GMD Gesture Control - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone got this working on the Z3?
I've tried manually switching the parser to both default options, but nothing no gestures are even recognised.
I noticed on the play store that it has been updated with 4.3 support and I'm running 4.4.4 however I also run it on my HTC One on 4.4.4 and it works great.
Any suggestions?

Lollipop update...
Has anyone got this app working again? It appears that I can't set up the device settings manually?

[Q]

Hi,
I new to the whole rooting scene so please bear with me.
I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my phone (using twrp and SuperSU) and installed LMT Launcher v2.0 RC5.
Setting it up was easy, however when I use it to launch an app nothing happens.
Well, only the wifi and bluetooth toggle actions actually work.
But setting a Pie Item to trigger an arbitrary app - this does not work (by work, I mean nothing happens when you select that pie item)
any help appreciated.
thanks,
KS

[Q] Lollipop (LRX210) - Cannot Install .apk from Storage. Any ideas?

***SOLVED***
I was using Lux Auto Brightness (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vito.lux&hl=en). This thread pointed me in the right direction (http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...nt-click-install-when-installing-sd-card.html) and I uninstalled the app and I could install apps from storage again.
***SOLVED***
I have encountered a problem with Lollipop - I cannot install backed up apps from storage. The install button is simply inactive.
So, I reinstalled 5.0 factory image and it seemed to fix the problem. BUT, now it doesn't work again.
Anybody got any ideas about what is going on here?
Thanks in advance:good:
Edit: could it have something to do with a locked bootloader? Didn't have that problem with kitkat
Wow, must just be me then...
Back to the drawing board...
Wow, same thing is happening to me too. Can't believe it's due to a brightness app, doesn't seem to be much of a link between the two.

Thx!
Works with alternative screen filter enabled from advanced settings
Developer of Lux here. This is fixed in the update rolling out today.
Thank you
That trick worked - I emailed the Lux developer and there should be an update coming out today!
* update
If you simply force Lux to close, then you can install apps and then just open the app again.

Cannot Update Stock (Samsung) Email

Hello all,
Since the last firmware update (G930FXXS1DQHN) of my S7 G930F I have issues with seeing the folder content of several maps in my stock (Samsung) email client v4.0.87.0. Apparently, I am not the only one and have it with several (exchange) accounts. Before the latest firmware upgrade all worked fine.
The provided stock email in the firmware seems to be pretty old. Many newer releases of Samsung Email are available, but unfortunately, I cannot install neither of them (package conflict with already exsisting package error), hoping an upgrade of the stock client solves my issues.
Is there a way out to upgrade the stock Samsung email client on a non rooted S7? Thanks in advance for replies.
For info: my T813 tablet running stock email v4.0.70.0 does NOT have this issue of not displaying folder content of some email folders.

Thanks for reply, but I had already Secure Startup Enabled and multiple reboots....but do not see the relation with respect to options to install APK updates of stock apps. One only adds a password to eneable starting up the system. Or am I stupid ?
Any more detailed info availble how to tackle this one?

It is the known fix for the "Package name conflict" error when trying to update stock apps, works without fail for everyone up until now
Either disabling or enabling secure startup and then rebooting allows the install, doesn't seem to care which one you do as long as it is the opposite of whatever you had set when it wasn't working
Try Disabling Secure Startup > Boot to recovery > Clear cache partition > Reboot > Install APK
If that fails, enable Secure startup again and reboot once more, try installing apks
Keep in mind, if you reboot without toggling secure startup, apps will fail to install again on next boot, they only install after you toggle that setting and then reboot, rebooting normally will break it again
Well, now it is clear and it worked. Updated to version 4.2 now . Thanks for the good tip!!! It will make my colleagues happy as well.
:good:
Funny to see that this trick does NOT work on my Tab S2 T813, unfortunately.

Yes, and also running on Nougat. Tried multiple times and switched between Disabling / Enable Secure Startup and immediate reboot, then install apk.

Rooted devices have no secure startup option
Not sure how you would install the updates apps without it, unless you know how to replace the stock ones manually using a root file explorer

No navigation gestures after updating to GEN_EU_EEA_A2020G_Pro_V2.3

Hi,
I just updated to the last version GEN_EU_EEA_A2020G_Pro_V2.3 , but strangely , now in Android 10 when I go to the settings it doesn't allow me to change from the classic navigation bar to gestures navigation, I see the option but I can't select it. Does anybody have the same problem ?

Are you using stock launcher? If not change back to stock and see if option becomes available.

Did that after I read that it might be the problem but even after a reboot I can't select the gestures option
Hello
I had similar issue. This command should resolve it Now, with Nova Launcher gestures works fine as in Android 9
adb shell cmd overlay enable com.android.internal.systemui.navbar.gestural

Sorry to ask, but how do I install this command? I suppose it can't be done directly via the phone, I need to use an application on my Mac no?

True, if we reboot the device, we need to apply again the command
This is some bull****. ZTE needs to fix this now. Google fixed this Android 10 gesture navigation problem with 3rd party launchers back with the December update. ZTE apparently pushed an old build of Android 10 prior to the gesture navigation fix. Unacceptable!

[APP] OmniJaws Weather FIXED V 1.1

Omni Jaws weather app
fixed no weather data error
Note:
This app is one of the system app of Aosp, RR, Omni Os, dotOs and etc. ROMs, it may not work on all versions of Android.
If you encounter an error during installation, you must uninstall the previous version
and sorry for my bad English
Hamid from Iran
edit : files removed and u can download new updates from here
Thanks
I've been trying to update omnijaws. It doesn't update, so I've been trying to uninstall it, without success - with warden, titanium, system app remover and link2sd. All them fail to uninstall. So now I can't update it, not even have access to the one installed on my phone.
Someone can give me some help with this?

1-download the attached apk file
2-install it.
If it does not install, you will need to uninstall the previous version and try again.
(This operation requires root access)
I'm in a rom that doesn't have omnijaws, and have installed your app. All working good. Thank you
There's some way that put it to show on lockscreen?
And there's a way to install other icon pack? I've tried downloading one, but it doesn't show on the app.

Yes from this way settings > extensions > lockscreen > lockscreen ui , you can enable it. And for icon pack you can search the Chronus icon and install it.
With Android 10 (crDroid 6.10) it doesn't work, the default launcher crashes. After a long search I've found the OmniJaws app 1.09 from here. It has a lot of weather providers and runs fine. The default OmniJaws app 1.0 has stopped to work since yesterday. You can easily update without uninstalling the standard app.
In order to prevent launcher crash don't use @Hamidltf 's APKs in the 1st message! Finally, @Nobby1960 's solution saved my phone from launcher-crash after the installation. imho, the first message should be edited with the latest OmniJaws APK: https://github.com/vladrevers/OmniJaws/releases

Hi, running crDroid 11 on Pixel 5 and the linked OmniJAWS is not installing for me. I first tried installing 1.09 on top of 1.0 then uninstalled 1.0 and installed 1.09 but it's refusing to install. Any tips? Thanks!
It is not retrieving location and the last update time stays disabled any fix already tried clearing cache and storage still no luck!?
