All,
I wanted to try and compare the screen on my Note Edge to the screen on the LG G3. For testing, I decided to try to load up the same video in YouTube, simultaneously. I noticed the clarity was MUCH better on the G3 and was surprised. To verify the testing, I checked to see what resolution the video was running on both devices and discovered a big discrepancy. I chose a file that was recorded in 4K and found that the quality was set to 1440p (max the screen supports), but the Note Edge only gave the option to go to 720p...not even an option for 1080p. I did some Google searches to see if there was a setting I needed to adjust. Even after trying to install the latest version of YouTube from APKMirror, I cannot get the Note Edge to play anything above 720p. Is this a problem for anyone else? Any fix? If it were the same thing for both phones, I would just pass it off as a YouTube issue. Since I can get the higher resolution on the G3, however, I am wondering why the Note Edge will not. Thanks in advance!
UPDATE (Resolved):
This appears to be an issue more present with the Verizon model. After playing around with things today, I have been able to get the 1440 option to show up in YouTube on my Verizon model. Here are the steps I took to get it to work.
1) Go into the YouTube app and sign out.
2) Go into Settings>Applications>Application Manager>All and select YouTube
3) Clear Cache
4) Clear Data
5) Force Stop
6) Uninstall Updates
7) Turn Off
8) Reboot (*optional)
9) Install YouTube version 6.0.13 from here http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/
*Note: I tried the newer versions first, but it still only gave 720p as an option
10) Go into YouTube and try to watch a video that supports 1440p and see if it works (it did for me)
11) If it worked, go into the Play store and upgrade to the newest version (1440p still works for me)
12) If it did not work, try the steps again. I saw in another thread that it took multiple times for some people.
I hope this works for others. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

This is interesting as I was using the same internet connection for both devices and speed should not be an issue at all. I even tried my Samsung Note tablet and it also was able to play at 1440p. I will try again today to see if I have any better luck. Thank you for your response!
I would like to add that I have the Verizon Note Edge...not sure that matters, but wanted to relay that bit of information. Thanks.
I also have the Verizon Note Edge and only have 720p as an option. Even on WiFi.
I have the Tmobile Note Edge and I did a 4k video search on Youtube and was able to choose up to 1440p
sprint version , 1440 for me as well
Att can 4 k
I have tried with Att model with no issues
I have the Korean exynos version and mine is also limited to just 720p.

Hello,
I tried your method but it didn't work. I did try several times as you suggested.
Those steps did not work for me either. I appreciate the effort though.

Did you try going through the steps multiple times? I know others have had to do it multiple times to get it to take. It may have only worked for me because I tried the steps 5+ times as I was determined to fix it ?
720 for me also and on verizon. I think those idiots did it purposely

Unfortunately for Verizon suscribers they dont have root thanks to locked bootloaders. Sprint is doing the "cut your bill in half event" along with paying ETF fees so better get into your nearest Sprint store Verizon customers lol

Please note I am on Verizon and was able to get the 1440p working in YouTube using the steps I posted. It may take going through the steps a few times, but I am no longer stuck with only 720p .

Stock JB, most recent system firmware updates installed, not rooted.
I have installed the final Flash apk, and understand this is now unsupported.
I was trying to watch Hulu video on Chrome, requesting Desktop site, but it won't play, as the Flash that is installed apparently isn't enabled, recognized, etc.j
Troubleshooting it, I found instructions to enable the plugin by typing "aboutlugins" in the address bar of chrome, but when I do, it doesn't take me anywhere. I get Error 300, with "this webpage is not available."
Is there a way to get this working? Why am I unable to even get into the "aboutlugins" page to view the settings and enable Flash?
Any insight appreciated.
i believe you have to install the ICS version of adobe.

Thanks for the *quick* reply!
AFAIK, I did install the ICS version - 11.1, which I had downloaded, if I recall right, for my Galaxy Nexus, prior to the JellyBean update. If this isn't the right file, or if you can link to the correct one, I'll be happy to give it a try.

Looks like the same file I have (same size anyway), but I went ahead and installed it. No difference in the behavio described above. When I try to just open Flash, in Chrome, it just brings me to a blank page, even with I choose Desktop site.
Is this working for anyone with Stock/non-rooted Infinity tablet??
My understanding is that chrome on Android does not support flash at all.

Yes, it's beginning to look like that. I thought having the final flash apk would avoid this, but perhaps not.
What are the best 3rd party browsers that do support flash, and which would enable viewing video at hulu (not hulu plus), and which would not conflict with the stock or chrome browser, or other system functions?

I believe Boat still supports flash in the mobile browser.
Not sure if Opera mobile supports it.
Seems like a lot of folks like Opera.
I just use the stock browser with the common tweaks, I'm rooted however.

I am on stock, not rooted (10.4.4.20) and flash plays fine in the stock browser (not chrome). I have also used Boat browser and this also works with flash.

Thanks for this. What happens if you go to www.hulu.com, with the Stock Browser, and try to play the free video there, which will play normally on one's Desktop computer? For me, it says Hulu is not supported on the mobile device. This occurs even if I select the Desktop version of the stock browser, rather than the mobile set.
So I thought I'd try Chrome, and when I select the Desktop site for Hulu, it comes up with a message that I need Flash version 10.x or higher to play that video. That's when I found the advice to enable Flash by going to "aboutlugins" in the address bar, which doesn't work for me at all.
So I think Flash is working for me on other sites in the Stock Browser, as it does with you, but Hulu won't work here. It seems like it might work with Chrome, but it seems that even though Flash is correctly installed on my Tablet, Chrome won't use or recognize it.
So, is there any way to get Hulu (again, not Hulu Plus) working on my Tablet using either Stock or Chrome Browser? Or would another Browser, such as Boat, be required? Can you play Hulu with Boat?
Thanks to all!
Just to make sure.

Ah,
I don't have subscription so I couldn't get Hulu free to run on Boat, Skyfire 4.0 or the regular browser.
These browsers are Flash enabled...no luck even with the desktop stock.
Hulu just sends me back to the sign up for mobile devices page.

Bummer. Looks like it's not going to be possible to see the free hulu content on a mobile device, even a tablet, as you can on a desktop.
Dang,
Looks like no matter what Hulu free knows your on the Android platform and refuses the request.
Someone here at XDA probably has a hack for this.
Guess we're slightly fortunate here.
We have Comcast and just use the Xfinity app for TabTV.

pm me for playing hulu in stock browser.
If anyone here lives in the New York/New Jersey area chances are your isp and cable provider is Cablevision and Optimum Online respectively
The optimum app allows you to stream TV over your local wifi network
The note 10.1 is current not supported by the app but my verizon note 2 is
Ive found the other threads here involving this app but none seem to work even modifiying the build prop just puts my note 10.1 into a boot loop
the modified apks work but the note 10.1 still wont allow it to access , even after clearing data and giving root privileges
One of the main reasons i bought this tablet was for this app (guess i should've checked compatibility before buying) because my daughter
loves to watch her cartoons while ive got the game on.
In any event Id love to get this working but im not sure what else to try so any help would be much appreciated and im sure other users who
have Optimum services at home would be grateful as well.
Thanks for reading
Well im happy to say that i have figured it out.
I had to edit my build prop manually in root browser to make it appear as my note2
also had to clear all the data from the google apps
and side load the optimum app pulled from my note 2
needless to say It works and with the multiwindow app its great

Sure thing
Your device needs to be rooted to modify the build.prop file located in the root of your device
I attached 2 files one is the modified build prop file taken from my note 10.1
The other is the optimum app pulled from my note 2
I had no success just copying the build.prop and changing permissions so I had to edit the build.prop using the text editor
Step 1 make a nan droid backup...just in case
Step 2download the two attached filed
Step 3 navigate to the build.prop you downloaded open it up with a text editor and take a screen shot from the top line
Step 4 navigate to the root of your device and create a copy of the build.prop file using root browser or something similar
Step 5 open the build.prop file with a text editor and using multiwindow pull up the screen shot you took before
Step 6 change your build prop to match the screen shot. I believe 6 lines are different..but double check
Step 7 click the save button.
Step 8 go into application manager and clear the catche for play store I did all the Google apps but it may not have been neccesary
Step 9 reboot your tablet
Step 10 install the optimum apk you downloaded before
Step 11 sign in and enjoy
These are the steps I took and it did work for me I wish I knew more but I'm not that android savy. Hopefully this will work for you too.....
Also the play store should still see your tablet as a tablet not a note 2 so you should be able to still get tablet only apps
Also and this is important if you are using xposed mods this will not work the xposed framework causes the optimum app to fail, you can still run ROMs with xposed baked in , I'm running hyper drive on this and beans 16 on my phone, just don't install the framework
Let me know if it works for you

well im in the playstore as i'm writing this and i see sketchbook pro for tablets is available $4.99....so i'm guessing all is well.
last night i was watching ghost stories on bio from my optimum app......works flawlessly!!! i also downloaded an app called hide system bar to hide the bottom menu buttons when watching your optimum...and screen rotation control....to force the app into landscape.
enjoy guys!
Love hide bar.... I seer the left button to back and swipe on it for recent. Right button is home and swipe for notifications.
What I love is that I can pull up the menu bar while watching TV using optimum app and use the multi window functions and get rid of it just as easily and not skip a beat.... Unless you switch the app to full screen... This stops optimum.
I tried GMD hid bar in conjunction with GMD gesture.... But hiding the status bar stops the optimum app in its tracks.
Either way glad it works for you and if your looking to further customise your note expierence try sslauncher

Newest comments on the Optimum App on Google Play say that it will not run with Root and it detects Xposed with Root Cloak and will not run. This may be due to a recent update. This is typical of Optimum and Cablevision. I have two Android wifi tablets and the Optimum App will not install on either one. Optimum denies that it will only run on phones but this seems to be the case, despite the app requiring a wifi connection to work. Every other television streaming app for Android works on all or most Android devices and Optimum has chosen to do this phone by phone rather than by Android OS version.
can you please try put it more simple or with more details i cant figure out yet . i have the samsung galaxy s note 10.1 thanks.....

So the evita has made it into the first group of devices with official nightly builds for CM12!
You can read the blog post from CyanogenMod here: cyanogenmod.org/blog/the-l-is-for-lollipop
Or... you can jump right into the downloads here: download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=evita
Hi All-
I've built CyanogenMod 12 from source for the HTC One XL.
Nothing has been modified, and the only thing required to get it to work was some trickery with the proprietary blobs.
Most everything seems to be working properly!
There are some app glitches I've seen (particularly video playback), but I'm guessing it's not specific to this device.
Some of the video problems can be solved by disabling the NuPlayer in the Developer options.
Updated 2014-12-16. Video appears to be a bit more stable.
Updated 2014-12-22. Update to Android 5.0.2! (whatever that means)

I'm running HBOOT 2.18, s-off, TWRP 2.8.1.0; so I'd recommend you do the same
Steps:
Download CM12; put it on your SD card:
cm-12-20141229-UNOFFICIAL-evita.zip
cm-12-20141229-UNOFFICIAL-evita.zip.md5sum
Download PA Beta Google Apps; put it on your SD card:
(Not required, but you'll want this for the Play Store app)
[GAPPS][5.0.x][BETA] OFFICIAL Up-to-Date PA-GOOGLE APPS (All ROM's) [2014-12-25]
Reboot to recovery.
Take a backup if you want.
Do a 'factory reset'.
(NOTE!!! Do not do the factory reset from the bootloader, since that will wipe ALL your files)
Install CM12 & Google Apps.
Reboot!
I'll be making more builds as time goes on, until we get official support.
Have fun and let me know if anything goes wrong!
A note about md5sums:
I don't know why people don't seem to recommend doing this, but TWRP will automatically check md5 hashes for you.
Just include the .md5sum file in the same folder as the .zip file.
I've had corrupted downloads/transfers before, and they're easy to avoid.

I'm on AT&T and I don't have any problems with the phone app or IMEI; who is your carrier?
If you want to post a logcat I will look into it.
As for battery, Juice Defender could be hurting if it is aggressively closing apps/services which then restart themselves.
Or you could try disabling NFC. I've had many problems with NFC on other ROMs for this phone in the past, and I never use it so I always keep it off.
I clean installed again, and I can see, a very big difference.
I can see my IMEI now, I can also:
Make calls
Connect thru mobile data
Watch YouTube and Netflix

Battery is not bad at all.
But I still can't watch video on Instagram or Facebook.
After getting a phone call, phone app becomes unresponsive. It freezes on the call screen displaying the word "Terminando" English for "Ending".
Everything else works, but you can't call again until rebooting.
I love CyanogenMod and Lollipop.
Thank you for the great work.
Edit: I forgot, my carrier is TELCEL in México City.

I've been using this rom for a day now and through the short use of this rom I've not noticed any hiccups except getting Vipermod to work fully. Trying to boost the speaker volume for instance but have not come to any success. Other than that it's proving very nice and I am really liking 5.0 since my LG G2 took a dive the screen shattered.
Edit: Unfortunately I spoke too soon because I have run into two specific problems so far, one being the battery. It's difficult with this rom to make it through even a whole day and when the "battery saving feature" kicks in the device is reporting 15% left yet in reality this is around 3% because I go to turn the device on and it shuts down.
Second problem I found was with the music streaming service Pandora. The audio just doesn't want to play. I've had no issues with youtube and other videos through chrome, just Pandora and wanting to stream across bluetooth.
I understand this is an APLPHA, just wanted to report back my findings. Thank you for taking the time on this Rom and I will be checking back in to test again and see how the progress goes as I am really enjoying Lollipop.

Pandora works fine for me. I wasn't expecting it to so it is a pleasant surprise
Are you running the 12/16 version?
For battery, I haven't seen a problem.
What does the battery usage page say?
Have you tried turning off NFC?
I am running the latest version and as far as the battery usage page goes I can't really trust it right now because it tells me values that as aren't really took crazy yet my battery gets eaten up on this rom. Have you tried Pandora through bluetooth music streaming? I've heard that this is a problem with other lollipop roms so far as well.
Will CyanogenMod support Evita in their CM12 version?
Is there any way to know which devices are going to be supported? If so could you share a link? Thank you.

At the moment, no devices are supported.
There is no list of devices with planned support; although, there have been a few CM11 devices that are planned to not be supported in CM12.
Many updates are happening on different parts of the code, and various things are expected to break/fix from day-to-day.
Once the CyanogenMod team decide the code is stable-ish (for at least the popular devices) they will start releasing nightly builds.
At that time, I see no reason for this device not to be supported since I am already building the code practically unchanged.
CyanogenMod on November 13th said:
We are unlikely to enable nightlies against CM12 until towards the end of this month, or early next month, as we work to incorporate the CM features you’ve all come to appreciate into the new code base, and reimagine those that no longer translate to the Material look of L. It is also currently too soon to tell how many devices will transition from 11 to 12, though early traction has this number higher than we had initially hypothesized.

Thank you so much for the info! Anyways I just installed your ROM and its looking gorgeous! Smooth installations, not problems whatsoever so far. Will report later with any finding.
Thanks a lot for your work!
Installed new version 12162014.
Phone app does not crash after hanging up, but Bluetooth calls do not work.
Phone app crashes when dialing.
Hello, i've already use the newest version, and it works flawlessly, btw it kind of slow loading if i using it for playing some games, is it because the app usually run at dalvik runtime and now because the lollipop it run at ART and that cause the app loading so slow?
I've loaded the newest ROM, cm-12-20141218-UNOFFICIAL-evita.zip
It works great, except for a couple of things.
1. AudioFX keeps stopping.
2. When I connect my phone to computer via usb, sometimes the internal storage shows up in File Explorer, sometimes not. When it does, I can open Internal Storage and see all the folders. However, when I open some of the folders, I see either no files, or only some of the files that I know are really there. From the phone I can see the files using ES file Explorer. Also, I've found no way to change the usb protocol (MTP, PTP or USB Mass Storage).
Other than this, the ROM seems to run just fine.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for this great ROM. Runs realy smooth and stable for me, but mobile data and usb connection to my PC isnt working.
In the APN settings there is a message that the APN settings arent available for this user and im not able to add an APN. Any idea?

Camera - Unable to focus?
Just noticed that the focus on my phone does not work. Anyone notice the same issue?
It wasn't able to focus on rom packaged version and also google camera from play store. I first dirty flashed but then did a clean install and still was acting up. Was working fine in Sense 5 and CM11.
Taking photos and videos etc function works though. Just wasn't able to point focus.
This is so cool !! Just tried on my rogers htc one xl evita w/ hboot 2.18 and TWRP
Flawless

same for me
and mobile data isn't working or only for a short time after a reboot.
So far this has been great, had a couple reboots one after trying to reply with Hangouts and another when setting up my work email. Has had some small lag but nothing major.
Luckily I still had an XL for a backup. My GPE converted M7 won't turn on or charge anymore
Hi,
I recently flashed INS 6.0.1 to my 920I without factory reset. The phone feels generally smoother but there is a massive frame drop in games like Alto and Hearthstone.
I did a factory reset. Alto is now smooth but heavier games like Hearthstone aren't as smooth as they were on Lollipop.
Anyone else having frame drops?
I have framerate issues too.Mostly in heavy games.
Went back to Lollipop, and it is good again.
I tried different kernels for 6.0.1 (arter,SpaceX,stock),there were some differences, but generally with all of them gaming performance was much lower than with Lollipop.
The phone is so much faster now, I don't understand why does this happen. Could it be a general Marshmallow problem or Samsung screwed up again?!
me tooooo!
When i play Shadown Fighter 2, it says that my s6 seems FPS low. WTH
When scroll fb or mail, it is very lag
Same here, had some rough frame drops in Vainglory, while everything UI wise was much smoother.
It made me roll back to Lollipop (XtreStoLite 2.4) cause of this.
I flashed the original 5.1.1 firmware, and did the normal steps to get back to XtreStoLite from there (copy ROM internally, TWRP flash, flash ROM, etc).
I have no idea how to fix it, with Marshmallow.
Tried different kernels aswell, but no real improvements that solves the frame drops.
Game Lag on S6
You should try doing a quick restart on your phone since there might be an overheating issue going on you can also
1. go into your application manager - find the app - clear cache and restart it
2. if the game still is lagging you can try un installing it and re installing it
3. you can also close all running apps and then try restarting the game - since too many running apps can mess with another one running

Then tell me why Lollipop has absolutely 0 issues running Vainglory.
Its not just an app cache, or overheating, its a Marshmallow thing (and I also had it on a custom ROM btw).
At first I thought it would be Vainglory itself, but other Marshmallow devices dont have any issues (asked guildmates).

Yes . there is an issue with 6.0.1. and not JUST the lagging or throttling.
Simcity buildit :
- if u played it in android 5, and upgraded to 6.0.1 , everything working FINE, ZOOMING also, but lag comes in a rush, within 5 minutes...and remains the HOT till 10 min, after it, THE HOT goes away... SO this is a SW issue,
- if U go back to lollipop, woking fine , no lag, no heat....
- if u do a clean ODIN like FW flashing with 6.0.1, heat, LAG ramins, AND there is NO option to ZOOM in in the GAME.....
so some features ARE NOT IN THE CLEAN 6.0.1 FIRMWARE.,
Always have to flash 5.0.1 and DO an OTA to 6.0.1 : features remains from 5.0.1 ( some " -so" -s are missing I think...) + LAG and HOT comes....
annoying
And this is what I hate about Android, or possibly just a Samsung experience this time.
Seriously concidering switching to iOS.
I've had Android devices ever since I started using Smartphones, but there is always something with Android that you have to deal with.
Frame drops, buggy software, incompatible stuff, custom ROMs with its flaws, its always SOMETHING.

Yes you are right, AND when we are facing with this kind of issues, I am afraid of purchasing a similar device (s7)
maybe that will carry all these 6.0.1 issues, as s6 does. ....I dunno.
Yes , there is the SD810, and we have to worry about sd820. or not? I mean there are impovements, and advanced cooling systems, BUT agter 810, and exynos 7420 with 6.0.1, I will TRY the device, befor I buy another one, for sure.
I can confirm THERE IS SOMETHING VERY WRONG with Marshmallow. Tried both stock and custom ROMS/Kernels.
Mortal Kombat's Basic 2D Menus has framedrops down to 10 FPS...
While gameplay fps goes up and down between 30 & 60.
Everything was so smooth with lollipop
Are you serious Samsung?! Devices cost half of S6 (yeah I'm talking about One Plus Two!) handles games way better than this sh*t. Not to mention RAM & Multitasking.
Definitely I'll never pick a Samsung phone again. Even if they give me free S7 I'll sell it and buy phone from other manufacturer.

Thanks guys. Glad to know it's not me only.
I don't understand how Samsung would do this, Exynos 7420 is very powerful and Marshmallow is actually better.
Seems like it's trying to force us to buy S7
Big News
While I was messing around with phones stuff I finally found what's causing this issue.
Use Titanium Backup (if your phone is rooted) or Package Disabler Pro (if your phone is not rooted) and disable these apps :
1. Game Launcher
2. Game Tools
3. GamepadService
4. GameService
Now gameplay in Mortal Kombat is 60 FPS and in menus never gets below 30 :good:
Note : Game Tools and Game Launcher don't come with stock ROM. Some custom roms includes these apps. So don't worry if you can't find them.
Note 2 : after disabling GameService, Game Tuner won't work. But who cares about it when your games run more smoother on 1440p than 1080p or 720p?
Note 3 : With some very short testing ( 5 minutes  ) I found that conservative Governor gives even better gaming experience. But I'm not sure.
is it still working for u? without frame drops ?

It may work on other devices, I don't have any others, so I cannot test or support them. Please let me know if you do, and if it works for you.

That would be much too huge of a list mate.
Any updates forthcoming for this or the HTC/Blackberry ports you mentioned? It's great to have another custom ROM (or Mod or whatever) for us poor Snapdragon/Locked BL suckers and I'm surprised this hasn't received more attention, considering how few choices we do have on that front. (What, this, Stang5litre's ROM, the now-discontinued-I-think EchoeROM and...that's it?)
I'm running it on the US Cellular G935R4 variant and it seems fine (I've had 935V and 935U firmwares on this phone with no issues in the past, so I didn't anticipate any problems anyway). I did hit one early snag when the installer refused to continue due to lack of space - only around 175mb available in /system out of the required 460-some or whatever it is. Once I went back and deleted enough junk to make room, I was basically good to go.
I have noticed the following (non-major) "issues":
1). The Sony apps are almost all "outdated" and will request you to download updates from the Play Store. No big deal, but figured I'd mention it. By and large the apps update smoothly and without any problems...
2). Except for the Xperia Home launcher itself. The bundled version here is 10.2.A.3.0 and works fine, but is missing features like a pull-up app drawer, so you'll probably want a newer build. The launcher doesn't seem to have a built-in update trigger like the other Sony apps though, so you'll need to search it out yourself - only you'll find that the Play Store doesn't think you have Xperia Home installed. If you try to hit Install anyway, it'll download and fail with a 505 error. Solution? What worked for me was loading Aptoide, where I found "Xperia Arc Launcher" listed in my available updates. No idea what the "Arc" version is or what the difference is - it isn't in the Google Play Store as far as I can tell, and my phone still only lists it as "Xperia Home" - but whatever, this one installs and took me to version 11.2.A.0.3. (FWIW, the version in the Play Store that fails to install seems to actually be a bit older than what I found on Aptoide, and is listed as 11.0.A.0.8)
3). The "Album" app requests an update (which can be ignored). The bundled version of Album is 8.2.A.0.8 and seems to work fine. Following the request within the app takes you to the Play Store and installs v8.6.A.0.4, which - at least on my device - attempts to open but always freezes and force closes. I've tried clearing data/cache before/after updating but get the same result. (The update suggested by Aptoide is the same version, so no luck there this time.)
4). Here's a somewhat bigger issue, but this one might very well be isolated to my device - as in mine personally, not the USCC variant - because....I dunno, just seems screwy. The Xperia keyboard isn't working at all. Version 8.0.A.0.100 is bundled. I can see the Xperia Keyboard listed when I click on Manage Keyboards under input settings, but it's greyed out and unselectable. Play Store updates you to 8.0.A.0.110 but same result. Anyway, what seems weird to me is that the Samsung keyboard (which is the one in use) also appears greyed out, leading me to suspect something screwy on my end. Maybe not, I dunno.

Anyway, these are all tiny quirks at worst, I'm just mentioning them to offer a full report/critique. Otherwise this is neat, and I hope there's more in the future, not just from this project but hopefully it will inspire others and remind them that a locked bootloader doesn't mean we can't do *anything* with these devices. Let's see more FlashFire-capable ROMs/Mods/whatever the hell you want to call 'em!
* ETA: So I got the Xperia Keyboard working by just freezing/disabling the Samsung Keyboard, at which point a dialog from XKB instantly popped up asking to download the English-language dictionary pack and the XKB was now default and working fine. I defrosted the Samsung KB and it seems that the Xperia KB is still active and in control for now at least.

Hey mate, no updates yet. Been real busy with life...
It's the time of year lol i did manage to test some of the blackberry stuff, and it seems to work really well on our device
Some of the HTC stuff is a bit flakey, but I think it's the older versions tho...
