[Q] Craig Smart TV stick Uberoid Rom with Kodi needed!!! - Android Stick & Console Computers General

Hello,
A bunch of us recently purchased the Icraig Craig TV Stick CVD602 on Meh.com. These things are virtually useless out of the box. There was a great Rom flash to Uberoid with Google Play posted on this site which does make this stick somewhat useable. If someone can modify this Rom to install a fully functioning Kodi, there will be about 2,000 happy people who purchased these. This is the place to come for help, and I hope someone will. The ROM will need to be idiot proof like the Uberoid ROM install for people like me. With KODI installed and working, this stick will be great.
Thanks you on the behalf of the 2,000 of us who purchased these.

Pandigital e-reader

So I just found out I'm getting a free e-reader and according to the pandigital website, this puppy is running android
Just wondering if any of you devs have played with one of these & have gotten it to root & run stock android. I'd much rather slap a 32gb card in there & use it as a tablet than an e-reader
www<dot>pandigital.net/search.asp?productid=392
I have the 9" reader android 2.0 rooted like a breeze.. Just some basic stuff there.. The adb is fully supported I use Linux and can help if you want the magic for the USB port..
Other than that I have not been very busy yet with it..
Did you just root w/unrevoked? I want to install 2.2 for flash videos & hulu.
Does it work on the Pandigital 7" tablet?
I've just aquired the 9" version as well. Currently running eclair 2.0. It does have the SLIDE ME marketplace, but I'd rather have access to the real droid marketplace.
I imagine, since 1saleaday just had a special on these refurbished units ($99) that there will be lots of requests for modding them.
I'm no programming expert, but am really good at following directions, so be gentle. <snort> I know enough to ask questions when I'm stuck.

Going to buy a tablet within the next week or so... Grid10?

And I'm honestly thinking about getting the Grid10. The Grid10 + case + USB cable is still $20 less than the Transformer (without a case, or the dock), which was the other tablet I'm considering.
Is there any reason I shouldn't get the Grid10? Better price point for similar specs. It can sideload Android APKs, and it uses the Amazon App Store, and the OS is something that really seems to flow nicely in all the hands on videos I've seen.
Since it's based on the Android kernel, it won't be another Playbook or Touchpad, since all Android apps theoretically work on the Grid10. The only thing I'm worried about is all the negative comments I've been reading about Fusion Garage and their previous tablet. I already know I'd enjoy an Android tablet.
I am currently the owner of an original Galaxy Tab, so really, anything is an upgrade at this point (Not having a tablet OS on a tablet is really awful)
This will be my next tablet, I have been watching the Grid10 for a while now. It looks smooth and responsive to the touch. I currently own the touchpad and an Android tablet. I am planning on getting the 3g version. Fast enough for me.
On the @FusionGarage twitter, I asked a few qustions that I've been unable to find answers to:
"@FusionGarage Quick question, is the usb cable a must? Can you sync/transfer files via wifi? "
Reply: "@steckums We are currently working on an application that will sync your content via WiFi, but right now you need the USB cable. "
"@FusionGarage Good to hear. One more: how compatible is it with Android APKs? Is it essentially able to sideload any (honeycomb!?) app?"
Reply: "@steckums Yes, you can sideload any Android app, including Honeycomb apps."
Off Topic
does anyone here have modded rom for this china tablet
APAD2 with call function
i am planning to buy by the end of the month and i want it flashed with better firmware.
please someone help me
So I have heard that GridOS is based on android 2.3. If that is the case how are they running any honeycomb apps? My guess is that older versions of GridOS (pre-production) were based on 2.3 and the production version is based on honeycomb. What are other people's thoughts on this?
I bought the wifi only version - it should arrive tomorrow. I've just read a less than stunning review from Engadget though, so now I'm leery...

Telos AW80 - Rom

Hi all; I know that Tronsmart has stopped supporting this box. I know that there are a lot of them out there. I am wondering if anyone has seen or know of a 5.1.1 rom that has been done for this box. It would be a shame to let this kind of hardware go undeveloped. I have been to the freaktab site and currently using the updated rom there. Just wondering if anyone on this site has looked at or is thinking of developing a rom here. Has anyone looked at a straight openelec rom for this box? Tronsmart are not the greatest supporters of there boxes. I came to this site to ask the question because I have an asus tf700 which has great support for custom roms. Again just wondering if anyone in asia or Russia has thought of developing a straight forward openelec rom for this box.

[Completed] Looking for a custom ROM for this nurvo

Hi all
Thanks firstly I've found this site excellent for rooting and flashing my samsung tab2/nexus7 etc 5*
But now I'm stuck and I have a challenge
I have a 10 inch nurvo tablet that is rooted (SuperSU etc)
But I cannot find a custom ROM that will make this thing any good!
Specs::
Model number:nurvo10dcb
Android version:4.2.2
Firmware:2.1_20140213
Kernal:3.4.39+
Build:a20_k1001_k1001L1c_1402051.20140305
I'm trying to get some use from this tab other than a slow inaccurate TV remote(YouTube via Chromecast etc)
Its so bad!(touch drivers are very slow
I really want something more refined like slimkat or just something that works rather than whatever this was designed for (picture frame maybe
Huge thanks and sorry if I've put this in the wrong place.
It would be nice to have the same flexibility my Samsung tab2 with 6.1 and nexus with slimkat

Hello and welcome to xda-assist,
as this is an unpopular device, especially compared with the Samsung tab2, you won't nowhere get equal or only nearly the support of a popular device, that's the hard truth..
If you can't find anything on simple Google search or on the forums
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help
there's non and you're bound to xposed & root, just like many other people, long not all devices are supported by development, only a few selected and that's why it is so important to research the device before you buy when you're in to flash & stuff..
Good luck
Hi
I thought it was pushing it with this nurvo and if I had the time to check it out before I bought it I'd have avoided it
I did see some info about someone and custom ROMs but cannot find it.
Its rooted fine (kingo)but without a decent ROM its just junk as its just too slow
Its fine for kids to play with and slowly using as a remote but that's it
Thanks mate
I will keep my ears open just in case but I won't hold my breath: (

Shield TV rom on portable?

Hey guys! I'm new to XDA and customromming/rooting in general. Years ago I got a shield portable and although I really like the hardware, I thought that the software and specifically game library needed work. Well, the game library situation was fixed thanks to Steam Link's release, but I'd like to use my shield for a little more.
I recently gifted my Fire Stick to my parents so they could watch netflix with a proper remote instead of a mouse on a laptop, and was wondering if I could install a modern rom to my shield portable and hook it up to the TV to act as a slightly slower Shield TV 2020? I'm looking for a rom that has all of the Google goodies like Assistant, linking to ghome, the leanback launcher, and the 'chromecast built-in' feature. Any way that can be done?
PS: As I said I'm new to XDA, so I apologize if this thread was posted to the wrong section.
