Hi guys I'll share tutorial how to Root Your Xperia M2 Single & Dual
I just n00bs here, need to share my knowledge
4.3 JELLY BEAN
LOCKED BOOTLOADER
Using Towel Root (Download) download & click Root, Your device will rebooted. After that download SuperSU in Play Store.
UNLOCK BOOTLOADER
Just Download The Recovery For Your Device (Single or Dual) and Download SuperSU.zip and flash the zip You get rooted fast!!
4.4 KITKAT
LOCKED BOOTLOADER
1. Downgrade to JB, Root your Phone using Towel Root in Jelly Bean
2. Update via OTA to KK 4.4.2 or KK 4.4.4 whatever you need (4.4.4 is recommended)
3. In this process, don't try to install or uninstall anything
4. Wait for booting finish
5. Install latest SuperSU from Play Store
6. Open Flashtool in PC
7. Connect your phone to PC
8. Now flashtool will describe your phone information, then click Root Tab in top, after that choose force root by TowelRoot
UNLOCK BOOTLOADER
1. Flash FTF 4.4 Kitkat
2. Flash CWM Kernel (Whatever it's for 4.3 or 4.4) You must get booted to CWM only
3. Download & Flash SuperSU.zip
4. Power Off & Flash Kernel 4.4 From FTF
5. You can find how to fix mount system here
If you have notifications from SuperSU that notice binary needs update, just choose in Normal mode, don't try in CWM/TWRP mode!

Looks like the kernel for the M2 KitKat update has this fixed. Too bad; might stay on 4.3 Jelly Bean for a while. I just can't give up root access and Xposed Framework.

Which part of this makes it impossible to use it on a locked bootloader? Also, I don't seem to be able to untick flashing of loader.sin in flashtool. Did you mean remove it from .ftf?

Does the author of this method root KK, may explain how he was able to make a flash FTF KK (18.3.C.0.37) without kernel.sin and loader.sin ????
Me after this operation the phone at all is not "wake"
Please write exactly step by step how this done.
A loader.sin and kernel.sin I was able to remove the FTF using rar
Because I do not see the possibility of removing loader.sin by flashtool.

AFAIK, I don't think there is cwm for KK...
also, does this allow us to mount R/W?

so is your root for unlocked bootloaders only ,or for all ,and have you tested it .alinolaw71

You've got a few things wrong. So first, in order to be able to install any Cyanogenmod 12 roms (or any other lollipop roms) you have to update to stock lollipop first. Here is the Argentina lollipop 5.0.2 Odin file for your tablet: Wi-Fi SM-T530 XXU1BOH5 ARO Region (Argentina)
Second, the version of cyanogenmod you have is out of date and no longer developed or supported. I would strongly urge you to choose this version of CM12 instead: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/development/rom-blisspop-3-1-t3084757
Finally as far as Gapps (yes you need gapps), I would recommend TK Gapps, it's regularly updated and you have control over just how many google apps you want installed (I use the nano version, but any version should work fine).

Why I can not use Kitkat android to use CM12? What is the problems? I think that lolipop 5.0.2 use a lot batery, if I install lolipop stock and after that the rom the problem will be same?

Bootloader. If you don't know what that is, don't even bother asking why
You won't be using stock. You just need to install the stock 5.0.2 file before you'll be able to successfully flash any lollipop ROM. Trust me, I've been there before
Don't worry about the battery. The stock rom doesn't have any affect on your battery after you install the custom rom

You can to install successfully only CM12 not CM12.1 on your KK bootloader .
If you want you can to try this 5.0 CM build

Trust me serafyn. repey6 is giving you the quick, temporary stop-gap fix. I'm giving you the correct, permanent fix

There are no big difference between CM12 and CM12.1 . CM is CM .

Yes, exactly, but it's the same easy process. It's worth doing now so you can install any lollipop ROM you want and not have to worry about the bootloader issue
Edit: I just remembered, the ota might not be able to install correctly since you're already rooted. If that's the case, use Odin and that firmware file I linked to earlier in order to update to stock lollipop

After that cam you help to install recovery and root? I was reading about it but , I cant see nothing clear.

It's pretty straightforward, you just have to use Odin to install the recovery, then boot into the recovery and use that to install the supersu zip. The post I just linked to goes into more detail, obviously

It is done, I installed the ROM and NanoPack gapps. But I have a problens whith the camera. The app open but the screen stay black. Some advice for me¿?

So just to clarify, I have a 6045I factory global unlocked from Amazon, It has never been rooted, bootloader unlocked, nothing. So would I place on SD and apply update through stock recovery, or is there a different method? Really just want root for adaway and xposed. TWRP would be nice, but not necessary. Just don't want a new paperweight. Thanks!

First u have to unlock bootloader then to flash recovery and supersu .
For me it is not recognising my phone hope u will get success.

For me it got downloaded but showing device either offline or unauthorized

I'd run a full virus /malware scan.... I use 360 Security on mobile devices and PC's. It, along with SUPERAntiSpyware has served me well.

Well the obvious choices are:
1) Use mobile Q to restore to 5.0.2...unlock bootloader, install twrp....upgrade to marshmallow using the modified update.zip that doesn't wipe recovery and finally root using the file mentioned.
or
2) Live with it as it is until someone figures out how to restore fastboot which will probably still require downgrading.

I am waiting some days otherwise i will downgrade
BTW my device is recognized in fastboot but commands not working. It means fastboot is working but commands have been changed

That's the problem. This phone is totally stock with nothing done but the update. I literally charged it, turned it on and 20 minutes later 6.0.1 was nagging for install, which I did. There is now the OEM unlock switch in developing options, but I don't know where to start, or flash.

You must go back to 5.0 to install and then update it because in 6.0.1 update Removes Fastboot commands so you can't install it twrp....

I have a problem with rooting 6039Y on rom 6.0.1 by persona78. Stock rom 5.0.2 and root working fine. When i flash via TWRP after the update to MM i get this message:
-Cheking patch status
---Already patched, attempting to find stock backup
---Stock restore failed, attempting ramdisk restore
---Ramdisk restore failed, aborting
This solution - echo SYSTEMLESS=true >> /data/.supersu - not working.
Phone was simlock removed via furiousgold, maybe this is a problem?

if you downgrade zperia x5 and flash pre rooted android 5.1.1 then it is possible
however pre rooted version were created by using prf creators which couldn't support android 6.x.x and later.
p/s I never tried pre rooted xperia stockrom
also if you don't want to use prerooted stockrom of android 5.1.
simply try rooting it with kingroot.
till android 5.1, kingroot were able to find xploit in the system

And you can't install the recovery until your phone is rooted or unlocked bootloader.
So you can't root without unlocking the bootloader.
So do you mean that first i need to root my device with an old software , then update to pre rooted software via recovery?
If yes , then please let me know how to root old software and which version.

again now we have go back in times where xploits were available, during kitkat days everyone had rooted phones since android was not using dmvarity. you could root kitkat easily on locked bootloader and have XDR installed while running andoir 4.4.4 ( i did with my C6602) once you had XDR install (xperia dual recovery) you can reboot your mobile into recovery and can flash pre rooted LP.
now this is GOOD for old days and for information
for you xperia z5 never actually landed on kitkat and LP can be rooted via kingroot. so you will be only able to use rooted z5 on LP only~!
if you wana install prerooted rom without kingroot you will have to first root running LP via kingroot, install xdr and flash again LP (clean flashing)
so on looked bootloader you dn't have much options!

[Updatable][MOD][ROOT][SM-T585/580 stock][6.0-8.1]with TWRP for Odin][2x1]

Hey. I did and successfully tested the mod of stock firmware 6.0 T585XXU2AQA2 SEK region (Ukraine, although it does not matter).
The bottom line is that, you install via Odin the firmware itself and the custom recovery - TWRP , that is, two in one . And after successfully installation firmware via Odin automatically opens immediately TWRP, where I recommend immediately to install SuperSU or latest magisk and then fix or attach below . In result we have a stock firmware with TWRP and root.
Notice. Do factory reset before flashing.
P.S. I tried this mod over current 6.0 rom with installed TWRP. I think if try this mod without installed TWRP you need checked internal memory. If you have 0mb you need to do Format data before flashing supersu and fix.

Latest builds no need fix only magisk!

Hello, I have a simple question. I am getting the SM-T585 soon and found your thread while searching for TWRP for that tablet. I like the idea of having stock with the custom recovery. I have currently the Tab 9.7 with uses a single file for firmware. The question I have is where in odin do I put the HOME file? or can that one be skipped? Thanks in advance for any responses that answer this. Peace

CSC HOME saved your data . CSC OXE format your data . Do your choice.
Next 3 files to appropriate tabs : BL to BL , AP to AP , CP to CP .

I have a tablet SM-T585
I have used your "Simplest method to get ROOT & TWRP"(https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-a/how-to/root-t3674409) to get root with SuperSU : it works perfectly.
I have used ODIN to flash TWRP : no problem.
After some modifications on the Settings,I made a BackUP.
Now my question : is it possible to install this Backup via ODIN ?

No , only you can restore your backup via TWRP.

Yes. Need to do wipe data&cache or use CSC OXE not Home.

So the 6.0 is included with your file??

Mod have full stock archive . Only AP tar.md5 changed

UPDATE. I made another mod based on the firmware T585XXU2BRB2 with cut userdata and without CSC. TWRP latest 3.2.1-0 from @followmsi. CSC can not be added to Odin, it remains the same.
