Hello all!
Changed my Motorola Defy for an Xperia Active, the ear-speaker problem x3 times in 5 months made me to lay down hope on a solid and sturdy phone by Motorola... Otherwise a good phone...
Now I want to root and tweak my SE Active and wonder if there is any "how-to" on the net, cant seem to find anything and rooting it as the other Xperia devices doesn´t work apparently, at least not for me... ;(
Any suggestions, links is warmly appreciated mates.

It is in my understanding that rooting this phone is impossible at the time being, too early it seems...
Not even able to root it here: http://unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com/instructions

wanna know that. Sold my Mini Pro and love the new Active but would love to root it to get rid of some junk

Exactly, I think the interface is pretty much ok, its just this "some" (a lot) of junk that has to go...Would like to clock it too and under-volt it.
Cant really see the need to install CyanogenMod on this phone as I did on my Defy, nor do I use my Launcher Pro.

Looked all over the web for info on rooting SE Xperia Active. Found none.
Has anybody ever attempted to root Xperia Active? It's been on the market for a while now...

Wouldn't the rooting procedure be the same for mini pro and active?
ZergRush Exploit works on Gingerbread devices inludes all Xperia 2011 and the bootloader can be locked for the root

So, does anyone know is there any kind of custom ROMs or cyanogenmod for SE Xperia Arc S? If no, will it maybe be (in future)?
And, are all ROMs for Arc compatible with Arc S? Is it safe to flash them on Arc S?

Hi guys, I`m an new user and I`m starting my knologe about Android, so I have some questions about the procedure to Install CM10 on my device. I read many posts at the forum, but i got a little confused about the way I might procede.
-Fist of all my device is a Sony Xperia Arc S (X12) Lt18a, but all the information for rooting and installing CM10 are for the Lt18i, Does it make any diference, because i know that the frequecies are diferent, and i`m afraid my cellphont stop working here on Brasil.
-Second, i`m confused about what i might do first, i might root or flash my device?
My android is:4.0.4 ans version number is 4.1.B.0.431.

I own Xperia Ion (LT28h) and the Inbuilt application for BACK UP and RESTORE was there, I used it and while the taking backup the application asked for the PASSWORD.. Guess what, i've forgot that password and i want that back up back there were some office files, numbers, photos almost very detail of phone..
please give another way to restore them or how to break the password (my phone is rooted already..)

May I suggest you ask in the device specific forum for the Ion Xperia S, Acro S, Ion Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting!
Although if you have forgotten the password I'm afraid there will be very limited, if anything, you can do.
Hello guys, I have a question for you. Can Samsung Sidesync app be "made" to work with our Sony phones ? My phone is not rooted, but I can change this quickly if it's needed. I need a lot this Samsung's feature, but I'm not ready to sale my awesome Z3 just because of Sidesync. Can it be somehow made through custom ROM or something alike ? Thanks in advance and sorry if I choosed the wrong section.
