I installed the newest nightly of the d802 cm12 ROM on my d800 using a d800 kernal. Everything works except brightness control and rotation. I would like to fix this if any one can help
You need a jelly bean (10D) modem/radio/baseband. You flash it in recovery just like you did for cm12. Look for it in the G2 Android Developement thread.

i downloaded the modem and it didnt work.

this is where i got it
Can he use kit Kat modded modem for d800 for use with ASOP ROMs?
Yeah he's supposed to use the modded aosp one.
On my D800, I installed CM12 20150228 Nightly for the D802 then installed the B14CKBIRD-Kernel-G2-LP_d800-02-09-bumped kernel. It's working with no issues. Brightness and Rotation works (except for Home screen which isn't supposed to rotate).
See this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2495753. It's a CM11 thread but read from the end toward the front for my posts.

If you're on TWRP you need to be on 2.6.3.3 or higher
FLASH THE ROM THEN FLASH THE SUPERUSER ZIP AFTER. THIS UPDATE WILL REMOVE YOUR RECOVERY.
CHECK OUT THIS THREAD TO GET RECOVERY BACK ON YOUR PHONE. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715496
It takes a long time to flash so be patient, if you get a LOKI error and it says 'FAILED' ignore it, wipe Dalvik and Cache after you flash, and reboot.

No custom recovery so no ROM flashes until someone finds a new exploit. Not certain about the downgrade to older firmware, I'm sure that you could though.
Any new features make it worth upgrading from a flex Rom?

Flash question
What if im not on stock rom but a custom rom. Can i flash this anyways?
Wait.. how are we supposed to flash Superuser.zip if our recovery has been replaced? And is this the TMO version? It hasnt even been released yet.

Few observations:
- You can now enable the transparent status bar setting in NOVA launcher!!
- Group Messaging is now featured
- Emoji's don't send as MMS anymore
- Weather animation on secure lockscreen
- You get Immersive mode now with apps that support it.
They disabled Google Wallet which sucks but I'm sure their will be a workaround eventually.

I think you cant revert to lower android versions right now because of changed partitions oder something like that... im not sure whats the problem! restore with cwm should help but it's a temporal fix

I pulled it down for the time being, have a few items that need to be added.
I ported CWM using CWM for GPE and CWM Touch for Motorola Edition images.
How to install:
Connect Moto G with GPE firmware to computer in bootloader mode, open CMD or Terminal (for Linux and Mac OS X), choose file location as current folder and paste this:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery CWM_GPE_touch_falcon.img
Bugs:
On Lollipop have some screen freezes, but touch and all features work fine.

I didn't flash other ROMs instead installed GPE, but it flashes other zips fine.
Maybe CM 12 must begin support GPE file system, if everyone have problems with it.
So does this work any better than TWRP ??

It works for both, as long as the recovery is built with f2fs support, /cache and /system still use ext4 on xt1032.
