[Q] Xperia active, rooting? - General Questions and Answers

Hello all!
Changed my Motorola Defy for an Xperia Active, the ear-speaker problem x3 times in 5 months made me to lay down hope on a solid and sturdy phone by Motorola... Otherwise a good phone...
Now I want to root and tweak my SE Active and wonder if there is any "how-to" on the net, cant seem to find anything and rooting it as the other Xperia devices doesn´t work apparently, at least not for me... ;(
Any suggestions, links is warmly appreciated mates.
Thanks in advance.

...Thanks...

It is in my understanding that rooting this phone is impossible at the time being, too early it seems...
Not even able to root it here: http://unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com/instructions

Also
wanna know that. Sold my Mini Pro and love the new Active but would love to root it to get rid of some junk

Exactly, I think the interface is pretty much ok, its just this "some" (a lot) of junk that has to go...Would like to clock it too and under-volt it.
Cant really see the need to install CyanogenMod on this phone as I did on my Defy, nor do I use my Launcher Pro.

Looked all over the web for info on rooting SE Xperia Active. Found none.
Has anybody ever attempted to root Xperia Active? It's been on the market for a while now...

Wouldn't the rooting procedure be the same for mini pro and active?

ZergRush Exploit works on Gingerbread devices inludes all Xperia 2011 and the bootloader can be locked for the root

That's great to know. Thanks

[Q] xperia x10a rooting

Ok I need some sound advice here. I am currently an iphone user but I want to switch to android. It just so happens my younger brother has a x10a which he is willing to trade with me. We are both on the AT&T network. My questions are how easy is it to root the phone so to say? Also I have heard I need to load a sideloader? Ugh, iphone hacking was so much easier. HELP!!!!!
I think the flashtool is best tool, if you have pc.
One click root applications (z4root etc) don't work any longer.
find one click root app on xperia x10 forum android develop topics
Would recommend FlashTool, its a simple all in one solution. Just do a search for it on XDA forum.

[Q] Rsap on xperia x10 mini pro

Hi all,
this is my first post here!
I joined the forum mostly because I'd like very much to be much more good to manage my cell...
The first question I am asking is about Rsap... is it possible, thanks to your developments (gingerbread OS for xperia x10 mini pro) use it on my phone?
Is there a HW issue about it?

Yes! it can be... I have also X10 mini pro and its running gingerbread...
there are a lot of tutorials posted her on how to do it...
don't be afraid that you might brick your phone.. just follow all the steps and instructions and you will be successful.
Probably I wasn't clear enough...
I already installed gingerbread on my x10 mini pro, the point is about the rsap installation.
I don't understand if there is an HW issue about it or if it is likely to be developed in the next future...

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. It doesn't appear that there is a root method for your device. But you might want to follow this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/xperia-z3v-general/lose-getting-root-t3074678 And keep a close eye in here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3
Good luck and welcome to XDA. And no donation, please.

Hi, im a new member to this forum and im actually tryna find some help on how to root my xperia S (lt26i) phone. Im running the 4.1.2 version and although i found some guides, they are all made with different ways. I need some help on how can i root the phone because i have completely no idea about this stuff. I dont even know what means ice cream sandwitch, jellybean, kittkat, flashtool, Bootloader, kernel and all these terms i just wanna root this phone for better usage.
