[Q] Cyanogenmod 12 doesn't show any notifications - General Questions and Answers

I am running Cyanogenmod 12 on my nexus 4, latest nightly build.
Since I have updated to CM12 I dont recieve notifications like from whatsapp or hangouts. My phone vibrates but I always have to lookup all apps to find out in which one the notification appeared
Any ideas how to fix this? I havent found this issue elsewhere in the web.

[Q] CM7 - No sound from notifications

EDIT: Problem solved! New update was available, flashed it, everything working now!
Hi all,
I've Googled endlessly and haven't been able to find a solution to my problem. I've got a Rogers Infuse running CM7 from the dev thread. The issue is that I don't get any sound coming when I receive an SMS, or any other notification such as new e-mail on Gmail.
I do however have the ringtone working for the Phone and have the alarm working. The vibration for SMS also works.
What I'm wondering is how can I fix this so I can get the SMS notifications working?
I've tweaked with all settings, whether it's deleting all profiles, tweaking them, making sure night mode isn't on, going to the Cyanogenmod settings, etc. and none have helped.
If it was un official one, there was updated cm7 released with it fixed happened on my last cm7 before update.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
The issue here is that I'm flashed on the 27 October ROM (my first CM7 ROM).
Should I just reflash the ROM?

Dialer Crashing

I discovered, that if i try to open recent or missed calls in the stock dialer, it crashes, giving me only a message "Dialer was closed"...
pretty bothering.
Anyone who has the same problem? And or a solution?
Running CM 11 XNPH33R Android 4.4.4
I have the same issue on my device, latest updates installed (11.0-XNPH44S - 4.4.4)
My contacts list stays empty for about half the time... Dialing using the keypad or searching in the address book doesn't display anything...

[Q] WhisperPush to TextSecure not working

Hello all,
So, I've been wanting to try the WhisperPush secure messaging built-in in CM. I have a Galaxy S2 with TextSecure installed, and I've been promised that if I enable (register) WhisperPush on my OnePlus One, I can send secure messages between these 2 phones for free. I tried this on the latest 12.1 CM, but it didn't work, so I downgraded to CM 12, that didn't work either, so I downgraded all the way down to CM 11S.
Now, if I wanna send a message to the S2, it just sends a normal message (plain text, "Text message"). Is there something I'm doing wrong/missing ?
Any help is much appreciated.
Patrick.
Hasnt anyone encountered this kind of problem ?

[Completed] [Q] CM 12 SMS Issues

Hello guys,
Alright I am having an issue with my SMS. I currently have a Note 4 on Sprint. I can receive SMS messages, but cannot send them. I can send and receive MMS, and have no issues placing phone calls or using data. The only issue that I am running into is responding to SMS messages. I am currently running the most recent CM 12 nightly, but have tried reverting to older nightlies to see if the issue still persists. It does. Things that I have tried:
- Rebooting phone
- Reflashing nightly
- Data wipes
- Updating the ISMS
I've spent the last few hours looking at similar problems and the way that they have resolved them is by disabling Google Voice. Well, I don't have Google Voice on my phone and have no way of disabling this.
The kicker to all of this is when I wipe and reinstall my nightly, everything will work (send and receive SMS) until I shut off my phone or flash a new nightly (or until my phone dies). So I'm trying to figure out what is going on. If you have any ideas or have come across a reliable and recent solution let me know.
Thanks!

Delayed notifications while on WiFi (Lollipop)

Hi Everyone
I have recently updated from KitKat to Lollipop. I am running the latest version of Cataclysm (http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/orig-development/rom-cataclysm-nexus-5-t2518660) with the franco Kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/orig-development/kernel-franco-kernel-r53-t2508284).
I have found that while on WiFi the notifications I get for Gmail and Hangouts (and potentially other apps, I just use these two the most) are delayed, sometimes up to a few hours. This happens on more that one account. The second I go from WiFi to mobile data the notifications come through and any subsequent notifications are instant as expected.
I have done some searching and these issue seemed to pop up for some people on KitKat who said turning off WiFi optimization fixed this however Lollipop does not have this option.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this delay?
Thanks in advance,
Ross
