Want to Theme Entire System on Xperia Z3 - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just what the titles says, but I have no idea which files that I need to modify to do this. Could some one please let me know which files or APK's that I'm going to need in the system to do this? I want to make it all dark and will even make several color schemes for everyone.

[REQ] Modify Application - Last Call Widget

I would like to use this Widget again but simply cant stand for any background to it, as it doesn't then fit the rest of my simple no background widgets. I tried pulling the apk apart myself and editing the PNG files to be transparent but then I could not get the apk to install nor did pushing it to my device work at all.
If someone can tell me how to modify the apk or modify it for me, I'd be very appreciative.
I emailed the Dev of this and have not gotten a response about adding a transparent background option so that is why I am here now asking for help. Thanks.

So you can see what Last Call looks like I have attached a screen, I believe it is an issue with editing the .9 file. I can't figure out how to do it correctly, ugh..
No one eh? Does anyone think it's just a matter of figuring out how to edit these .9 files and I should be ok no need to resign the package? I Wish the dev would help out here, I'd gladly throw em ten spot for just changing the image background.
I've added a transparent style to the Widget (was a little bit more complicated to implement in practice than it sounds).
For future reference, nine-patch files are altered by the Android build system during compilation making it more difficult for a third party to make the changes described. Hope it suits your home screen.

Change the default orange highlight color

Android seems to prefer orange color. It's used in highlight focused edit control. Also, in Gingerbread it's used to indicate you scroll to top/bottom.
How do I change the color, I really don't like it and want something bluish.
Thanks!
I have been wondering this for a while too! Anyone know?
Would interrest me too...
No one knows???
List selector resource ... but it is in the os applications which you cannot access without rout access
I have root but don't completely understand what u mean. Could you add a little detail please
Thanks in advance
From what I know resource are located in /system/framework/framework-res.apk.
Now you have to Disassemble this apk , modify the png's you are interested in , reassemble the apk an copy back to phone.
Now .. disassemble/assemble you can use apk-tool.
You should search for list_selector_background_focus.9.png and other list_selector....png modify those .
I don't know how to copy the reassembled apk back to the phone as I don't have a rooted phone and can't guarantee it will work, but if there are no other replies from more experienced users ... you can give it a try
Youll find the images in framework-res.apk/res/drawable-mdpi.
If your new to Modding and the like I'd advise apk-manager.It uses apk-tool but is more user friendly and will allow you to push(copy) the edited framework. There's a link for it in my sig.
Hope this helps.
Find a ROM, metamorph or Theme you like and apply it. Quickest and easiest solution!

[Q] Some help with making themes?

Let me preface this by saying I am a noob at theming, but wanted to give it a whack. I did some research and asked questions and made some progress until I hit a brick wall. I am on a stock based ROM and that makes a big difference.
So I pulled the framework and sytemui apk's. I de-compiled these and made made the changes I wanted and that's when the ish hit the fan. Apparently there is no way to re-compile the stock ASUS apk's.
So now how to I go about making these changes if I can not re-compile the apk's? Is there a work around or do I need to change the files in another way? Can I change the regular png files or do I need to use the .9 png files? Any help or pointers is appreciated. I am still learning this stuff. I learned how to batch change colors which helped immensely.

Help for theming ;)

Hi everyone! I need some help to make some theming on my Taoshan and if it's done i will share it to you
So, like in the pictures i'd like to change these buttons and backgrounds. I decompile these png's and I know where to put it but don't know where and how to change the colors and size. I search the threads over and over again, but no luck. (Like: [TUT][JB] How to theme SystemUI.apk for totally newbie, and [Guide] Want to learn how to theme?, and some others) The really big problem is that I canT find those values that I have to edit, even I decompile the SystemUI.apk fine (I have all the folders and xml's).
What I really wanna do is that achieve a stock android ui with those fine simple icons (the buttons sequence dosn't matter, but it will be great, and if I be able to add some more... :fingers-crossed, 'cause I really like it (with holo blue or grey), like in the Slim rom that I used on my Xperia Neo.
So anyone can help me pls respond
I know something about photoshop and designing so maybe it will be a greater project

[Q] stock tweaks...

hello!
Was wondering if there was a way, or an app/hack available to tweak some small ui elements w/out root...
Love my phone, but there are a few things that I don't like at all and want to change, such as some of the colors (ie. on calender)
Stock system, not rooted (yet =]
huawei G610-U200
There are stock themes on the phone, but they don't change the system ui itself, just icons and such (should these themes change other elements as well? My old htc themes did. If so, them maybe that would do the trick- but they are not changing system colors etc.
btw, any chance thre will be a dedicated forum to this phone any time soon?
Also, if and when I do decide to root, I want to make sure there are some solid roms/kernels avail. for this model- so far I have not found much-
Does anyone know of any out there besides MIUI?
Thanks.

XBlast tools may help. But root is needed at first to install xposed framework.
