THERE MIGHT BE INSTANCES WHEN YOUR FRIEND MIGHT HAVE LOGGED IN THROUGH HIS ID ON YOUR PHONE AND YOU WANNA FIND HIS PASSWORD.
THIS GUIDE WILL TELL YOU HOW:
WORKS WITH ALL BROWSERS AND APPS WHICH SAVE PASSWORD'S
WORKS ONLY IF SAVED PASSWORDS ARE NOT CLEARED!!
1.OPEN ROOT EXPLORER
2.GO TO DATA
3.AGAIN OPEN DATA IN DATA FOLDER
4.Eg IF USING STOCK BROWSER, SEARCH FOR A FOLDER "COM.ANDROID.BROWSER"
5.IN THE FOLDER NAVIGATE TO ANOTHER FOLDER CALLED "DATABASES"
6.IN THE DATABASE FOLDER THERE WILL BE A FILE CALLED "WEBVIEW.DB"
7.THAT'S IT! OPEN IT AND HIT ON PASSWORD! AND SCROLL THE SCREEN TO THE LEFT!!

webview.db doesn't show my passwords
I want to view all my saved passwords in Opera Mini for Andorid.
I got the webview.db file in /data/data/com.opera.mini.android/databases/ .
However, after viewing it in SQLite database, it shows no passwords saved (see screenshot). But the username and passwords are there typed on every login pages when I use the browser.

Maybe view passwords bookmarklet can help you out.
Code:
javascript:(function(){var s,F,j,f,i; s = ""; F = document.forms; for(j=0; j<F.length; ++j) { f = F[j]; for (i=0; i<f.length; ++i) { if (f[i].type.toLowerCase() == "password") s += f[i].value + "\n"; } } if (s) alert("Passwords in forms on this page:\n\n" + s); else alert("There are no passwords in forms on this page.");})();
Source from: squarefree.com/bookmarklets/forms.html (I can't insert links)
Just figured out the password isn't stored in the webview.db file for Opera Mini for Android app. I deleted the webview.db file and still the email address and password were already filled on websites.
Searched the internet for a while.. Whoaa.. There's NO place which tells how to retrieve passwords from this simple small Opera Mini browser....!

I had to use a sqlite editor in order to view the passwords. Additionally, this only works for the primary profile (no secondary tablet user passwords are stored here).

Whatsapp Viewer
V1.3
WhatsApp Viewer
Original Thread : http://andreas-mausch.github.io/whatsapp-viewer/
Small tool to display chats from the Android msgstore.db.crypt5 database.
How to use:
1. Download msgstore.db.crypt5 from your Android phone (located at /sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases)
2. Open WhatsApp Viewer
3. File -> Open -> Select file
4. Enter account name. This must be the same Google account name used on your phone. If you have more than one account, try the first one. Make sure you enter the whole email address as account name. If you have trouble, sometimes leaving the account name empty is known to work.
5. Click on a chat to show the messages.
Currently only text and image messages are supported (no audio, gps). You cannot see bigger images because only thumbnails are stored in the database. You see cryptic phone numbers because account names or details are not stored in the database (no support for wa.db yet).
This release is not stable and known to crash sometimes. Sorry.
Changelog :
v1.3
BUGFIX: App doesn't crash anymore if column order differs
BUGFIX: Exceptions are now displayed correctly to the user
BUGFIX: Smilies caused messages to be displayed incorrectly
Smoother scrolling: Improved rendering speed of very long chat messages (clipping)
Show chats ordered by last message timestamp
Chat list can be sorted now by clicking the column header
v1.2
Improved SQLite error handling
Bugfix: Memory Leak (68b8421)

question
Hi,
I decrypted msgstore.db.crypt5 with "WhatsApp Viewer" and now I have a decrypted file: msgstore.decrypted.db So I would like to know how could I encrypt to crypt5 file again.
Sorry for my english.

Could not load
Hi, I tried with an android database and returns me the next error: "could not load chat list sqlite error 11 database disk image is malformed"
¿Is there any solution to this problem? Thanks!
First, decrypt your database file to plain msgstore.db.
Then, you could try to "repair" your database file:
Code:
echo .dump | sqlite3 msgstore.db > temp.sql
echo .quit | sqlite3 -init temp.sql repaired.db
You need SQLite installed on your computer.
Try to open repaired.db in WhatsApp Viewer.
Hope this works for you.

WhatsApp Viewer enhancements planned?
Hi all,
I downloaded the latest 1.5 version of WhatApp viewer and it worked straight away. Very useful tool. Thank you very much!
Are some enhancements planned like
- html style for chats?
- export of chats as html?
- display of user names instead of phone numbers?
- support for crypt7 chats?
- search function inside chats?
I am not sure, but is the WhatsApp db storing deleted chats as well? And I think there is a bug in the Viewer. Try looking at characters that have a & in front of them...
Cheers!

Hi Jibreil,
yes in order to decrypt crypt7 you need the key file.
You can access it on your phone if you have root access: http://andreas-mausch.github.io/whatsapp-viewer/
Or you can use developer mode: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2770982
The interface is not very clear, I will try to rework it in future versions.

Hi, this tool worked fine decrypting and showing my .crypt7 backup.
Do you know if it would be possible to read deleted chat messages from the main sqlite database? Maybe the sqlite lib does not physically delete the chat message records, they are only marked as available record space inside the db file until it is shrunk and unused space is recovered. Just thinking outloud here.
It would be interesting to try to scan available flash space for old sqlite db pages and try to recover deleted messages.

Hi, I don't know how SQLite works internally, but you might give a general restore tool a try, like this one: http://pldaniels.com/undark/

[Page migrated from the previous thread for this APP at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=8239139#post8239139 ]
Access the external storage card in your Android device over wifi / network as a SMB / Windows shared folder.
This app requires your device to already have:
* root access.
* Superuser 2.3.6.2 or later, from Android Market (may work with other Android 'su' implementations but I havent tested with many others).
Installation
* Install the current Google Play version
* A Development version is also available (see below).
On the first run, make sure you catch the SuperUser Auth request to allow the Samba Filesharing app root access.
Also, the first run will be a bit slow, the app has to unpack some additional binaries into its private data space.
GPL: Based on the awesome UNIX http://www.samba.org/ project - Samba GPL licensing information including source code modification details are included in the app. Once installed go to Menu -> Settings -> About.

Larest Dev build attached below, and includes some additional customisable options for new features in development, and manual edits to the smb.conf (use at your own peril, but please report successes etc back here)
- To install: unzip, and either:
- ADB: adb install SambaFilesharing<version>.apk
- FileManager: Copy the APK to /sdcard on your device, then launch with a filemanager program (like Astro).
(The below SambaFilesharing-dev-130413.zip is the the Google Play 140525 version with extra dev options turned on )
Good idea JC, allows you to control the FAQ info in the first post directly. Welcome back again too.

Neither the Play Store nor the dev build are working for me. When I try to input a password I get "Error changing password There was an error updating the password file - please check logcat" Also, when I try to do the "Uninstall Samba Filesharing" from the setting menu, it crashes (popup "Unfortunately Samba Filesharing has stopped.") I am using Moto X, Android 4.4.3. I"ve been using this SAMBA for years, not having it working now is very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
What version superuser do you use?
Can you generate & send me a support log right after the problem occurs (PM me, pls dont post it here) and i'll take a look.
- jc
Hi jimmy, thanx for new version, but there are two problems at least:
1.) I can not enable second shared folder
2.) Failed to create support log
Device: i9300
Rom: cm11 latest nightly
My guess for logfile would be that you have to create it in sdcard/android/data/com.funkyfresh.samba/ as kitkat restricts access to sdcard for apps.
Second shared folder is detected to be in mnt/media_rw/sdcard1 but this locarion is not present. It is located in mnt/ExtSdCard
Can I check, I'm already running 130413 (dev) - is it really exactly the same as the newer 140525, apart from the Don't Save Config feature? Just seems a long gap, I assumed 140525 had some other changes?

Same problem here
I use cyanogenmod 11 M7 (Android 4.4.3) and I can't get it working. I have the same problems as FadeFx and MyronAz. I enabled ART instead of Dalvik. Can it be related?
My device is unlocked and rooted.
The SU app is the one included in CyanogenMod. Do I need to install SuperSU?
Does anyone has a fix for this?
Thank you
I am also using ART.
I was originally using SuperSU. I tried switching to CM Superuser, didn't make any difference. Stock ROM (4.4.3, Moto X), rooted of course.
Seems not related, as i use dalvik

Did it work before?
The solution
I found a solution!
The problem is related to the shared folder "/storage/emulated/0" which doesn't exists through samba (don't ask me why! ).
Unfortunately, we cannot change this shared folder path in "Samba FileSharing" but if you download the application "Sambadroid" you will be able to change it to "/storage/sdcard0" and it will work!
I hope this will help you guys!

When you say "it will work", you mean Sambadroid will work, not SAMBA, correct?
For me, Sambadroid worked even without changing the share. I was not able to access the share by it's name, but was able to using the IP address.

I meant SambaDroid will allow you to access your data thru Samba protocol.
If you can't access the share by the name, check if your computer is configured with the same workgroup as in SambaDroid's settings. If not, change it in SambaDroid's options.

The workgroup is the same in both devices. The Sambadroid device does show up in the network list on the pc but when I try to access it I get an error. It's not that big a deal, I can just use the quad.
I recall reading somewhere that Windows 7 doesn't like non-password guest accounts for SMB. I thought maybe changing the user account in Sambadroid to one requiring a password might help. It didn't make any difference. Interestingly I still had access using the quad, without a password!
What OpSys are you using untroll?

I'm very sorry. I just saw your message now, months later... Do you need the password yet? I guess nope, but internet is atemporal. I saw your message while googling for the .eslock
Google eslock you will find the information now even though it's a bit late. You have to reverse the hidden md5 hash within the eslock file to recover your password but you have to locate it. Best to encrypt a random file with a known password as a start to find the position.
Eslock file decryption without password
I successfully decoded the eslock file algorithm to decrypt the file and found some major problems in it. This is very first post all over the world about that Es File Lock can be decoded with any password. This is the major foul ES Global have done.
All you have to do is go to the app which is available on play store

ESLock File Recovery is a very strong tool that enables decryption of all your ES Explorer locked files, without using password. So if in case you have forgot your password and left a file locked out by the ES file browser, here is a absolute remedy for you. It assures you a 100% success of decryption.Tools helps you decrypt multiple files also. For more information or queries on this please visit ...
Alternatively ,
It took me about 48 hours to get what exactly the structure of ES File Explorer Encrypted File (.es lock). ES File Explorer uses AES 256bit to encrypt your data but to increase efficiency of their algorithm in case when user enter wrong password while decryption they used to store a MD5 check sum of password which actually is a foul.
So what i concluded out of that you can do a hack to gain password of any .eslock file which certainly works for every password of shorter length.
Step 1: EXTRACT THE MD5 CHECKSUM OF PASSWORD
To do this you just download this small utility EsLockMD5Extractor .Download it from techackit.blogspot.in
Step 2: REVERSE MD5 HASHING
You can use any website like d5.gromweb.com to get back data from the hash. If your password is short your website will show your password
Don't miss out on any of your important document, video, picture or any file, just because you have forgot password that locks it down. Recover/ unlock it using.

I successfully decoded the eslock file algorithm to decrypt the file and found some major problems in it. This is very first post all over the world about that Es File Lock can be decoded with any password. This is the major foul ES Global have done.
All you have to do is go to the app which is available on play store
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eslock.vinit.com.eslockdecryptor

It backups the APK
Android/Data/YOUR_APP_FOLDER (If it has something to backup in there)
Android/Obb/YOUR_APP_FOLDER( if it has something to backup in there)
If you are looking for the data/data backup. I'm sorry this app is a NON ROOT app and it can't backup that.

New Update. Version 0.3
Now Supports Splits Apks.
Install, Backup, Restore,Share Split Apps Easily.
Also Supports Batch Uninstalling Now.
Damn, the missing backup application <3 It would be amazing if you could generate an xapk file Also, can you consider to add an option to backup private app data via ADB (a bit like Helium would do?)
I'll work on a little script to transform zip files to xapk on my side

> Better Installing Feedback.
> Fixed Multiple Share Dialogs Error.
> Fixed Number related bugs.
> Fixed File size being reported wrong.
> Added experimental support for XAPK files from Apkpure.com (Needs more work.)
@Zejsters
Hey good job on the app there.
So since swift backup desperately needs split apk support, and since your zbackup supports it, why don't you and him team up? Make a powerful one-stop-shop backup app. People would probably pay good money for a modern app that can do it all. (I wouldn't buy it, but others might)
Yeah you should team up with him. What's his name... Chris, or something.
I'll let him know you want to join forces. I think I speak for all of us when I say that your partnership is essential to the future of rooted android backup solutions. Godspeed.
How on earth do I set the path of the backups to my external storage??? I see no option to do so when I use this app to backup my games (data + obb) into a zBackup zip file; it just automatically creates the backup onto my internal storage which means it's pretty useless if I need to restore after doing a full factory reset or installing a new rom or something that wipes my internal storage along with all the zBackups. I'm using a rooted Redmi Note 5 (whyred).
Edited: nevermind, I found how to set path to my external card but when I tested it by backing up a game then uninstalling the game through Settings app menu then using zBack zips to restore/reinstall the game from the zip backup I got an error so it's still usless to me unless someone can tell me if I'm doing something wrong. It's a shame because I really wanted something that does full backups of apps/games to external storage and then lets me reinstall them so I hoped that this was it.

Hey everyone,
Is there someone with a recent WebOS TV who would like to download the IPK file of Disney + ? (Maybe using this method : https://forums.webosnation.com/webos-tips-info-resources/322549-how-retain-app-ipks-app-catalog.html).
I'm on WebOS 3.15, and according to LG, Disney+ is compatible with WebOS 3.0+. But my TV is not on the official list, so I can't find the app on the content store. I'm pretty sure it would work correctly if I install it from an IPK file, but I can't find it anywhere on the internet
Thank you !
@theorime2 , did you by any chance find this IPK? I'm looking for one also.
with regards

netflix ipk?
There is a way to download any ipk form LG Content Store (but the app must be available in your country)
This was tested on on WebOS TV v05.40.26
Requirements for PC:
WinSCP
DB Browser for SQLite
1. Go to https://github.com/RootMyTV/RootMyTV.github.io and root your LG TV.
2. After successful root, enable SSH in Homebrew Channel App on TV. Then restart TV.
3. Find your TV ip address (I have scanned LAN for devices).
4. Run WinSCP and connect to your TV: ip address, port 22, user: root, password: alpine
5. Uninstall the app that you want to export IPK.
6. Install it again from LG Content Store.
7. Browse to /var/luna/data and copy "downloadhistory.db" file to your computer.
8. Run DB Browser for SQLite, open "downloadhistory.db" file, select "Browse Data" tab. Scroll to last row and copy "history" column value. It should look like this:
{
"destFile": "com.accedo.videa.tvn.ipk",
"sourceUrl": "http://gfts.lge.com/fts/gftsFilePat...110&hash=N5J5CgE0aCro8dCC&mtime=1603724895000"
...
...
}
9. Now just copy the "sourceUrl" value and paste in your internet browser.
jtrz: Thanks for the info!
I used your method to find the names and URLs of apps, but when I try a sourceUrl on my PC browser I get a 403: Access Denied. I also tried using wget on the TV itself, but that didn't work any better. Are you still able to access the sourceURLs? (This would imply that the problem is on my end.)
It doesn't seem to work anymore. I had the same problems when trying.
curl and wget on TV both error out with something like "server returned error: HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden'" or "403 Access Denied... You are not authorized to view this page."

I did get it working eventually. I believe you can only access the link for a few minutes after it is generated. Thus, you have to do steps 5 through 9 as quickly as possible. It doesn't take a bot or anything like that, but you can't use an old link. When I did get it working, a normal PC web browser worked fine.
Ah, I get it. So, did you successfully download the disney+.ipk?
I'm on WebOS 3.40 similar to the OP, so there is no Disney+ App in the LG Content Store for me, but I would love to try the IPK by installing it manually and see if it works or not.
No, sorry, I wasn't trying to get that IPK in particular.

thanks for the info, i tried it but this way by downloading the ipk file in browser i haven't succeed to install any aplication because it downloads just a small portion of the ipk file...
by using this other command you can install directly from the LG web adress that is discovarable from that history database
# Install app from remote HTTP url (requires Homebrew Channel)
luna-send -i -f luna://org.webosbrew.hbchannel.service/install '{"ipkUrl":"https://.../app.ipk","ipkHash":"package-sha256sum"}'
you just have to replace with your adress after ipkUrl and if you look at the putty's console you'll notice that this way it is downloading several small portions of the ipk file during the download process, unlike when downloaded from the browser where just the first portion of the ipk file is saved, so that's why the manual file installation process never succeeds
Hi,
I tried your solution, and I can say taht the ipk is correctly downloaded but at the end I got an error.
{

just delete the checksum part at the end of the command line "package-sha256sum" so that it will ignore checksum and will not receive that error and try again to see results
