[Q] GT-i9105

It's weird.I thought the nfc n non nfc rom are different. In the mist of testing the pac man rom,i discovered that it can boot and function as mentioned,which is weird cause it supposed to work on the i9105p version. So i downloaded the rom made by skullface(cm10),again to my surprise,it work as well,with the same function and issue with i9105p version. I haven't tried the panda's rom though,cause i suspect that's when my luck end So what really different between I9105 and i9105P 's ROM?
(ps: to other i9105 users,pls dont try it,i won't guarantee what will happen)

P version has NFC and I also saw something different in init scripts (/bin/RescueStarter). But that should be the only difference between those models.

No, differentiate. Continue making rom for I9105P so if you flash to P you will have nfc if you flash to non P you won't have nfc. If you do the reverse P won't have nfc

Hi, I repaired my XL!!!
And I port 4.3 for our Xperia L.
It's only alpha so much isn't working.

I didn't test it. But I also launched 4.2 from Xperia M and multitouch worked the same way.
I think that multitouch driver located in the kernel.

Nice work:good: Is this 4.3 stable? Can be used as a daily rom?
EDIT: oh, sorry, now i see non-working list. I will try it ASAP when Radio module will be fixed.

did u try graphics fix of KitKat it might work

Wow, really good to see someone ported it. I thought most things will work as they nearly the same.
Also I think I know why there's problem with internal storage. Both XM and XSP have only one partition for user data and apps but our XL have two partitions. One for apps and one for user data. If we repartition it maybe all 5.5 GB will be available for us without patching it in order to work.

You have to copy all stuff from internal to your SD. I've don't know how to do it on XL, it was done on XT.

Yee, your right. As in FTF there's partition file which partition the phone memory's.

No radia is a issue related to baseland version. So you need to update baseland from xperia M(port it) to get gsm.

I thing that there is no chance to port baseband,because it's closed source. Correct me if I'm wrong.
So we need to make it to work with our baseband. I really want to try to help with porting this rom , but I'm using my XL as main phone so I need it fully working

Cant we flash only baseband from flashtool
i know we can do this so whose up for testing?
EDIT: As the rom is ported one it might have the baseband of xperia m and thats why RIL is not working
And i'm far from internet now (Using a 2G connection) still someone of you can try to flash the baseband of xperia l using flashtool

I will try it downloading the Rom now xD
EDIT: Rom isnt starting up only a Bluescreen appears an then it tunrs off

Reboot again.If it not working just reflash,but this time format "system" from recovery,because updater-script will not do it automatically(missed command).
P.S.-I think that baseband files are placed in other partition,not in system.You can try to flash baseband from stock XL ftf,but I'm pretty sure that this will not work.

whats up guys..so now we have the car kernel thanks to Varun..appreciate ur work btw..I think devs can now start working on the Miui Roms..and why don't make it official we know that some developer are working with omni ROM secs so I hope somebody will be the xl maintainer in Miui..our device is worthy of having all good Roms..

I have tried to port the MIUI V6 from Nexus 5 rom but without success till this moment. It just get stuck on the boot screen. Will try to solve the issue and will share the update if I achieve any?

appreciate all efforts dude hope someone can help u..all I can give u is moral support which we need it for devs in this community

You can not expect STABLE MIUI unless we have a full stable AOSP/CM
Once we have one stable ROM from any of above, I think we can have other ROMS as well. Also, the CAF kernel needs to be fully stable.
Once both of them are fixed, I am sure we will see some new roms at Xperia L forum

I am trying to do that as it would be lot easier. But I don't see any other devices in which miui V6 is ported. Please share me the device name and link if you find any.

I prefer porting MIUI but will try to port Lewa OS in the mean time. Thanx for the link.
Though i doubt it will boot as its on android version 4.1.2.

Don't forget to replace our 4.1 kernel's BOOTCLASSPATH with LewaOS's bootclasspath (if available) to make it bootable :good:

What's up guys..is there any news about anyone working on miui..we now have official cm and omni..it's all good but i think miui is the most unique one it seems like a different os..hope that there is someone workin on it

Miui source code has been released on GitHub back in December, so it's definitely possible to port it. It's also KitKat based.

i'm too trying to build it from redmi 1s rom after completion i'm having build and update script and build prop of armani(redmi 1s ) i don't know why its building armani instead of taoshan .i have built the rom using android kitchen followed every step carefully .
i have selected taoshan zip first then redmi's rom which i was trying to port finally i'm finishing with armani build .

Star pro us similar to our s duos (both have cortex a5 processor. I think we can take the rom parts from the above links ( I am not sure the links for kitkat or not . I founded it from Google . Forgive me if the links are wrong) .

Oh dude , I am not talking about the star pro rom for us . It's only a suggestion for v_superuser to fix the lib files . I am talking about the from parts only .
Secondly I reaplaced lib files with my stock , ace 2x (already) and an unknown lib of cm9(I know there is no cm9 for s duos . I just checked the processor & the CPU almost compatible for s duos . My bro. Searched it for me) from the Google .

So, I see that we're trying to implement a working RIL from another device, which should have Dual-Sim and should have the same chipset as our S Duos, and should also have a working build of Cyanogenmod 11. So, even though, Samsung Galaxy Star Pro has a similar chipset, it's not the same. It doesn't have the Adreno 200 GPU, 512 MB RAM, 2 MP of camera. Other than that, it doesn't even have a Cyanogenmod 11 avalible according to Google. So if Google can't find it, nobody can, right? :laugh:. I think RIL is the only thing @v_superuser wants to fix for now. Other than that, I think he can port almost everything from Galaxy Ace II X. In fact you can even flash a Cyanogenmod 11 build made for Ace II X in an S Duos, and it will work, except RIL. So that's our biggest issue, and Galaxy Star Pro nor Ace II X can help us

I tried, but it will not flash anything else after recovery, it will stuck after that step. so i flashed my baseband back.

I think u can, because i am in Bulgaria, but i was with Greece rom.Everything was OK.

Hi, I am porting DN4 rom of i9300 to i9305 I replaced kernel and edited updater script. The rom bootup:laugh: but getting baseband no imei issue and random reboots please help me how to get rid of it.

DN4 and other 4.4.4 roms like mine don't flash modem, so I suggest to think about that possibility.

i flashed modem.bin from the stock but it still says null imei and unknown baseband and it only happens on roms which are made i9300 so ithin some modules should be changed what do you says??

How will you port DN4 if you don't even know about basics. Go to Q&A section of your device to solve your problem, nothing to do with development.
