See the attached screen shots and let me know if its a hardware or software issue. Its at the time of booting and after booting. The screen is scrolling continuously. But the touch is working.

You on stock? Did you root or anything? When did you start to get this?

It was due to display. Display was damaged. I did not get any reason so far. After seeing the vertical scrolling I flashed it with the stock ROM, after that as well, screen was like that. So went to service center. They changed the display and all working fine now.

Hello
I have a problem with my tf101 screen. It has been working well for a long time but once I turned it on the screen was quite strange. In the background I can see the content but there's a grey "blanket" on it . When the screen remains active this steam like thing starts to disappear first in the corner and then in the middle of the screen. After it the colors are a bit red but after 5 minutes it's ok. So it takes about 15 minutes to start using my tab. When I lock the screen it starts to go grey again :first in the corners and then in the other parts.
Did anyone face this problem before?
Any help would be appreciated.
Did you try a new ROM in case that one has corrupted somehow ?
Could be a dying screen though

That problem started when I had the stock ROM. The dying screen can be solved somehow?
Did you try a custom ROM too though?
If it is a screen problem, you'd need to buy and fit a new screen but Id try a new ROM first to rule firmware / software out

Yes I've tried a custom one too but it's all the same.
Faulty hardware then - only way would be to replace the screen / digitizer

Ok thanks for your help
Hi, does anyone have random screen flicker (white flash) in miliseconds when pressing home button and waking up the screen? For me its randomly appearing when I wake up the phone from sleep just before lockscreen fades in.
Yes, I have it on stock kernel, but did not notice it on Superkernel V1.1. Probably it'll be patched in the future.

I only have blue flashes instead of white. Have seen it in GS3 too. Think it's normal. Isn't it?

It occurs very rarely and was experiencing this from S3 to S6 and now in S7. It should be normal.

I too have the exact same issue. Yesterday I took it to service center & this guys just reflased the rom (Factory setting) & said there is no issue with the unit everything is working fine.
Today i saw the flicker again & recorded a short clip to show them but theg refused to accept it & said its normal.
I don't know what to do shud I live with it?
I just got that too. Its normal they say? Thats bs.
I had the same problem several times all of the occured while the lhone was charging
Any idea how to fix this? It is related to a hardware problem?
No ideeas ???
It is not a hardware problem, most probably a software issue. I see it when I unlock my device just after I lock it. Most probably animation can't keep up with the screen etc. I don't care.
Edit: when you have aod on you don't encounter with the same problem.
So its not a flickering screen hardware problem(more often in cold wather) like S5 has (with this problem becoming a green flickering)??
Has anobody been able to find a solution to this problem?
It's not happening on nougat anymore.
I think i have read somewhere that L Speed is causing this. If you have it, try to uninstall and see if there is any change.

Sounds like an issue with the sensor. Only way to test is to try another. Maybe it's meant for a another model?

S22 Ultra, 512gb, Snapdragon; have this strange display bug and can't figure out what's going on. Looks like two small cutouts in the top right corner of the screen. What the hell is going on here? Anybody seen this before?
Do they move or disappear when your in landscape mode?
Are they present on the boot menu screen?

If present on the boot menu it's likely a hardware failure. Samsung QC should have picked that off...
Send it back.

Screen is all black at boot, so can't say for sure. However once my white wallpaper pops on the lock screen it's right there. Really bummed. It's going back.

You talking recovery? Mine is all black.
Boot to download mode and see if it's there. If it is it's hardware.
try to reset android cut out app, seems its software issue
That's definitely a damaged display. You'll need to contact Samsung or whoever you purchased it through, to get a repair/replacement.
Hey Guys n' Gals!
Question, has anybody had their primary screen malfunction?
Now when I fold my phone either open or closed, the screen sometimes goes black. After 1-2sec the screen turns on again.
Sometimes the screen also flashes in a bright yellowish or green color when it is being folded.
Anyone have these symptoms? Any fix? or is it a hardware issue?
Thats is EXACT issue i had, i sent it in repair but they could not fix it... but instead put a diffrent firmware on it or something

Most likely a hardware problem. Could be a lose connection or something more serious. Did you drop your phone or something before this started?
Take it to warranty asap

You'll have to get it checked at a good service centre. Let's hope it is a minor issue.

There is no way a firmware would resolve a hardware issue (if it was that)
