[DISCUSS] [GT-S5302] AOSP ROM for Galaxy Y Duos Lite

WELCOME!​Here we are discuss talk about AOSP ROM for Pocket Duos S5302
Actually I've been porting CyanogenMod 7.2 TezTaz si Rama without CM kernel and it's almost stable
bugs remains is Sim card not detected, Bluetooth and IMEI.
I think it's causes kernel and i wish somebody will build a CM kernel for pocket duos

Where to find source for kernel or rom provided by Samsung ?
where are they available ??
I hv googled it a lot ! Still not found ...

Do u have a working cm11 tree? If yes then building aosp is a piece of cake.

nopes bro, i haven't try cm10+ on pocket duos cz there is no kernel for those CM and i'm not sure it will booted with stock kernel
i've been try CM7 and CM9 and it's booted with stock kernel but it's give some bugs likes bluetooth and sim card not detected
so btw do u know how to fix simcard not detected?
i think bluetooth is kernel problem

Yes usually bluetooth and wifi modules are loaded onto kernel. Simcard not detected is a ril issue. Ril issues are usually present in device tree or hardware/samsung folder in git. I am not much of a bug fixer. Try contacting ur device devs. I am sure they will help u out.

I hv already cheacked that but it has some versions like South-West etc. Hence got confused, coz what can be the difference between kernels ??

yeah, there is no one can help me out. i've been try to contact other devs from other devices but still no solutions and i've been try to replace the ril file with ril file from stockrom but it's only fix battery status

it's just different firmware region. for example india is DDMB1 and russia is XXLJ3 but it's same. our device is cori_ds instead of cori. and if you want to build a CM kernel use from GB source instead of ICS source because it won't work. there is no ICS firmware for our device

@v_superuser here is some 4.4.2 roms for Galaxy star pro ( I don't tested it ! )

Star pro us similar to our s duos (both have cortex a5 processor. I think we can take the rom parts from the above links ( I am not sure the links for kitkat or not . I founded it from Google . Forgive me if the links are wrong) .

Oh dude , I am not talking about the star pro rom for us . It's only a suggestion for v_superuser to fix the lib files . I am talking about the from parts only .
Secondly I reaplaced lib files with my stock , ace 2x (already) and an unknown lib of cm9(I know there is no cm9 for s duos . I just checked the processor & the CPU almost compatible for s duos . My bro. Searched it for me) from the Google .

So, I see that we're trying to implement a working RIL from another device, which should have Dual-Sim and should have the same chipset as our S Duos, and should also have a working build of Cyanogenmod 11. So, even though, Samsung Galaxy Star Pro has a similar chipset, it's not the same. It doesn't have the Adreno 200 GPU, 512 MB RAM, 2 MP of camera. Other than that, it doesn't even have a Cyanogenmod 11 avalible according to Google. So if Google can't find it, nobody can, right? :laugh:. I think RIL is the only thing @v_superuser wants to fix for now. Other than that, I think he can port almost everything from Galaxy Ace II X. In fact you can even flash a Cyanogenmod 11 build made for Ace II X in an S Duos, and it will work, except RIL. So that's our biggest issue, and Galaxy Star Pro nor Ace II X can help us

Can I flash a Chinese region rom on my Indian based devices ??? I know frequencies of network varries according to countries.
Please tell me about that and if it has any problem also tell me how to solve it .

I tried, but it will not flash anything else after recovery, it will stuck after that step. so i flashed my baseband back.

I think u can, because i am in Bulgaria, but i was with Greece rom.Everything was OK.

Here is the link of the ROM.

So i tried the ROM. WIFI does not work. I did a clean install. Then i flashed the stock rom from odin and then installed CMW and installed the ROM again still wifi was not working. Any ideas on how to fix it.

I thought you said you gonna use it as a base to add some mods, I never thought you will flash it to your phone
Try flashing your stock kernel according to your device. What is your S4 exact model?

my model number is i9515. I wanted to make sure the ROM was working fine before i started adding mods.

flash your stock modem.bin and NON-HLOS.bin, that should solve your problem.

I have the stock ROM. I extracted the modem.bin and NOH-HLOS.bin from the tar file. but this is not a compitable format for flashing with odin

Where can I find a copy of the stock ROM? I have been searching without much success. I committed a cardinal sin by flashing the I9500 rom onto my I9515 VE. I really don't know how to recover things.

i finnaly got a custom rom to build based on stock firmware for the T230 i need some testers who are not afraid of maybe bricking the tablet.
WARNING:
I do think you can install T230 Roms also on the T230NU but you will lose the use of the IR blaster (when flashing back to stock rom with odin for T230NU ir blaster is working again) BUT YOU CAN BETTER WAIT FOR T230NU ROM

Seems like it's installing nothing. Not even deleting/rewriting the content of /system. Also my TWRP (2.8.0.1) reboots while installation.

This is taken from boot.img fstab and should work for mount points.

I don't know if it's an error with the ROM or if I made a mistake but I could not enter TWRP until reinstalling it after installing the zip.
The ROM itself boots without problems/FCs/errors.

testing rom failed
it started ok without md5 checking and then got bout 10 seconds in and gave me blue writing then reboot tab and it stuck booting........
