I have a mac as well, I couldn't bother waiting for a root method for the Mac os, so what I did was install parallel 9,which is a program that runs windows within Mac and voila an hour or so later (once I set up my note for the root) I managed to get root on my note and boy am I loving it, hope that helps mate

You know .... It's real easy to install windows 7 with bootcamp . I use it for all my android tweaking , and windows also has lot of cooler toys for video conversions and what not and windows games are awesome . Just give it few hundred GBytes and you are good to go . Think about it .
Parallels for mac running windows 8 works great I use it on my imac to root my note 2

Bootcamp dude. . I ONLY use Windows for android stuff.

I can't even connect note 3 with the mac. Finally I rooted it on Windows 7 in the parallels desktop 9. It just took 1 minute with the right program.

How can I install Java on A Microsoft surface Pro

... Same way you install it on any other Windows PC? That's all that the Surface Pro is, software-wise; an x64 PC running Windows 8 Pro or 8.1 Pro.
Eazy Way

I'm not sure what it is you're trying to run, but you can at least confirm whether or not Java installed correctly:
-open a command prompt (cmd.exe)
- type java -version <enter>
For example:
Code:
C:\>java -version
java version "1.7.0_67"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_67-b01)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.65-b04, mixed mode)
You should see something very similar if Java is installed correctly on your machine.

Well, your screenshot confirms Java is installed correctly. What exactly isn't running? If you're trying to run a jar file you would type something like this:
Code:
java -jar filename.jar
I don't do Andriod development, so I don't know what "it doesn't run trying to do Android development" means specifically. Perhaps you need to specify the path to the java environment in whatever application does the Andriod development. Or perhaps you have a version incompatibility. I've also seen cases where an application is specifically looking for 32bit or 64bit so you have to get the right one installed. Lastly, perhaps you need to uninstall and reinstall the Andriod development program after you've got Java installed correctly. You might want to test it with another java application just to be sure it's functioning properly.

How do I get this old PC game running on my nexus 7?

So i I have this old PC game iI want to play. I have a dualshock 3 controller I'll have attached to my android. Te game is called Assault cube, and can be found at assault.cubers.net. its far older than some quake ports I've seen.
The question iis simple. Is t way iI can get this to play on my nexus 7?
I've tried installing Linux deploy will Kali, but it gave me an opengl error. I'm willing to install anything from a VM to a new boot loader. I'll do anything if you'll just guide me.
Thanks.
Is that a linux or windows game

As you can see in the download section of the link I provided, it has both a windows and Linux version.
