Help! Im a noob and probably ruined my phone. - HTC One SV

(This is my first post on xda, so I apologize for any mistakes.) Help please! I have a boost mobile HTC One sv (k2_cl) and it is unlocked. I was messing around and now my phone wont boot up and the /int_sd wont mount. I was running the stock 4.2.2 rom and now apparently there is no OS installed. I read that formatting the internal sd would fix this but whenever i try erasing anything other than the cache, it fails. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA assist. Please standby while we have your thread/question moved to the appropriate sub-forum for your device.
For future reference you can find your device sub-forum here (bookmark/subscribe this):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-sv
Within that section you will find a dedicated q&a sub-forum (this is where your thread is going to be moved to):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-sv/help
Good luck!

For boost mobile you can use a Ruu which they released for the latest available Software.
http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_...V_NV_Boost_2.20_150_release_389346_signed.exe
This will delete all of your data and your bootloader must be locked, if you are S-on (only as an info, in case you have unlocked at htcdev.com to gain root access).
Your phone must be connected in fastboot mode with your pc, then run the Ruu on your pc and follow the steps.

sorry for the late reply. i tried that but the application kept failing

Without any information about your phone and what steps you have done, nobody can help you.

Are there any CyanogenMod ports for the HTC One SV?
I currently do not have that phone on me, but it was running the stock 4.2.2 sense 5 rom and I had tried to install viperSV without checking compatibility first. This was my first attempt at rooting and installing a custom ROM. Now I know better though.

No CM and i bet there will never be one.

? ? ? No devoloper for CM on ours SV ? ? ? ?

Nope it! But we desire it pretty much from the devs old.splatterhand, xpirt, modding.mind or brateloslava and people who spoke ✌✌✌

You are a little bit to late, for the party, One SV is over 2 years old.
If someone of the guys you named could/would do it, it would be already done.

Okay I see Further no update for this device

Two solutions:
1) Don't hold the phone in landscape as problem is much worse when held like this..
2) Achieve S-OFF and install a custom ROM which should have a software fix.
If you need to know what S-OFF then you probably are S-ON. To see how to get S-OFF then use search within forum and google.
Look at other posts before creating a new thread......http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036357
i did a research on s-off but could'nt find any topic to show how to s-off the HTC Desire S.
Any resolution for that?

No idea, I'm afraid. I'd also recommend that you don't ask that question in the thread as it will simply annoy the developers who are working on the solution as fast as they can.
It has been shown to work on the Desire S already, but isn't yet released. It's released for other devices which shows that its not vapour ware and is worth waiting for.
and yes I'd suggest waiting a fortnight to a month at least....before contemplating XTC
If I've provided you with assistance or help then please hit the THANKS button!

take it easy, u might hurt ur self
ok its not quite in the right place, but no need to bite his head off.
anyway, in answer to your question, the way i removed the branding from my vodafone DS was this
http://revolutionary.io/ download this tool and follow its instructions, this will root your phone and give you a recovery tool that will allow you to flash a new ROM onto your phone.
With the phone rooted, you will be able to back up your data using an app from the market. Titanium Backup is the usual favorite.
EDIT : may be wrong about it providing root, I personally skipped the backup step as I had no data to lose, but if that is the case there are guides in the forums for obtaining root access
next look through this forum to find a ROM that suits your needs, from the sound of things you want the stock one, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1230029 should suit you.
download the zip file and transfer it to your SD card.
next you need to reboot into your recovery mode by turning the phone off, then hold the vol down button and power button together and selecting recovery from the menu
finally use the volume buttons to select install zip from SD card, and point it at your downloaded rom. it may take a few mins so allow it to finish then select reboot phone.
again this first boot may take a little time, but once its up you should have a debranded ROM as if you had just bought the phone new.
Add the details for your google account and redownload your backup app so you can restore your data and you are good to go
thank you very much for your help,
I shall give it a try,
by the way, will be able to install official updates on it, or will I have to stick with custom ROMs for ever?
thanks again

Nooo, not forever. Just until you get a new device
But seriously: Custom roms don't work with official updates. The trick is that most of the custom rom developers provide their own flashable updates for their roms. The difference is in the way you perform the update. There are even fairly developed custom roms, like MIUI, which have their own over-the-air updates (actually more often than official updates are coming.)
EDIT: In fact, you can switch back to a stock rom anytime and get the official updates back.

lol, possibly....hello,
although a lot of effort had been put into creating a lot of resources which are very user friendly, so it's quiet frustrating when they aren't even looked at.
Plus development is for just that, which is why the moderator moved the thread.

Once unlocked, i.e. rooted, you can use titanium backup or a root file explorer to uninstall the apps you don't need from the rom you are running atm.

Well, again: read around the forum a little, please. There is a sticky thread right on the top of the development section, called ROMS/RECOVERY/ROOT etc. It's a must read for newcomers. Very useful thread. There you find a link to a collection of stock roms. These are distributed as .exe files, so you can run them in windows and a simple-to-use installer will pop up and help you with pushing the stock rom to your phone. It is advisable that you double check that you are flashing the rom you really want. Someone here will help you to choose the right one.
EDIT: By the way in the general section (where we are now with this thread) there is also a very useful sticky. It's called Guide for Newcomers to Android. Seriously, it's a good read, given that you own an Android phone...

OK man, I will do that, thanks for the tips
Thanks chris5s, Ill definitely give it a shot.
This tool would help to get rid of the annoying Orange splash screen, and other useless apps could be removed as stated before.
Of course, best way is to install generic HTC European rom or custom rom of your choice.
Aforementioned tool would also help install roms, radios, etc, of your choice.
Good luck
Peace
Edit: sorry, Android flasher won't help install roms, but will help with installing custom recovery - Ext4 or Clockwork Mod - essential in s-off/rooted flashing.

Telstra One XL left charge on while updating.

Hey XDA.
I had another topic here but it seems better to make a new one? I left my charger in while updating and now my phone restarts itself randomly.
The update was to Sense Version 4.1
If I load a new Rom on will that help? Also do I need to have root to put a new Rom on or just the unlocked bootloader?
Thanks.

That's no use to me at all. Just pointing me to a random thread that has reall no details about my situation is no help at all.
If you actually had a look, it contains links to threads relevant to Telstra. One of them being this one , which tells you whether or not you need to root or just unlock bootloader in order to install a custom ROM. Which I believe answers your last question in OP.
Dunno why I'm even telling you that after you were so rude to someone trying to help you though.
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda premium
By the way if you've already posted a thread about this question you shouldn't post another. Read the rules.

Methinks he is trying to get posts, so that he can post into the developers thread
Maybe reading posts that you are pointed to will actually help you. Sounds to me like you bricked it by updating it legitimately, then letting it run out of charge whilst updating.
You may be able to unbrick your phone by going the custom ROM way, but if you wish to retain your warranty, maybe you could ask your question in a HTC forum or even whirlpool.
I know I can unbrick my phone if I misflash mine because I have a custom recovery done with instructions in the thread link provided by timmaaa. I have no idea on how to unbrick a locked bootloader phone, but I am sure that HTC would have provided a way.
And READ before being rude to members, we post links for a reason, its not just fobbing you off. If everyone was answered on every thread, people would be busy just typing all day.

Need help with Rooting

Guys I have a HTC ONE MINI 4.3 I want to root it but I dont know how I tryed a lot of softwares and methods can Anyone help me.I tryd the SuperOneClick off your website guys still dosent work
I don't think you'll be able to root being on 4.3. You would have to be on 4.2.2. I'm don't know where you reside but if you can downgrade using RUU then you can use revone to root. However, the only RUU currently available is for AT&T in US.

SuperOneClick didn't work for me either.
It doesn't matter what android version you are running to obtain root.
Ive sent you a pm with a guide to how i unlocked bootloader, installed a custom recovery, rooted device and installed MagioROM.
hope it helps

Fair point! however i should of stated that it was a link to an external site...not a guide created by myself! i assumed posting links to external sources may be against forum rules ( i may be wrong?)
I agree that it would be of benefit for a full step by step guide to be stickied on this forum, certainly easier for the community to find, unfortunately there isn't a detailed one at the moment.
anyway.... this question is answered many times on this forum and also freely available on google...if you SEARCH (how to root htc one mini) before posting, like i did, then you will find all the information you need.
I apologise if that sounds abrupt, its not meant to. Im trying to help without breaking forum rules
You're right, unlocking bootloader will work regardless the version. I think it's the case to obtain s-off. At least I had that issue.

Free WiFi on HTC ONE SV
I have a HTC ONE SV that is rooted and let me tell you, there are no custom roms that will help you out with the wifi. So Besybox is going to work or at least I haven't found one that works with mine. But there is a custom stock rom but it has a lot of bug's in it andthere ttalking about getting a custom rom and kernel in the near future.
