly sure what steps to take to prevent it though and I wanted to flash KK so bad. I just want to know if anyone knows how to flash KK in my already rooted tablet without encountering those two issues I just stated above.

You can always get root access again either by pre-rooting the firmware or by a custom recovery image in several different ways.

I don't think I can do the pre-rooting one. My computer doesn't run in Linux and I'm currently out of the country (and probably will be for months) to do anything about it.
Can you please tell me how to do it using custom recovery? You mentioned that there are different ways to do it?

3 Roms, Superlite, stock and Paul Pizz. You cannot and it's nearly impossible to downgrade. A jtag is the only option. Attempting to downgrade will brick your device

Honestly I wouldn't know. I have an unlocked bootloader. You'd have to ask someone else on that one. There are apps in the play store to check the IMEI. Unsure what you would even need the test mode for as they have disabled most of the testing on the S3 models

That means nothing much, only that knox/firmware knows that you flashed odin or another ROM.
Go into the stock recovery and post a picture of that.
If it DOES NOT SAY NE1, your bootloader can be unlocked AFAIK.
If it DOES SAY NE1, JTAG is your only hope to downgrade(and it isn't worth it on a device this old imo)
