Unlock a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 - General Topics

Hi,
As the title says, im wanting my note 3 unlocked from the 3 (three) network in the UK.
I understand the Samsung unlock servers are down which is why i haven't done it myself, but also understand people can do it without the Samsung servers.
I am offering to pay for whoever can unlock it, either giving a code or telling me ho, or connecting via team viewer and unlocking my phone that way while plugged in with usb (or any other ways you may want to)
Sorry if this isnt allowed, i dont know where else i would post it!
Kind regards,
Hayden.

Hi,
As I mentioned in another topic, yesterday I placed an order with unlockunt for a Samsung. I got the code last night and everything is ok, got my Samsung unlocked instantly. I asked them before placing it if the Samsung servers are up again btw.

[Q] How do I carrier unlock a Samsung Galaxy W

(It sucks not to have a subforum..)
Title says it. I want to buy one of these phones, but I'm not gonna if I cant unlock the carrier (be able to insert SIM cards of other carriers). A friend used a program called blade unlock for the ZTE Blade, which gets the IMEI and gives you an unlock code (NCK, i believe it's called), and I found sites online with calculators where you input your IMEI and it gives you an NCK code to input when you turn on your phone. All those utilities were free.
Can I do so with a Galaxy W? I find only online sites which charge for it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, is this an easy phone for rooting and stuff? Or is it one of those that you cannot root?
Thanks in advance for all the help.
You may try to use the application: Galaxy S Unlock.
Thing is: if I buy the phone it's gonna be from another carrier, which I cannot use. I don't want to be stuck with an unusable 135€ phone... :X
I'm not gonna buy it until I found a free way to unlock it. If anyone knew if the Galaxy S unlocker works in Galaxy W, I'd be more grateful than *insert lame comparison here*. No, seriously, I'd owe you a beer.
Bump;
Sorry to be annoying, but I really would like to know if any exploit works for unlocking Samsung Galaxy W. As a last resort, however, I'd buy a code off eBay..
I'd like to know the same......every thread I've read with this question ends without an answer either way!
Only sites that want you to pay seem to exist to provide you with an unlock code!

Bought a Samsung Galaxy S6.....Now it's locked by RAC! Please help a NOOBIE out?

Hello Everyone, This is my first post here on XDA and I'm hoping you folks can help me out. I bought this S6 from a guy on Craigslist. When I got it everything was fine. I put my sim in a tested it be sure all was well. So I pull my sim out and put it away for a few days to be a birthday gift to my son. So he opens it up, puts in his sim card and goes through the setup. As soon as he was done we get this popup that the phone is locked by Rent-A-Center. Well crap, now what do I do? I bought this in good faith, paid hard-earned money for it, and now it's locked. Of course the seller is no where to be found. And there's not a Rent-A-Center within a hundred miles of me so it's UN-telling where it came from.
I did some research and ran across this thread here. I found what I thought was the latest firmware and flashed it to the phone. But I got no love as it is still locked. I also found a thread on rooting the S6 and followed that but it didn't work either. Now in no way am I a phone guru. My experience so far has been rooting my S5 by searching a thread, downloading what was linked in that thread, and following the step-by-step directions in that thread. With that said could someone help me out with this? I know it's asking a lot to post step-by-step directions and links but that would really help me out.
I should probably add that I can't get into this phone in anyway. After resetting the phone to factory and wiping the cache it then goes to setup. Immediately after setup it locks with the RAC popup and you can not go any further. I can't get to anything such as IMEI, build number, etc.
So with that said I would really appreciate any help you folks can give. I'm stuck at this point.
You're not going to bypass anything. The person you bought the phone from either stole it from Rent A Center, was delinquent on payments, or claimed that it was lost or stolen and the RAC remotely bricked the phone. Just like how people with iPhones can turn lost or stolen phones into permanent bricks regardless of what people try to do, it's the same for Android.
Your best bet is to try and contact RAC somehow and see if they're willing to provide the necessary information to bypass the lock. Otherwise, you're out of money and a phone.

I appreciate your replying to my post. But none of this is a known fact. You are making an assumption. And while it could be true neither you nor I know that it is true. And if it is true then that is on the seller, not on me. What is a known fact (at least by me) is that I have a phone that I bought in good faith. It is locked and I need help.
I have found many posts and videos on the internet of S5's and other phones being unlocked. I found a post here on XDA that the author stated he had experience with this on an S6 that I linked above in my original post. I tried what he said but it did not work for me. That could be because I used the wrong files or just from my inexperience. I did send that poster a message but have not heard back from him.
So with all that said I'm still in the same position. I need help from the folks here on XDA. Anybody got any ideas? Thank you all.

My friend, you have to believe what @Tacoo is saying...with s6, you cannot bypass the RAC. Talking about the s5, you can only bypass it when it has kitkat and s6 is far different from s5 in terms android version and such bugs has being fixed...the only option u have now is to contact the person you bought the phone from to help you with the RAC or return the phone and get your money back. There is no way to bypass RAC in S6

Exactly. Android on Lollipop and Marshmallow is like what Apple did with iOS. On iOS, if you put the lockdown on your phone and it gets stolen, even if someone wipes it entirely, the phone is useless without the original owner putting in their Apple ID. Android is the same way now, along with Samsung having their own account layer on top of that.
You can restore and wipe the phone, but chances are that you're not going to bypass this without contacting RAC.

Bootloader unlock - Huawei update - ACT NOW if you want to unlock!

As many of you will know Huawei pulled the unlock bootloader site. People have since had mixed results emailing them directly for the code. I emailed them for the unlock code yesterday (11th June 2018) and recived the reply copied below.
It certainly clears some things up. Interestingly the bootloader site is back up, albeit for a limited time! You lave 60 days from 24th May before they stop the service! https://emui.huawei.com/en/unlock_detail
When you go to unlock via the link they give you this warning: Screenshot https://photos.app.goo.gl/2kcJ2J9gXWpwE8XN9
Personally I think it is a bad move on Huawei's part . If you've not unlocked bootloader and intend to do so I'd jump it it ASAP!
Thank you for contacting Huawei Customer Care.
In response, we would like to inform you that starting May 25th and until July 25th (for 2 months) – the EMUI website will get back the bootloader code search function, for products released before May 25th.
Starting July 25th 2018, the Huawei official policy (as per HQ decision) is to not offer bootloader codes to customers anymore in order to avoid issues that may appear due to ROM flashing, and thus maintain the user’s experience.
The website can be reached here to obtain the bootloader code : https://emui.huawei.com/
We hope this information should prove useful. Should any questions arise, feel free to contact us again.
We remain at your disposal for any other inquiries that you may have.
Best regards,
Ben

Oh I'll crawl back under the rock from which I came haha
Does *applying* for the code alone void the warranty? OR can I apply and receive a code, but only void the warrently the moment I unlock it?
Aye there's a few threads about this, I've got one myself.
And I agree with everything in your OP mate.
They'll probably in the future start allowing unlocks.
No one wants a locked down android phone and when it hits their pocket they'll know that.
Unfortunately for p20 pro owners the damage is done and the lack of ROMs is testament to that.
Perhaps if they'd just released one damn variant without all the madness they've forced upon us there would be less problems flashing ROMs I mean look at Oneplus, they actually had twrp as a part of their official root method on their site for the longest time haha and here's Huawei putting their finger up to the people who've done more for Android than anyone.
Apparently we're only 1% of their customer base?
I promise you they'll lose more than 1% sales when the next flagship is released as there will be zero ROMs on here when it does and none of the enthusiastic users here to create a buzz about it.
Beginning of the end and the birth of another Apple.
They'll learn, just like HTC did, if a little late.
Hi everyone,
This is my first post here but I have been swimming through your posts since ever I think
I have a Chinese P20 Pro (CLT-AL01) and I have been trying to obtain the code from the EMUI webpage but no success. I entered all the info that demands but it doesn't give back the code. It shows a message like if you have any problem with the unlocking process just contact us. Maybe it's because the phone is Chinese? Happened to someone?
I contacted them via huawei email today, I will wait a few days and I'll see.
Btw I am trying to rebrand it to the EU version.

yes, both devices are UK C782 models
So this happened:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear xxxx,
Thank you for contacting Huawei Support.
We are unable to send boot loader code via email and can only be obtained through our website.
If you would want to unlock your phone, you should meet the following conditions:
1. Please register your Huawei ID in our official website xxxxxxxx on your phone.
2. Log in and logout your Huawei ID continuously for 14 days.
3. Each Huawei ID should not apply for the unlock code more than fifth time within 6 months.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the conditions are a bit demanding idk, I am thinking about returning the phone asap. What do you guys think?
That's rubbish, this is reply I got regarding unlock code
Thank you for contacting Huawei Support UK.
In response to your question, we inform that requesting the bootloader will not void the warranty, If you use it, then yes the phone will not have warranty anymore.
Should you require the code, please provide us with the following details:
Device model:
Serial number:
IMEI:
Product ID - dialing *#*#1357946#*#*. If not available, the invoice should be attached.
Reason for the unlock code:
We are looking forward for your reply and let us know if you have any other questions.

They are making excuses for not giving me the unlock. The worst thing is that I registered the huawei account on the phone yesterday, so in 14 days it will be July 24th and that day they will stop giving the code
Huh?
Can't you just log into the EMUI-Site from the first post and request your code there? It worked for my device a few weeks ago. It was quick and easy.
@walkerx Huawei Support Germany insists that even requesting the code voids the warranty. Of course this is bull and not even legal, but whatever floats their boat I guess.

I got that email response from their UK Helpdesk and told them the reasons for it was due to the lack of updates for the devices, incompatibility with certain apps and that they allow UK network operators to take over your devices even when purchased as sim-free, unlocked out of contract and unless they change their attitude towards the UK users and not reverse the unlocking bootloader decision then I will no longer purchase another Huawei device.
I may not unlock until after I swap phones to another model, but I always want that option and do not agree with it being locked down.
I'm also thinking of logging a UK petition online to prevent network operators in the UK from taking control off our devices and re-branding them and deciding whether or not and when we should get updates as these should be left to google or the manufacturers not the network provider. Also like with Apple devices wifi calling features should be standard and work for all networks not just limited and they should not require a specific firmware supplied by the operator for these to work - should be done by network setting only
I'm totally with you on this point. Fortunately, in Germany, most (not all!) providers don't force any unnecessary crap on an unlocked device and don't mess with the firmware. Some do, however.
I would also prefer to be able to unlock an reflash whenever I want to, or get rid of the forced on G-Apps, or fully use tasker to control the device (which you need to be rooted for some certain things).

No, I have to wait 14 days they say. The phone is new so I have used it just some days.
Just go ahead and try it out! Can’t anything happen besides the form not putting out a valid code

Galaxy J7 - G.oogle verification issue.

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum.. as a member that is. Over the years I've always came here to find solutions to any problems I might be facing with my phone. I always walked away with a solution except the one time (Galaxy Note 5/Verizon, I wanted to root it.. but I guess no one came up with away around that one).
But enough with the small talk, here is the problem I'm facing and I'm hoping one of the phone experts here can help me, or point me in the right direction. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy J7 Percy SM-J727P from someone online. They wanted $50, bUT since it was Google verification locked I was able to talk them down to $20. Prior to going and picking it up I did a quick search for bypassing the g.oogle verification to see if others has successfully bypassed it, and I found a number of YouTube videos as well as websites with steps on how to do it. So I went ahead and purchased the phone. I began watching videos following a couple methods I saw on YouTube which had comments as recently as 3 days ago of people saying that they were able to bypass it. Little did I know there were so many J7s available. To my luck, I was unable to get any of the methods to work.
So I've come here to ask the experts on their advice on how to bypass the verification on this specific model J7. If anyone knows how and doesn't mind telling me, or pointing me in the right direction on where to read the steps on how to go about bypassing it I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

It looks like you were handed over a suspicious phone. Maybe stolen or maybe a dumb owner. We dont do FRP unlocking here on XDA. If videos didn't work, you probably wont get any other help from community.
Go to a local mobile shop would be my suggestion.
FRP is there to prevent lost/stolen phones from being used, if you've bought a phone that is FRP locked you should take it up with the seller. Not try to break the lock yourself!
Bottom line, its very likely the phone has either been lost or stolen.
If the phone was obtained legitimately you can ask the seller to reset their password and unlock it as per Samsung's instructions here:
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/frp/

anyone NICE have some time to teach

I want to learn some basic stuff and have a ton of questions. I posted a few but the 1 person that Dm'ed me when I tryed to ask more questions yelled at me for having tone when even though I was very nice because I am greatful that he took the time.
I do not want to get yelled for no reason so there is no way I will ask him anything else.
So is there anyone willing to take sme time to have a conversation with me about a samsung S6 phone?
No one is going to yell at you for no reason... if they do it's a lick on them.
Post your questions so others can learn as well.
No one person knows all the solutions so you benefit from more sources of knowledge by posting the questions on the forum.
Or simply be patient as you will eventually find the answers you seek... works for me.
Ok I was given a phone samsung from a lady that changed to a new company.
The phone she gave me has no sim card and has been resotred to start.
What th woman who gave it to me and I both do not know is if the phone is carries locked and how to gey it unlocked.
I have googled and it seems there are a lot of unlock code generators that charge a fee.
Can anyone tell me first is there a free one second if not one that is not some kind of a scam.
The phone says it is a Samsung SM-G920A.

Have the last owner sign in on the phone and delete their Google and Samsung accounts on it.
You can then do a factory reset and configure it as you please.
That's the easy way... any other way will be much harder.

Maybe I am not explaining this right.
The samsung phone has been reset so it is like it is a new phone.
It was a ATT carrier and I want to use it on a differant carrier so I need to unlock the carrier.
So I am looking for a way to unlock the carrie.
So what I am looking for is a
Unlock Code Generator.
Is there one that is used and not a scam?

The easiest way is to have AT&T unlock it.
If there's no outstanding balance on the account they should. Usually the account holder does this, not sure how this will work in your case.
AT&T can still/could have blacklist(ed) the phone's imei even if you use a 3rd party unlocker.
Probably best to work it out with AT&T. They are very intolerant of delinquent accounts though. If a balance was owed by the previous owner they will probably want it paid to unlock it. They just want their money. If no money is owed you should be alright.
As much as I know... I may be mistaken. Never had to play with this.
