[Q] Considering buying, but a couple questions - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey I've done some research and this seems to be the best phone for me. But I have some questions first.
1. Is there any development for stock Android (that is, not AOSP or CM, but rather Google Experience Android like on Nexus devices with Google Apps instead of AOSP apps and Google Launcher and all that Nexusy Googley stuff instead) ROMs?
2. Would such a stock Android ROM let me use the hardware buttons instead of on-screen buttons?
3. Will someone invite me please? Or at least direct toward my best opportunity for receiving an invite?

1. There's only one aosp ROM and that's by OnePlus themselves, but don't bother because it's rubbish. They're releasing an updated Lollipop version on the 12th of this month, only time will tell if that's good or not. If you want Google apps though, just flash Google Apps on a CM based ROM.
2. All ROMs for this device allow you to choose between the hardware buttons or the on-screen buttons.
3. Asking for invites isn't allowed other than in the dedicated invite thread that you'll find as a sticky in our General section.

Ideas to get google now working?

I'm sure many of you have seen this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749045
I was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to get this working on a sense based rom?

Have you tried it out yet? I'm gonna give it a shot right now and see what kind of results I get.

Well! That was interesting, and certainly we have some hope for our Sense ROMs.
The installation process went flawlessly, and I was able to add the Google Search widget from JellyBean. And it works! Well, mostly. The Voice Search doesn't work. When you go into the app and hit the microphone icon, it beeps and immediately tells me "sorry, didn't catch that." I'm going to try and update my Voice Search app to the JellyBean one, although now I'm venturing off the beaten path.
I'm not really sure how the rest of Google Now is supposed to work, so I can't yet verify how much of this is working and how much isn't.
---------- Post added at 03:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:30 PM ----------
Alright, I've got Google Now working on CleanROM 4.0SE!
Voice Search is broken, and some other things, but that's the same story for other users, even on AOSP.
To get it working, go here and follow the instructions in the first post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28226043&postcount=1 (same link as OP)
Then, in the same thread, jump to page 15 and follow the instructions in the second post down, #142 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28234189&postcount=142)
Nice find!
EDIT: A more active thread is in the Development forum, for anyone who's stumbled upon this.
awesome work man, appreciate you trying it out and everything. I was at work and didn't really have time to mess around with it at the time

[Q] auto answer

Is it not possible to have the phone app have an auto answer feature? I know this was available in the past roms but appears to have gone away with jelly bean. Probably few people use it but when you are on a motorcycle it is invaluable.
Seconded

Figure out a way? Im looking for a solution too. Also for my motorbike
I don't think it needs to be built into the ROM... there are plenty of Apps. Could do it using Tasker as well.
What rom are u using?
That feature isn't part of the dialer, it should be under: settings / call settings / all calls / answer calls

Shoot, hold on a minute. New site is on a new server, so the dns change must not have taken effect quite yet for you.
Edit: we're good now. Sorry about that. new site is also more difficult for people to spam...I'm hoping. We'll see.

Yeah, this works properly, thanks.
EDIT: Whenever a link is clicked it redirects to www.codefirex.com, and it puts me on the "old" site, with all the spam. When I delete www from the beginning and it remains just codefirex.com, it loads up just fine with the new look and all.

Everything works lagfree, I am downloading Google Maps to try out now cause users have reported bugs with it in 4.2 builds around here, so I'm gonna test that too.
EDIT2:N̶o̶ ̶b̶u̶g̶s̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶G̶o̶o̶g̶l̶e̶ ̶M̶a̶p̶s̶ ̶e̶i̶t̶h̶e̶r̶.̶Perfectly smooth, although I'd change the launcher afterwards, but that's a personal preference.
EDIT3: Spoke too soon, the whole map twitches up and down when I'm moving on the map.It doesn't really matter for me as I don't use Google Maps but CoPilot, and that is working perfectly. It was reported on CM's bugtracker on how to fix it, but I just can't find the report on there now.Maybe tomorrow, it's already 4AM here. Thanks for yet another great ROM!

I'll look for it. Seems like it's device specific. Thanks for the report. I'll have our bugtracker email up shortly with a link in the OP. Doing it via an email system so there won't be a need to learn a new website to report bugs.

We have theme chooser support, so I don't see a reason to disable dex pre-optimization. Is there a reason we should that I've missed? We have our own build variant that we set dex preoptimization in which is "codefirex" that we set defaults in. Just like userdebug or debug.
Re: Google app FC, could you describe how you're flashing the device, and what gapps package you're using? Is this a clean or dirty flash?
Edit: Dex preopt is there for performance reasons. Google didn't add dex preopt to slow the system down or make it harder to mod ,

No O/C features at all?

thank you for explanation, as i said i was just curious
i had in mind that it is a bit faster but harder to mod this way, but that kind of doesnt matter if you build from source. actually, now that i think about it from what i know, it shouldnt be harder to mod on sense either. e bit more tedious maybe... but im sure you know what you are doing

I would imagine it has those features, as CFX almost always has. On the description page it says it gives the user the ability to change to a vanilla AOSP experience with one setting, most likely CFX settings toggle. I may be wrong, as I've not been able to flash it quite yet.

I had to remove that...we don't have that merged in *quite* yet. This is a total project reboot...we did this for a number of reasons (one of which is performance). We're merging in settings quickly, but it is very minimal for now.
Oh ok, thanks. I am curious though, did you ditch the OpenMaster project, or were issues device specific? I'd always wondered if it was just the Ace that had OpenMaster issues.

[Help] Looking for android app allowing multiple user profiles.

Greetings all.
I'm looking for an app that allows multiple user profiles, such as:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-parallel-space-multiple-accounts-t3308715
All the apps I am currently running (GO Multiple, Parrallel space, Appclone, etc) only have the ability to 'clone' 1 specific game (clash royale in this case) with 1 single google profile. I want an app that allows you to create multiple. While using multiple of such apps does the trick, so to speak. Appclone started to fail and no longer boots up the clash royale game.
If anyone can help me with this, appreciate it.
Using the S7 on Android Marshmallow. And I'm rooted.
Regards,
Skyrider

I discoverd the best way to find out exactly what codes are in a Phone. after I started entering codes , going into the menu and enabling other permissions, more apps started appearing on my phone which i assume were already there or were downloaded from a main server.
To find your codes in Your specific phone install MIXPLORER and add-ons, I still use the beta versions because i stored the apk's for when i needed them. They now charge for some of the add on's/
