I'm very sorry. I just saw your message now, months later... Do you need the password yet? I guess nope, but internet is atemporal. I saw your message while googling for the .eslock
Google eslock you will find the information now even though it's a bit late. You have to reverse the hidden md5 hash within the eslock file to recover your password but you have to locate it. Best to encrypt a random file with a known password as a start to find the position.
Eslock file decryption without password
I successfully decoded the eslock file algorithm to decrypt the file and found some major problems in it. This is very first post all over the world about that Es File Lock can be decoded with any password. This is the major foul ES Global have done.
All you have to do is go to the app which is available on play store

ESLock File Recovery is a very strong tool that enables decryption of all your ES Explorer locked files, without using password. So if in case you have forgot your password and left a file locked out by the ES file browser, here is a absolute remedy for you. It assures you a 100% success of decryption.Tools helps you decrypt multiple files also. For more information or queries on this please visit ...

It took me about 48 hours to get what exactly the structure of ES File Explorer Encrypted File (.es lock). ES File Explorer uses AES 256bit to encrypt your data but to increase efficiency of their algorithm in case when user enter wrong password while decryption they used to store a MD5 check sum of password which actually is a foul.
So what i concluded out of that you can do a hack to gain password of any .eslock file which certainly works for every password of shorter length.
Step 1: EXTRACT THE MD5 CHECKSUM OF PASSWORD
To do this you just download this small utility EsLockMD5Extractor .Download it from techackit.blogspot.in
Step 2: REVERSE MD5 HASHING
You can use any website like d5.gromweb.com to get back data from the hash. If your password is short your website will show your password
Don't miss out on any of your important document, video, picture or any file, just because you have forgot password that locks it down. Recover/ unlock it using.

I've seen a large number of posts in the various ROM/Radio threads that indicate to me that many of our users do not know how to check MD5 sums. I wrote this post in the BAMF sense 3.0 thread, but it will be buried there in a matter of minutes. Moderators, i understand this isn't strictly thunderbolt development related, but given the number of questions about this in this forum, I thought this might be appropriate, if you disagree, please move.
On windows use
http://download.cnet.com/MD5-Checker/3000-2092_4-10410639.html
Unzip and launch md5.exe
Copy the MD5 hash sum of the rom you downloaded to your clipboard
{

}
Hit the paste button in the MD5.exe program
Browse to the file you downloaded
If the codes match the box goes green and the text tells you that the codes match.
On Linux;
cd Downloads (assuming Downloads is the path of the file)
md5sum BAMFROMYOUJUSTDOWNLOADED.zip
Check the output of the md5sum command against the has posted in the thread. Also note that the md5sum command on Linux doesn't like special characters such as () / or anything in the rom name. You can rename a file without changing the MD5 hash, so keep this in mind.
Just figured I would mention that if you are doing it on your device you can download hash Droid from the market and do it that way also

On a mac, from the home directory in terminal, you can just type
md5 [drag-and-drop the zip file you downloaded] and hit enter. It will give you your md5sum
Also AFV in the market Android File Verifier works like a charm!

Great guide OP , you're right, this one comes up a lot.
I personally use astro file manager. Navigate to the file, long press and select "Details". Give it a few seconds and it will give you the MD5 checksum .
The previous two posts mentioned AFV and Astro. I had been using AFV with good success. Recently I learned of Astro's ability to extract the MD5 sum in the manner lrs421 mentions. That's the way I've been approaching it of late.
I've not been doing this rooting/flashing thing for long and have yet to have a download come up bad, but when one does, I want to know before I screw up my Bolt with it. So checking MD5 sums is, for me, an essential step.
Thanks to the OP for a good tutorial thread!

Yup. This is the way to go. Astro too but I prefer AFV.
Thanks for this, I've been trying to figure out how to do this.
I've flashed so many roms my buttons are wearing out, and I have never once checked an md5....
Sent from my HTC ThunderBolt using Tapatalk
step 1: get linux, cuz windows sucks
step 2: open a terminal
step 3: type
md5sum (file name) (path to file name) or just drag in the zip to the terminal
step 4: hit enter
theres the md5sum
I've always used FSUM via command line in windows. (just make sure its EXE is in a folder that is part of the windows path (like put the FSUM.EXE in c:\windows)...
When I open a command prompt, I change to the directory with my downloaded file and type FSUM fileyoujustdownloaded.zip and compare the MD5 it generates with what was posted with the download link.
but the util in the OP looks nice and easy.
Estrong's file explorer can do it, too. Properties, Checksum.

I DO NOT ENCOURAGE HACKING OR WHATSOEVER, THIS IS JUST FOR GENERAL INFORMATION
EVER FORGOT ANY ID OR PASSWORD OF AN ID OR AN APP AND FIND IT BORING TO GO THROUGH THE ENTIRE PASSWORD/ID RECOVERY PROCESS...
THERE MIGHT BE INSTANCES WHEN YOUR FRIEND MIGHT HAVE LOGGED IN THROUGH HIS ID ON YOUR PHONE AND YOU WANNA FIND HIS PASSWORD.
THIS GUIDE WILL TELL YOU HOW:
WORKS WITH ALL BROWSERS AND APPS WHICH SAVE PASSWORD'S
WORKS ONLY IF SAVED PASSWORDS ARE NOT CLEARED!!
1.OPEN ROOT EXPLORER
2.GO TO DATA
3.AGAIN OPEN DATA IN DATA FOLDER
4.Eg IF USING STOCK BROWSER, SEARCH FOR A FOLDER "COM.ANDROID.BROWSER"
5.IN THE FOLDER NAVIGATE TO ANOTHER FOLDER CALLED "DATABASES"
6.IN THE DATABASE FOLDER THERE WILL BE A FILE CALLED "WEBVIEW.DB"
7.THAT'S IT! OPEN IT AND HIT ON PASSWORD! AND SCROLL THE SCREEN TO THE LEFT!!

Maybe view passwords bookmarklet can help you out.
Code:
javascript:(function(){var s,F,j,f,i; s = ""; F = document.forms; for(j=0; j<F.length; ++j) { f = F[j]; for (i=0; i<f.length; ++i) { if (f[i].type.toLowerCase() == "password") s += f[i].value + "\n"; } } if (s) alert("Passwords in forms on this page:\n\n" + s); else alert("There are no passwords in forms on this page.");})();

Just figured out the password isn't stored in the webview.db file for Opera Mini for Android app. I deleted the webview.db file and still the email address and password were already filled on websites.

ROOT BLUESTACKS BETA-1 (0.7.2.751)
HEY GUYZ, HERE IS A VERY EASY WAY TO ROOT BLUESTACKS BETA -1, BUT THE ONLY DISADVANTAGE IS THAT IT WORKS FOR ONLY VERSION 0.7.2.751.....
I HAVE TESTED THIS METHOD OF ROOTING AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY FOR ME AND WOULD LIKE TO SHARE IT WITH ALL OF YOU.
THINGS THAT YOU ARE GONNA NEED
1. FILE SPLITTER/JOINER SOFTWARE- DOWNLOAD IT FROM HERE AND INSTALL IT.
2. THREE ROOT FILES THAT YOU HAVE TO JOIN LATER USING THE ABOVE SOFTWARE.
DOWNLOAD THESE THREE. Remember that all the below three files should be in one folder.
ROOT.001
ROOT.002
ROOT.003
The password for the above files is : erbil. Thnx to Riyal for reminding me about the password.
METHOD OF ROOTING
1. Open File Splitter/Joiner Software and select the tab "JOINING" and click on the adjacent button showing "1".
2. Here you need to select the file Root.0.7.2.751.001 i.e. the first file you have downloaded and then click on join button and wait for it to complete.
3. After the completion of the above process, you will find a new Root.0.7.2.751.7z file in the same directory as the part files.
4. Open this and extract the Root.fs and README.txt file.
5. Stop all the BlueStacks processes form the TASK MANAGER
6. Copy the ROOT.FS file to (Windows 7) C:\ProgramData\BlueStacks\Android. OR in (Windows XP) and C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\BlueStacks\Android
7. After this RESTART BlueStacks and you will have the root access.
For sure check it with an app like Root Checker.
WATCH THE NEW VIDEO OUT HERE FOR ROOTING METHOD

Mounting /system as Read/Write was possible in this one (Look at the screenshot below). Looking further to get it fixed on other versions too.

bluestacks v-(0.7.7.813)
how to root bluestacks version 0.7.7.813
Help!
I had 0.7.3.763 installed (and working). I wanted to try an app that needed a rooted version; so, I uninstalled 0.7.3.763 preserving user data and apps. I ran Eusing Free Registry Cleaner. I then installed 0.7.2.751 according to your instructions. When I came to the step of replacing root.fs, Windows (Vista w SP2) said the file was in use by another program -- even though the processes had been killed as instructed.
So, I rebooted in safe mode and still could not delete the original root.fs. So I rebooted into safe mode w command prompt and was finally able to replace the original root.fs.
One other thing to possibly be aware of... I have an older laptop; so, when I install BlueStacks, it tells me that it is installing a low res version.
The root.fs created by the install is 196083712 bytes. The replacement root.fs created by the above process is only 171966464 bytes.
After restarting windows into normal mode, BlueStacks just hangs on the Loading... screen. If I put back the original root.fs created by the Bluestacks installer, it runs fine, but is not -- of course -- rooted.
Thanks a lot root now works on my bluestacks running Win 64 bit
I'm a happy Droid now!!

Hello,
This is the question and the answer on the same post. (I hope I'm posting on the right place)
As you can read from this post and next three pages since, I have problems with persist partition after being formated by accident with CWM
The problem with formating PERSIST partition is that you will kill your wifi. And will not turn on anymore, buttons will look grayed out, etc. There are many threads about, here on XDA.
And of course, you will be unable to re-flash the partition with rsd or fastboot. (Flashing back your original and full stock will not help)
I was pointed to the fix for this accident which is on this post on Atrix HD section. (credit to the guys who helped me)
And thanks to post above I was able to fix my phone´s wifi and bring back to life.
But, after decompress the IMG file of persist partition I saw the WCNSS_qcom_wlan_nv from stock XT925 ROM has only 28 KB. So small compared with Atrix file. On the post fix above you will find the same file but with 1.7 MB
I tested the fix using both. And any file will work. The one from Atrix thread or the one from your own persist partition or the ones here.
Brief instructions:
You have to copy the file WCNSS_qcom_wlan_nv to the persist partition on home root, aka /persist
(Don't worry if you see an empty folder)

}
Then. Apply the permissions as follows
Then. Restart. your phone will create the rest of the files and links there.
That's it .
Below you will find four files extracted of several Roms. Rename it to delete the words up to W.
However, all files has the same size and same md5. So. Code is the same for each.
Anyway, is up to you.
One interesting thing I watch with this problem is: the MAC Address did not change at all.
You can change between the files and MAC will remain.

Hi.
What was you triyng for?
Did you lost the file?
Remember this file is for JB.
I got the direct link for the Nougat update now. I'm downloading. I need to find a place to upload it.
NOTE: at this point, the file is NOT flashable unlike the Verizon one. We need an experience expert to help us out. Don't waste your time downloading it.

Can you share the exact message?
Hopefully it's not a bad upload.

I left my computer, but it just said the zip isn't valid. Could they have encrypted the file so you can't share?
It's not a bad upload. I had to download it using internet download manager, for some reason when downloading it through the browser the download fails.
The original file is the BIN file. I just renamed it. Let me put the file in 7zip and upload it so it's unchanged.

In Total Commander, it shows the contents of the zip are fine... the .bin, the .mbn.. and metafiles....
Sent from my rooted Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge - SM-G935T
so now that i have the bin file. I think im supposed to put it in a specific directory but I cant remember where that would be. Any clues ?

I have a question how are you able to download that on a pc if Samsung
will only allow connections from a specific user agent header string.
I have a packet dump of the download and I have verification from the server and the correct file size in bytes and the MD5 Hash sum. They also match yours so I can verify you and I both have the full correct file from the OTA server
What you need to do is pause the download, start package capture, resume the download.
From the PCAP, merge the Host part with the GET part. My download link is still working after 3 hours. I use Chrome to download
My link looks like this:
Code:
http://fota-secure-dn.ospserver.net/firmware/TMB/SM-G935T/nspx/360ad212968a4bf88775210654d8be20.bin?px-time=XXXXXX&px-hash=XXXXXXXXX&px-wid=XXXXXX-XXXXXX&px-wctime=2016-1
is this the ota.zip file?

Thank you very much. I used packet capture on mine. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.greyshirts.sslcapture&hl=en
Is that the same one you used?
here is my idea on how to repair / correct the header of the zip so it may be flashable via recovery. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69874795&postcount=1002
If not then I think it can only be flashed with the fota.apk I think it does something to the zip before it flashes it.
I also did some poking around in the zip file and notice the update script is checking for the exact 6.0.1 build and flashing everything as a DIF, not as a regular update would.
I've downloaded the BIN file provided in the forum, now what should I do to install the update?!
if it helps any ive downloaded this zip file and when trying to copy it to SD Card i get a unexpected error that device may have been uplugged but any other file i try to copy works without issue, theres definetly some sort of security, ive also redownloaded file 3 times to see if it was a download issue which i now know its not
Edit: downloaded straight to sd card into FOTA folder for the hell of it tried to flash it and get 2 errors, 1. footer is wrong and 2. signature verification failed
