Hello everyone, I have recently started to see ads on my phone, they appear every time I want to unlock my apps using pattern unlock.
I have tried using Ad detector apps but found nothing.
I thought the culprit was Nova Launcher, but it isn't.
Can someone please help me identify the app that can cause this?
Your input will be much appreciated.
I have attached images of the ads I'm facing so you have a better understanding.

It looks like your problem is in clean master... Are the ads in any other apps/places? If it's only in clean master, then it's there way of making money, so either ignore the ads, uninstall the app or if you're root, install adaway to get rid of almost every ads on your device (exept youtube ads)
Don't forget to thank me if I was helpful

Hello, Thank you for your input. As you mentioned, It was indeed Clean Master causing the trash to appear on my screen. It has now been removed and the issue is now solved.

hi all, i have been getting some pop up ads on my sensation xe recently (when i get online). i found this directly in my sd card sdcard/joy/popad that contains the ad pix. i tried manually deleting this folder. but whenever i get online, the folder regenerates itself and downloads the ads again.
i also tried scanning the phone with avast and airpush detector but couldn't find its source. can anyone help me to get rid of it? my phone is rooted and has darkforest 5.2.0 installed. thx!

Try this, It may block your ad.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bigtincan.android.adfree&feature=search_result
I personally use this. It's called AdAway:

i already have adaway installed and it didn't block it. i think the way these ad blocking apps work is by blocking website address. but this pop ad in my phone doesn't open any website. instead, it opens up jpg pix it downloaded and stored under the /joy/popad directory. it shows up as an notification when i'm online, even if i'm not browsing the web. that's why adaway failed to catch it.
anyway, i'll give adfree android a try and see if it works or not. but i have a question: will it cause any conflict with adaway (already installed in my phone)? do i need to uninstall adaway first? thx!

You can try to use Lookout Ad detector to see which app is causing this.

just tried it. still couldn't find the source.
I had the same problem. None of the ad blockers worked. In my case I opened the spam advert, which took me to the market. I then selected view more by this developer, and checked what else I had installed by them, I uninstalled and it was sorted. In my case the app was tanks 2012.

Thanks for pointing me towards the way of getting them popads removed! I've had the same problem as you guys and only realized it was due to the Mission Impossible game when I came here.
Google should ban app developers who resort to forced-ads like these

I echo this & i've had unwanted billing by clicking inadvertently clicking on ad's (use perfectapplock & the the time lag in which ad comes up randomly varies in a crafty manner making user click ad by mistake). But tell me does not the ad killer app's what you mention above kill the ad's (in my case I am having issues of ad blocker not working with Rom Toolbox Pro)
try this

One of the better ad blockers in my opinion, even if it has the ugliest interface.

Was just reading thread on Adaway vs Adfree, Yes, I used to use this before I installed ROM Toolbox Pro by JRummy and currently communicating with devlp regarding non functioning of perapp ad blocker within the various apps. He is suggesting using a custom rom to see instead of stock rom. Tried reinstall, changing location of hosts, clear data, nothing worked.
Regarding LP, further to my question above I did read more about it and I rest my question. It goes a step ahead and kills wake locks apparently giving considerable battery boost.
Everybody does not have choice do with third-party aplication cause it will bring new ads to your mobile, there is one good choice if you can change policy security or you can hack your mobile like make ROM or ROTTED your mobile then change system be unread and unwrite or maake yourself firewall to erase all ads output.
I think google give their software without pay cause the ads are pay it with expansive price for development cost.
If i am wrong..... polize me cause i am newbie on android.

This is probably a stupid question but...
I've been trying for the past 3 days to download this app from the Google play store, but it says it's incompatible with my device (Xperia SP).
I've used Market Helper and it didn't work.
I've tried editing my build.prop and it bricked my phone (lol) I recovered it but lost all my contacts
Anyway, I've resorted to sideloading it. The problem is, since I've installed it I'm getting push ad notifications and popups on my home screen, browser etc.
So, is there anything I can download to stop the adware or somehow remove the adware without uninstalling said app?
Thanks

That makes no sense. What do you mean by removing that without uninstalling ? Your statement is self contradictory.
If you are rooted you can freeze that app using Titanium Backup.
Why don't you try AdAway ?

Hi, I mean I want to keep the app but I also want to stop it from putting ads on my phone and notification bar as well.
I just downloaded AdAway and turned off notifications from that app in the settings so hopefully that will work.
Thanks a lot

You are welcome.AdWare is supposed to block and remove ads and notifications on your phone. If you are still getting ads or the app itself is putting ads and notifications then it's not serving the purpose either it's not working or malfunctioning (broken codes).
Is that an Ad-supported app ?If it is,then that's not an issue.AdAway will block those ads.
Hi guys
I've a little problem (in fact it's really big to me).
Recently there were a folder created automatically in the internal memory called "Walkfree"
It has some downloaded apk(s) without my knowledge and after I delete it, it appears again and again and download more and more apk.
How can I stop it please the internet in my country is really slow and this folder is killing it.
Note: I'm not the only one a friend of mine has Xperia p with the same problem
If anyone has an idea please share it
And thanks in advance.
check your installed apps for any suspicious application that you might not have installed yourself. Most probably there will be one like mobogenie or some other.

There are some apps on play store that allow you to do so. Search for 'firewall' and you'll find some that work on non rooted devices too.
I am having a strange problem in my phone, I see ads everywhere, look at the provided photos.
I enabled the ad-blocker from ABS tweaks (Terminal Emulator) with no luck. Not willing to lose any data (if possible).
Thank you.
Someone answer me lol if those ads remain I'll **** this phone up haha
An user app causes this. Check your installed apps recently.

Lmao I deleted all the recently installed apps except for an app which I thought that it's the only one that won't cause the ads problem.
