I've been searching everywhere but aside from the montblanc ($500!!) pen I cannot find a 2 in 1 s-pen replacement that has the s-pen nib on one side and an actual ink pen on the other side. Lots of cheap stylus / ink pen options but no real s-pen alternatives. Something like the wacom pen but also with ink on the other end would be great. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/wacom-b...bled-tablets-black/8282053.p?id=1218868675100
Anyone come across something like this? Thanks
Searching since months a similar product, but unfortunately until now without success....
I'm surprised considering so many notes are being sold (tablets and phones).

You have to make sure the Wacom pen works with Note 4. I know that Surface Pro 3 doesn't work with Wacom since 3 because MS went with some other digitizer system with SP3.
I have the Wacom "Bamboo Stylus feel" and he works perfect with the SGN4, but this stylus has no additional ball pen...

A DYI version would be to take a pen or pencil and wrap a light thin conductive thread around the opposite side that has the ink or lead. Make sure the thread goes at least to wear your fingers touch to complete the circuit. Touch screen pen that also is a actual pen. Cost should be around $3CAN.

Hi, i was thinking on buy the surface pen, but on description says that only works with surface pro, anyone knows if this works or if there is a way to make this pen works on rt ????
Thanks for all
It will not work.. the rt has a captive screen.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
The Pro also uses capacitive multitouch. However, it also has an active digitizer for the stylus. The RT doesn't have any stylus digitizer.
very sad =[, is there any other pen that hold on surface side like on pro?

That jot pro can hold on a bit since it's magnetic, but it's not super strong.
No, it's not possible at all. The Surface Pro has two layers of touch technology: one for fingers and one for pens, while the RT only has the touch layer.
Any capacitive stylus will work of course. As for whether any clip magnetically I don't know. Some have the little clip at the back like a regular pen so you might find something in whatever case or bag you use to clip a pen onto. I think microsoft should release a capacitive stylus in the same form factor as the surface pro pen.
a wacom chip is found in pro. But this is not in rt. So the pen wont work!

No, absolutely not. The plastic nib will not be recognized on the RT.
Is there a pen that would work on Surface RT that isn't a spongy mess at the end?
I have two pens right now. One that has a disc on the end that only works when you place the pen perpendicular to the screen.
The other looks like a metallic crayon/pencil hybrid.
Both suck and I'm out $80.
Is there anything that would work for quick sketches and note taking?
That maybe has a hard tip and won't scratch up the screen?
Can the screen be scratched by any stylus anyway?
Thanks!
I have tried several cheaper pens with awful results. I can make a perfectly straight line with my finger but the pens make squiggly lines 95% of time. The cheap pens I have work fine on an iPad screen.
Would like to hear if anyone finds a suitable pen.

I ordered the Wacom Bamboo. I'll update once it comes in.
My Adonis jot works beautifully. Absolutely love it. Needed a bit of foil between the disk and Stylus to fix minor jumping

How!? As your pen work? I have a HTC Flyer and not working!
Want a pen that isn't spongey, wrap kitchen foil around a biro. Has a scratch risk though which is probably why that spongey rubber gets used all the time.
Also a Zippo lighter works which is just weird.

Didn't work she was holding it weird and touched screen with finger.

The stylus for the HTC flyer is an active digitiser pen not a capacitative pen as needed for the RT. Of course it wont work, although it might if you were to wrap tin/aluminium/whatever foil around it but then that might scratch your screen which is bad and that would also interfere with the coil in the tip of active pens hence preventing it from then working as anything more than a capacitative pen on the HTC.
Does anyone else here use the "Hidden" feature of the s5, where it can use various items as a stylus? If so what do you use? For example I have been using a #2 graphite pencil as a precise stylus with the snote app and it's pretty cool. I'm curious to find out if other XDA users use this feature because I just ditched my n3 after seeing and using it. Also as a side note I use the iloome flex and plastic body pens don't work. Metal body ones may scratch your screen protector because it might be a rough metal ball. I used a pencil after testing and they do not scratch the screen (it's graphite hardness of 1 ) so I scratched my screen protector avoid scratching yours if you are going to test. Mechanical pencils (metal body) of .9 thickness work but don't let the metal lead holder scratch your screen.
sweet drawings dude
I just got the Adonit Mini Jot in the mail a few days ago, I love it. Small, compact, only downside is the tip is so accurate it can snap off and be replaced and since its glass (see through) theyre hard to find. They do sell replacements though.

Have you tried a standard pencil with the s note app? I found that with the snote note app you can use any pencil or mostly metal object when it's in app. But if you turn on extra sensitivity you can use the metal objects / pencils anywhere in the ui. I find it intriguing that Samsung doesn't talk about this feature but it's amazing. In short if you want to use a pencil stylus anywhere in the phone turn on extra Sensitivity, but if you only want it for writing the s note app is free.

I used their stylus almost 2 years ago and a quick peek at their website recently shows they released a few new ones. Let me know what you think of the mini jot.
I completely agree. It may be my favorite S5 feature. I use a mini golf pencil and it works wonderfully. It is an amazing combination with the DraStic DS emulator.
I read about this when I first got the phone but wasn't sure about the pencil so I didn't even really try it.
Well, I just did...and holy crap. That works REALLY well. It struggles with my E's, T's and I's when writing but drawing is phenomenal.
Now I have a use for that mechanical pencil that's been sitting in my pen cup on my desk for years lol
Thanks OP
this is amazing.
now all I have to do is learn to draw

Glad you liked it
Just be a little wary of the lead holder tips. For example the zebra mechanical pencils as they can scratch the screen or screen protector. I have yet to find my co workers 1.1 mm thickness full metal mechanical pencil to use as a stylus.
Been messing around with a good, small solution and this is what I came up with. Bobby Pin + Butchered DS Stylus:
Plan to work on it a bit more to make a more elegant solution. Just make sure the blob at the bottom of the bobby pin fully covers the metal.
I use my Samsung C-Pen ... I have had it for years.

Do you still have a spare spen to test? I ask because I have a Ativ tab 7 with a spen and I was wondering if the nib was big enough to be recognized. I don't mean have a Wacom digitizer either, I just see others here are writing with pencils, so I was hoping it would be sensitive enough to recognize the nib of the spen too.

I have a stylus looks like that too , work perfectly with this screen , even a metal stick will work :v
Samsung Galaxy S3 Galaxy C-Pen Stylus Pen works with Tab S
The Samsung Galaxy S3 Galaxy C-Pen Stylus Pen works perfectly with the 8.4" Tab S. Though the product specs say it works only on S3, I tried it wit the Tab S and it just glided.
The pen looks premium with a metal body and a hard tip. The hard tip gives it a nice feel while writing as compared to the usual hollow rubber tips.

I can tell you do not get the Wacom Bamboo Fineline. Apparently in this case, when the box says it's for ipad, they mean it. It's bluetooth and it paired with the tablet, but even using one of the special apps that are made specially to work with wacom styli (Bamboo Paper), this didn't work any better than a $9 Targus slim 6mm. If you hold the pen exactly perpendicular, the tablet registers the point. If you hold the pen like a human being at an angle to the surface, the tablet registers a point 2 or 3 mm away from where the point touches the surface, in the direction that the pen leans. Garbage. So I have a Samsung C-pen coming in the mail from ebay. Probably the only time I'm glad I have relatives who own ipads. haha
Hi Guys,
does anyone know if the Note 3 stylus would work?
No the S-pen does not work at all. Yes I tried, I have a note2 and note3. S-pen requires special digitizer hardware behind the screen.

So I'm planning on getting the same pen I think?
ETCS10CSE Silver Spare C Pen Stylus ?
How has it been for you? Smooth? Accurate? Does it make any sound when gliding? leave any smudges, marks? Because going by the reviews on: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...&keywords=ETCS10CSE+Silver+Spare+C+Pen+Stylus
It has an equal amount of negative reviews of it saying pressing too hard or rubber tore off etc etc. So this can be completely unusable for some Samsung devices?

The thin tip does not allow for much give and also the tip does bend under slightest pressure. Thats why I prefer wider tip stylus. I have tested numerous pens, and the cheapest 1,- EUR thingies turned out to be as good as the most expensive ones, if not better. The Wacom Bamboo works nicely too, though it is a bit heavy for my likings.

I know you asked for one that would fit in the spot on the phone itself. I don't know of any, but here is one that is just a replacement if you have a lot of change to spare from Montblanc, for kicks and giggles.

Pen sized stylus.....
Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced pen sized stylus for the Note 4?
For my old Windows CE devices I had always a third party stylus with a ball pen on the backside of the stylus they fits in the standard device stylus place - I miss this little gadgets....
Many Wacom stylus's work with the Note 4. I doubt you'll have any luck finding an actual metal replacement for the s-pen that fits the phone.
Wacom Bamboo Stylus
I have to try this, that would be awesome, a full size pen that I can actually comfortably hold in my hand.
