Is Lollipop 5.0.1 safe to flash on D838? - LG G Pro 2

I am confused, some say OK, some say NOT OK, can'tc even make call and SMS.
What is true?
Go or NOGO?
I am having a D838,
which ROM to flash?

The Drake rom is good and you can make calls and sms there is no issues. But I would suggest to stay away from any lollipop roms at the moment as I am not able to revert to Kitkat even after trying so hard.

Nexus 5 Unable to make use of Lollipop?

Hey guys, I'm having some crazy issues with my nexus 5..
So I'm not new to flashing, how to properly flash/ect, but no I do not know how to logcat When all else fails i fully wipeout the phone and flash factory and then reflash to whatever rom.
Anyways this is the issue:
When installing any lollipop roms save for pure white lollipop rom (I think it was pure white..something like that...) I can send texts for about 2 hours but then I'm unable to send/recieve any more texts for the duration that I have the rom on my phone. I mean ANY lollipop rom.
So it must be a radio problem right?
Tried flashing the radio I know works KTU84Q (4.4.4 Release 2) / KTU84 P.
Clean flash w/radio = NO SIM
Dirty flash w/radio = NO SIM

Wipe phone and install ANY KitKat rom:
Everything works perfectly.
Anyone have any ideas? I'd like to really use lollipop because that's where all the development is heading..but it just seems that if I do use it..I won't be able to text or do anything aside from hangouts wifi :/
*EDIT* I've double/triple/quadruple checked my apn settings are correct.
Carrier: T-Mobile.
Does it work on stock L images?

Need a suggestion on a 4.4.4 rom

I can't wait for the Bluetooth fix anymore.
I decided to revert to kk but I don't know what to install.
Can you help me?
And I probably need the reflash firmware right?
How hard is it to choose a ROM for yourself? Yes you need to make sure you flash the right firmware and modem.
When I come back to KK I always flash SlimSaber but it really is a personal opinion.
in the worst case - you don't like the ROM so you flash another one in a matter of minutes. (believe me there are days when I flash 3-5 ROMs.)

Flashing a kitkat rom on lollipop

Flash the rom. That's about it. I've been running Cleanrom 3.0 for over a month now using the the firmware that came with the 5.0.1 update. Haven't had any trouble at all. Nothing's ever certain with these phones but generally, what works on one M8 will work another M8.
I tried bone stock and your cleanrom 3.0 bone stock failed and clean Rom flashed successfully but was stuck at a white screen with green HTC after boot then when I went to restore viper I didn't have signal until I rebooted for the third time which scared the pee outa me lol ! Am I missing something ? Maybe a bad download ?
Don't know what to tell you. I was running cleanrom 4 at the time I went back. I just flashed the rom. Kept the lollipop firmware though with one exception. I'm running the radio from 4.4.4. I had flashed it while I was on lollipop due to connection problems I was having at the time.
If it doesn't work for you I guess I'd flash the 4.4.4 firmware first, then flash the rom. Strange how something works on one phone and not the next. Android.

I'm just a impatient tard I tired it again this morning after posting and put the phone down long enough to make coffee and came back to a functional Rom ! Thank you for entertaining me lol ! And for your cleanrom suggestion I actually like it (I'm a AOSP fan man)
Yeah, that first boot can take a while. Glad it worked out for you in the end.

Default ROM?

I've tried a handful of Nougat roms now, and I keep having the same issue with all of them: no call, text, or data. I've tried a few mods that are supposed to fix the issue, and even a ROM where, in the aroma settings, it gave me an option to fix the issue. I'm not sure as to where the point of failure is, but I think it's just an issue with this model of phone in particular. The Marshmallow ROM I currently have is having some issues with app compatibility, so if anyone knows how to flash back to the stock firmware, I'd greatly appreciate it.

You cant really unroot because of the knox bug. You can flash back stock firmaware via odin and get recovery and flash the latest super su so the bug will be gone or flash a custom kernel.
N-DroidMod v6

I kind of have the same issue, except I can text and have mobile data. I just can't hear calls, and no one can hear me during calls.
I have note 5 SM-N920T, and I am using the N-DroidMod v6 custom ROM (it changed my model number to SM-n920c). I can't tell which kernel will fix the issue, and is compatible with the ROM.
Can you help?

That's the audio bug, try to look in the thread for the audio patch where you flash. Usually provided by the developer if not then you may need to change to another rom that has that patch or a rom that was made for the t mobile version.
