Hello XDA Community,
I found a random file named .handlersu in my Ringtones folder, does anyone have any experience with this or know what it may be?
A hidden file in my Ringtones folders seems very suspicious to me.
When I searched Google, it seems that someone else also found this curious file:

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Converted into a text file it reads:
¬ísrjava.lang.Long;‹äÌ#ßJvaluexrjava.lang.Number†¬•”à‹xpJ×b›T
I've attached the file but I'd say be careful as I don't know whether or not it's harmful
Additional info: Nexus 4, 4.4.4 Custom ROM (Mahdi 2.9 Final). This file is NOT part of the ROM, as I've reflashed upon discovering it.
I wouldn't think so. To me its a marker of SuperSU or your SuperUser. Please post in [HELP THREAD] nexus4 Ask any question.
so that the experts for your device may be able to chime in.

Hi,
Can someone please check if you have Android System [UID] in your list of Root Permissions?
I just reloaded the stock rom and one of the permission request that popped up is Android System [UID]. : system_user_1000
I can't seeing this before...
This is normal? I've got Xposed Installed, in case that matters.

I am getting this on my Galaxy s 3 all of the sudden too. My note 10.1 however doesn't ask this. I wish someone had an answer
Are you using Stock ROM on your S3?
I have a Tesla 6.3, it's budget phone that is not really popular. I've been trying to install a custom ROM and I'm constantly running into problems. First of all I want to get TWRP custom recovery but my phone isn't on their website. I just find it a little hard to believe that out of all those phones mine is not supported. Is there any way around this?
Here is a picture with the info about my phone that might be needed:

* BONUS QUESTION *
I've noticed that the ROM (I guess that's what it is) I have on my phone is used on a lot of cheap, budget phones and it looks old, but my phone has Android 7.0. Does it have a name and why is it used on those type of phones? (some pictures of it):

Thanks for your help.
welp i can't post any pictures for some reason and i don't know how to delete this thread, sorry about that
I have searched the forums and could not find the appropriate category to post this in, hence posting in General.
I got an MXQ Pro 4K device, and upon hooking it up, i could see that a few applications could not be installed. Said it needed the latest version of Android. Going into settings, it shows me 7.1, but i am unable to install basic apps - they say i need 4.1 or higher.
That brings me to my next question, i think i have identified the chip as RW? (maybe i am wrong - i have been googling all day getting more confused). Could anyone tell me if there is a latest firmware or an Android update available for this device. I have absolutely NO idea where to start or how to begin looking for software etc.
I have attached the images of the motherboard and also a screenshot of the 'About device' on screen. Please help! Appreciate in advance.

Hey everyone, I made a stupid decision to try and repartition without any prior knowledge and I made a really dumb mistake.
Without looking up that it was Nexus 7 thread and not Nexus 5 thread, I installed these zip files through TWRP:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Which are posted in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...on-extra-space-for-rom.3599907/#post-76278047
Due to the dumb mistake, I can no longer install system.img through ADB because I receive this error:
Is there any way that my phone can be saved?
Thanks.

You can do a new and larger repartition (or try to restore stock one) with just one simple terminal command, if you install this TWRP.
Hey there, i just read this on a rom thread for an old device. That RR rom is old, from 2018, so i'm not sure if it's doing it with other version/on other phone BUT when reading this it reminded be at that period I HAD TWO SDCARD that became read-only, so unusable/dead basically. Made a lot of research back then and tried many things but no luck.
The reading i had today says "an app could fix the affected sdcards" however the person couldn't recall the app name. Anyway, i'd like to hear from people who had such stories & fixes?
How is the write-protection tab on SD-card set?
