Hello everyone. I uprooted my z3 without unlocking the bootloader . Now I can't install busybox . This is the fault of the application : It looks like the installation of busybox was not successful . try installing to a different location , That may resolve the issue ... I also tried to change the directory but nothing
I tried to find solutions on the web but without success . Some good soul know how I can fix ? Thanks to all

If you root with giefroot it should install busybox in the correct place for you.

Why is that the problem?
Giefroot installs busybox at the same time as rooting.
If giefroot works you have busybox installed in system/xbin.
Check that it is not already installed
Also check you have RW on system
No look I do not have busybox in any other folder
But I have the root . But I'm not allowed r / w and the root explorer will not release it . I do not know what to do

Ok, install [NUT]'s dual recovery, that should also install busy box correctly

You google it like I said
http://bit.ly/1zUh13v
Download it for the Z3, the installer, attach phone to PC and run install.bat, just like you did for griefroot
But I have this procedure done after I flashed the FW .93 (I think ) then I did the root and flashed the FW .77
Nut dual recovery also works with the .77 ? Once installed what am I doing ? I just run the file and install busybox ?

If you have installed dual recovery then you have installed busybox
The installation of dual recovery also install busy box.
If you have issues start again
1) flash .93 FW
2) root with giefroot
3) Install dual recovery
4) Flash a prerooted .77 firmware created with PRFCreator that includes dualrecovery and supersu (Make sure you include the flashable.zip version of dual recovery and not the installer.zip version)
Done
Even when I have a .93 and I've already done giefroot not work anyway. I do not know how to solve more ....

Once you have rooted then install dual recovery
I never installed busybox separately, it is automatically installed when you install dual recovery

Hi guys I'll share tutorial how to Root Your Xperia M2 Single & Dual
I just n00bs here, need to share my knowledge
4.3 JELLY BEAN
LOCKED BOOTLOADER
Using Towel Root (Download) download & click Root, Your device will rebooted. After that download SuperSU in Play Store.
UNLOCK BOOTLOADER
Just Download The Recovery For Your Device (Single or Dual) and Download SuperSU.zip and flash the zip You get rooted fast!!
4.4 KITKAT
LOCKED BOOTLOADER
1. Downgrade to JB, Root your Phone using Towel Root in Jelly Bean
2. Update via OTA to KK 4.4.2 or KK 4.4.4 whatever you need (4.4.4 is recommended)
3. In this process, don't try to install or uninstall anything
4. Wait for booting finish
5. Install latest SuperSU from Play Store
6. Open Flashtool in PC
7. Connect your phone to PC
8. Now flashtool will describe your phone information, then click Root Tab in top, after that choose force root by TowelRoot
UNLOCK BOOTLOADER
1. Flash FTF 4.4 Kitkat
2. Flash CWM Kernel (Whatever it's for 4.3 or 4.4) You must get booted to CWM only
3. Download & Flash SuperSU.zip
4. Power Off & Flash Kernel 4.4 From FTF
5. You can find how to fix mount system here
If you have notifications from SuperSU that notice binary needs update, just choose in Normal mode, don't try in CWM/TWRP mode!
Hit Thanks if I helped You :victory:

Looks like the kernel for the M2 KitKat update has this fixed. Too bad; might stay on 4.3 Jelly Bean for a while. I just can't give up root access and Xposed Framework.

Downgrade Your M2 to 4.3 JB, do root method like Root For 4.3 JB. Flash FTF Kitkat with exclude Kernel.sin & Loader.sin. Very Important!! Don't do Wipe Cache & Data!! Then reboot to homescreen you will get Root!! You can find how to fix mount system here

Which part of this makes it impossible to use it on a locked bootloader? Also, I don't seem to be able to untick flashing of loader.sin in flashtool. Did you mean remove it from .ftf?
Hello,
Does the author of this method root KK, may explain how he was able to make a flash FTF KK (18.3.C.0.37) without kernel.sin and loader.sin ????
Me after this operation the phone at all is not "wake"
Please write exactly step by step how this done.
A loader.sin and kernel.sin I was able to remove the FTF using rar
Because I do not see the possibility of removing loader.sin by flashtool.
Also, this method presented here, unfortunately, did not work.
Back to JB.
In spite of everything thank you to the author's guide to root for the KK .
Regards.

This is what I'm getting as well. I thought it was because of the bootloader, but yours is unlocked so... The instructions for KK are clearly unclear (no pun intended)

AFAIK, I don't think there is cwm for KK...
also, does this allow us to mount R/W?
so is your root for unlocked bootloaders only ,or for all ,and have you tested it .alinolaw71

For those who want root and custom recovery on 4.4.2 here is my way without root binary errors or recovery issues....
1. Downloaded 4.4.2 for Canada from Sammobile and flash via odin
2. Install this Recovery https://mega.co.nz/#!kEUzAS5a!a6TA0xuSg-pEYxSmZxnjmcB7cNOwRCZ_MqMiwXvD65c via odin Credits to Angel_666
3. Install this SuperSU http://download.chainfire.eu/452/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip?retrieve_file=1 via TWRP Recovery
4. Reboot and enjoy
Thats how i did and have now fully working 4.4.2 with custom recovery and root access ...

following this guilde you need custom recovery to root so you can't use root app's without root
Can any one say whether the Canadian 4.4.2 has multi user enabled, if not has any one tried to apply the multi user hack.
Newbie question. If I wanted to temporarily disable the root so that apps which may have an issue with rooted device can continue to work how would this be done. I saw in one forum where someone said they were only able to do this with the 4.2.2 ROM.
Legendsmoker -
I just got prompted when starting KIES for the KitKat update. I have the US version of the Tab 3 10.1 (5210). I assume I can use your root steps to root the US KitKat firmware?
Here's what KIES says:
Current firmware version : PDA:NB2 / CSC:NB2 (XAR)
Latest firmware version : PDA:NH2 / CSC:NH2 (XAR)
Thanks

Fix?
I recently did the Samsung update to Android 4.4.2. I've tried multiple times to root my device, but each time, the SuperSu has not functioned properly. The first time it would not update correctly, so I tried a different .zip and the SuperSu in that one would freeze every time I would try to use it. Will this fix the problems I am having?

Any app that accesses the system (busybox, exposed ect.) Must be flashed via recovery. This method works fine on my device. Although each time the recovery must be flashed and once the appropriate apps are flashed, must be the stock kernel flashed via flash tool again, but this is at the moment the only way to get a system with the appropriate apps and root privileges!
sorry for the bad english

1. Did you root your D2303 running Android 4.4.2? How?
