Hello everyone , i know my question is quite noob but Sir i want to know is it possible to port kernel?
I have Lenovo A680 [4.2.2] , MT6582.
It stucks on Jellybean 4.2.2 so i plan to make Kitkat kernel so that i port 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 ROMs to my device.
But i don't know how to make this means i want to know is it possible to make Kk kernel unofficially?
Anyone please give me a proper guidance will be helpful for me.
Thanks...

Hi!
I have a big problem because my phone don't boot normaly. Compatible's ROM unavailable on the net because it's a noname phone.
I have some files : ebi.bin and load.cmm by using QPST. I see that when i open load.cmm: "Build ID: 76XXT-6030-TSNCJOLYM".
So is it possible to do a ROM with this file "ebi.bin" or to repair this phone?
Hi,
Since there isn't any forum for your device, you need to ask this in the Android Q and A section over here:
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
However, since your device is a recognized one here at XDA, finding a custom rom for it will be next to impossible.
Good Luck!

Hey guys,
So I am thinking of porting a custom rom for my MT6572 device which I am sure you have never heard of: QMobile A170. I already have it rooted using Farmaroot 1.9.3 (thankgod for generic tools) and seeing as there are no roms for this specific model out there, was thinking of porting one myself. So here are my queries.
1. Which ROM do you suggest I port (in terms of features, ui, stability and chance of success etc)? Where can I find an android 4.4+ rom? I only found one but it has an annoying dev picture everywhere: droidbuzzz.blogspot(dot)com/2014/10/mt6572-custom-rom-pure-l-custom-rom-for(dot)html
2. Which porting guide do i follow for MT6572 porting? there are alot of guides out there, and more alarmingly, with different steps and procedures.
I had this in mind: en.miui(dot)com/thread-32469-1-1(dot)html
3. Should I use a porting tool or something?
4 Any tips, wise words etc?
