It didn't worked ..
But we still have hope because Xperia E4 is going to launch soon....
Its another phone with mediatek chipset..
Hope they are going to provide bootloader unlocking for us mediatek users...
And further more...I think we would be able to flash Xperia E4's kitkat rom..

[Q] [XPERIA E] Install CWM with locked Bootloader

Hi all!
I have a rooted(using framaroot) XPERIA E(C1505) phone, with locked bootloader(bl unlock allowed:no). I've been searching on xda for 2 days, I found a lot of install guides for other types, but i cant find the solution for installing CWM to my phone.
So i'd like to ask is there any method to install CWM with locked bootloader, or it's impossible now?
And if it's impossible, can i install Custom ROM without CWM? How?
Thank you for replying

No sorry mate, your going to have to have an unlocked bootloader or wait for the developers to come out with CWM for locked bootloaders, hardly likely for our phone, Maybe in a year or so since the Xperia E came out this year!

No chance bro. The only thing you can do without cwm, is install some mods (themes, toggles etc), i mean all the stuff you can just copy in system/app.
If you want to install a custom rom you will need to unlock your bootloader and use a kernel with integrated cwm.

Then you didn't install cwm mate. You rooted your phone and unlocked your bootloader, right?
Are you using a custom kernel?
Please describe me the entire procedure you did with the links of the mods you used.

The question was raised because of the locked bootloader...
Does any know a suitable method for Xpheria E ,locked bootloader,to run Custom roms?
What are you guys talking about? Unlocking bootloaders, CWM in general or CWM for locked bootloaders in particular?
I think somebody said CWM for locked bootloader wasn't possible for the E cause there was no available exploit.

[Q] Xperia L - help in flashing/updating

Hi I would like to ask for your help on working with my Xperial L. It is free phone from my network plan so when I checked the unlock bootloader is set to NO. that is my problem at the moment. Is it still possible to root, and port a kernel/custom rom even if the bootloader cannot be unlocked? I hope you could give me the proper steps so I can arrive at the same set up as yours.
Here are the details of my unit at the moment:
Model - Xperial L C2105
Android version - 4.1.2
Build number - 15.0.A.2.17
Bootloader unlock: not allowed
I haven't started anything yet as I'm unsure which to steps to follow, hope if there's someone who had the same details can help me to root and port a kernel/rom.
Many Thanks in Advance!

Yes you can root & also install ROM too without unlocking (Which is risky). Kernel needs UBL so you can never have kernel for your device(AFAIK). Try to get it unlocked from your vendor or ask him for a replacement for your phone and get a Unlock able phone.

what are my options then and what are the risks if I don't unlock my bootloader? I don't think my vendor would change it so I'll just have to live with it.. can you provide me a tutorial please with these limitations..I would be very grateful if you could help me. thanks again.. :good:

Use the below link to root latest build it works (AFAIK).
And for roms CNT ROM has installation option for LBL.

[Q] Japanese (AU) version?

What roms will work with the Japanese version of the z3? Specifically for the carrier AU. When I go to model number under settings it says SOL26.

I live in Japan and have the same model. As you said its the Xperia Z3 for Japan and unfortunately it can't be unlocked and is therefore unrootable at present so there are no roms that can be loaded on it. The likelihood of finding some way to unlock it and root it are very very slim.

I think the first link you provided is the same way in Here

the 2nd link and the 1st one is total different.

Thanks for the encouragement. I was pretty sure the second link was an unlock key for a Docomo-brand SOL26 so was hesitant to use that key.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think we have the same model and carrier (AU-KDDI?) :highfive:
So, you're recommending that first link root method? If I'm hearing that guy correctly he's rooting without unlocking the bootloader which sounds good to me.
Apparently I can keep my DRM keys and everything else intact by rooting that way. I'm not really interested in trying out new roms or anything (did enough of that when
I still had my HTC Desire HD ) so it seems like the best way to go. I'd be more than grateful for any more advice you can give about rooting our model and again huge
thanks for all your help. If you're ever in Kyoto I'll buy you a beer!

Yes, I've got SOL26 too
Sure, you can root without unlock bootloader (I wonder how to unlock it because that's impossible with AU-KDDI or carrier model when unlock bootloader status allow = No)
Because you do not unlock bootloader, so no harm to your DRM key.
You must follow as the guide to root because you cannot root directly with AU-KDDI firmware.
By the way, I'm not in Kyoto but in Ho Chi Minh

Custom Roms That Don't Require Bootloader Unlock? (for Xperia L)

Hi Guys,
I'm new to this whole Android tech stuff, but recently I decided to try cyanogenmod on my Xperia L device. But the thing is that the Bootloader access is restricted by default, so I can't install it. Can you show me any Custom Roms that don't need the Bootloader to be unlocked? Or if there is a way to unlock the Bootloader, even if unlocking is not allowed on my phone?
Thank you in advance!
There is no way to install custom rom without unlocking bootloader.and yes our device(Xperia L) is unlockbale.

There are better phones out there than the C, and also a lack of people who are able/willing to create and maintain a rom.
Xperia C 2305 doesn't support unlocking the bootloader and so it's pointless to make a custom ROM for the device as it wouldn't work.
That's why only themed ROMs would work on your device for now.
Frankly, since Android update policy of the device has expired, and it wouldn't get any updates possibly so..... It would never be possible. Unlock the bootloader and so.... . That's just that....
