Ok, so this is my story. I dropped my phone and my touchscreen didn't so I tried to replace the digitizer myself but I cracked my lcd while doing it but it still would turn on and charge and everything but the screen is just messed up. And so 1 day later after the phone shuts off because of no battery, I try to charge it but a red solid light (on the bottom) only appeared (and nothing appeared on the screen this time) and so I unplugged it and replugged it but then no red light appeared this time (on the bottom) and nothing showed up on the screen (even though my lcd was broken, I would usually see strange patterns). So now my question is, did I break the battery while trying to remove the digitizer because of the heat gun I used was too hot or is it that phone phone is bricked now

today in the morning, my friend dropped my moto x (1st gen) into the pool, and almost immediately he pulled out. he tapped it so many times to pull water out of it. he blew into it. then i noticed hes doing something with my moto x. i realized that there was a water drops inside the camera ring. i got scared n i started tapping and blowing too. after an hour, i plugged a usb cable into it coz it wasn't switching on. as soon as i plugged usb charger it switched on. all functions were normal. water gone. but as i unplugged the usb it suddenly switched off. thereafter same thing is happening. it gets on only when plugged usb into it. n one notification is there from that time "The commserver has started" where all other tests are there like camera, LED etc. please please please help me.. What should i do?

Hi,
Unfortunately, not turning the device off immediately and leaving if off for a couple days in a bag of rice....probably means your device has damage now. Power running through it when wet shorts out circuits.
Chances are there's one or more components damaged and even if you replace one component, you may very well find there's still other issues.
You can ask for opinions in your device section here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/moto-x-qa
But opinions will probably be similar to what I've said.
Good luck!

Hi all I have a nexus 4 that up until last week was problem free. I had 5.0 lollipop installed and decided to revert back to 4.2.2 which I followed via one of the instructions out there. I didnt notice much difference with 4.2.2 so i proceeded to keep updating one at a time as the ota updates came to my phone. I did notice though that my phones battery seemed to get worse and worse for life..So i finally got to 4.3 and I had charged my phone up went home after work and went to bed a few hours later I hear a text message sound I went to get phone and it was saying battery only 13% so i plugged it in and phone shut off on its own...I tried to start it back up and all of a sudden red light of death came on so i left it went back to bed a few more hours of charging I thought it was good but no go. I quickly found the supposed fix to pull battery and it will reset phone.. Pulled it apart pulled battery connector and reconnected still no start. Check battery voltage found only 2.8 volts tried found again and still no go just red light. Totaly pulled phone apart mother board display camera etc hoping that somehow the static charge in chips will clear red light fault..even let it sit overnite. Still no go read somewhere about boosting battery with 5vdc connected it up boosted bad and checked it it went up to 3.3volts....Put back into phone and away she went....So I ordered a new battery and waiting for it to come. So i want to go back to lollipop and now when i plug it into my comp It doesnt see it and I cant load drivers Ive read how many posts here and tried numerous fixes but no go even 2 diferent computers.... I have my wireless turned on all the time hoping to get 5.0 OTA update but thats not happening either starting to wonder if i have a bad motherboard or something thats caused the battery to fail....Done factory reset a million times and cant unlock bootloader...since comp doesnt see it.....Was wondering if somehow i can use airdroid to load bootloader unlock on my phone and unlock it like adb flashboot does in windows? thanks :crying:

First of all, hello.
as this is my first post on this forum, dont give me a hard time i really need help with this phone.
I bought it recently, without battery
Than i bough battery two days later, orginal one but not new one. First two days it just kep showing invalid battery, please insert orginal battery and than it just stopped. I can power on the device and it works perfectly while screen is on, when i press the lock screen button after a couple of seconds it turns off and starts booting again. Same thing while on charger, but when connected to a pc its works perfectly. I just dont understand this. I took it apart, no water damage, didnt even fall once, i think its the cellphone but i am not sure as i dont have another battery to test it or money to get a new one they are expensive in croatia, about 40$. I would really like to get this phone working. tried diffrent usb cables, diffrent ac adapters, lock button didnt stuck even once, but the charging time is really bad too. all night got him to 89%, is it possible that maybe battery isnt giving him enough juice to turn the screen on again after a lock? i just dont know anymore tried everything and help would be great. Thanks in advance!

Hello, everybody. I have my Galaxy Tab 2 bricked. It's been lagging for the last few months and one day just turned off. I tried to turn it on, use different combinations like vol up + power and so on, but nothing happened - the screen is totally black as the Black Hole. Nothing happens too, when I plug in the charger (even for 24+ hours). I tried to connect in to my PC, and sometimes I see in the corner of my pc's screen, that unknown device is connected. It lasts for about 3 seconds, and then I see "disconnection" window. I had cyanogen 12 on the board. Gonna be very grateful for help. Sorry for my poor English.)

On the contrary, your English is good - (much) better than some English-speaking people I run into on Facebook
