Hi,
I'm currently on DH GPE rom and I want to go back to Sense rom.
I have a Verizon device but I'm on non-US GSM network.
I know that there are several Roms like ARHD, SD or Maximus. but it seems that I have to flush custom kernel in order to run them on my device.
Can you please help me and tell how to get any of these roms to work with my device?

Thanks but i heard that there is a big in SD kernel that you can't watch videos.
Maybe there is another kernel that is suitable for us?

I looked through the thread but didn't see the SD kernel, did you pull it & zip it yourself to flash?

That's the point.
I don't want to use this kernel if video are not working.
That's why I'm looking for an alternative kernel until they fix the problem..

I haven`t tried but really don`t care, as I use MX Player(far better than stock).

I was PMed and told that data works for a GSM user - non Sprint though as that doesn't seem to want to work, but I bet you may be ok.
some edits may need to be done for your network but other than that it's worth the try.

Did it! The Titel line is to short to add the full ROM Name.
Come on people,
is best for the moment what you can get, and still someone complain, is not fair, I am very happy and glad for sharing this link, I am sure will still better as 2.50 one, and if tomorrow will come official release one, and I will download release and thats it, when I was on win 6.1 on my old htc touch hd, I was flashing roms nearly every day... , not too busy, happy with stock and go launcher, just want latest stock if is there one..

Should be possible BUT I wouldnt recommend it. The rom isnt perfect and that's probably also the reason why HTC didnt release it yet. Wait for official OTA release or flash any rooted version of the RUU so you'll be on the safe side.

It seems that with the ENG HBOOT the rom can't boot (just tested it)
Maybe they did change something (the HBOOT included in the rom is version 2.0 so maybe there's something different in the boot process)
I have to investigate further.

I still don't get why this is happening. Did HTC send a letter to all the devs saying: "Hey guys so yeah it's cool if you make roms based on this but DON'T DISTRIBUTE THE BASE"?

The downgrade method works with it too ? Because if an official ROM flashed the S-OFF state going to be S-ON. I'm thinking to try this ROM, but I don't want to stuck with it.

I used the trick of clearing Google Application Framework. Worked like a charm! I'm pulling the OTA file now before I update.
Try to pull the zip file if you can. I think you can flash it with the stock recovery.
So I got the update OTA on my T-Mobile GS4 running the rom from this thread.
Anyone know what will happen if I update? I don't know if I'll lose root, recovery, etc.

I'm a noob when it comes to using command line. I checked the /cache folder after logging into to SU. But not sure where to go from there.
list shows:
lost+found
recovery
and there doesn't appear to be anything in the recovery folder, and not this is in lost+found:

I am on a Google Edition I9505G, I reverted back to stock recovery and was able to flash this just fine. Your mileage may vary if you do not have a GT-I9505G. It may turn your device into a lawnmower...I just dunno.
I'll inspect when I get home. The ATT and I9505 are pretty much the same. I've been running I9505 GE ROM without issue for a bit while. If its just a kernel and system update then it should be fine. We will see shortly.
Can you still get the OTA if you are rooted? I've cleared Google Service Framework but I'm still not getting it.
Haven't noticed it mentioned on any websites yet, but a notable change is with cover view, we reverted from thin font time to Google favored fat hours & skinny minutes. Yuck.

I have ported roms in the past to Kindle Fire HD from the Nexus tabs. It's way easier to port than to build a rom from scratch. The tricky part is finding the easiest roms to work with.
Well I can't do either.
Wouldn't we want to get something on here other than stock?

Well I would think that you would need a working custom recovery with external SD card support first. Though the big feature I am looking forward to is a kernel that supports Roehsoft Ram Expander (swap) which while it works fine on my S3 does not work at all on the Tab 4 7.0.

There is a fully working recovery with SDcard read/write support as mentioned in THIS post.
What I did was downloaded the TWRP 2.8.0.1 .img for t230 then flashed it over the older non-working TWRP using #Rashr. It works for me on SM-T230NU and wipe works. Dalvik/Cache, everything.

Yep I know nothing happens. But just open it in internet explorer (assuming you used chrome, just like I did).

I already have root (by using vroot and then replacing the chinese app with supersu). Can I just flash TWRP with Rashr or do I need to redo the whole thing from scratch?

I resstored the device in odin to the latest factory firmware then flashed the twrp in odin, rebooted directly to recovery and flashed supersu. Rebooted to system, set up all my stuff and flashed the new twrp over the old twrp using rashr. I had to reboot once to set up rashr before i could flash but, it all worked perfectly for me

cant start over if it wont turn on at all and i believe the battery is dead and it wont charge.
ive read about this issue with other galaxy tabs (2,3) and i need to open up and disconnect battery, i will try this when i get home. i hope it does something after. i just got this thing.
i cant just flash the good twrp instead of one over the other?

Twrp is the only recovery we have .... How would it be flashed any other way besides flashtool....You must be doing sowmthign a little off. Check your md5.... Full wipes....good luck

Ive been flashing for years, I dont know what im doing wrong, should i full wipe, (System, Dalvik, Cache, and Factory ) then flash the ROM, or is there something im missing.
Like Step By Step what should I do because none of the roms i flashed lollipop wise work.

Go to advanced wipe and wipe it all but not external SD. Keep your ROM on it and flash from there with your gapps. Update to latest twrp... Doesn't make sense that everyone else is booting up an running fine ...

You need to look at return to stock thread. Sometimes you need to go all the way back to the beginning. **** gets mixed up and then its never the same after.

Does qremote work with this ROM? That's probably the only thing keeping me on kitkat right now. I've tried ported apks for cm12 but the manufacturer list is always blank.

is there a way to get my moto 360 running on this ROM?
I have a lg g3 running v5.31 and my moto 360 keeps flashing connected disconnected getting absolutely no notifications.
I reset the moto 360 all good for now

Thank you this is great news. I wonder though if this is going to work with the international patch in some way? That is all that has stopped me from figuring it out is the flashfire aroma issue.

I have flashed Tmo roms and they were fine with the international patch. Of course these were ones without aroma at the time.

I downloaded one from T-mobile with carrier unlock the rom maker said it would work on VZW too. so I am going to install FF v.19 and give it a try.

Edit 1: installing now time: 13:54 est time 13:58 est ff loaded all the white linex then went to a black screen so restarting the phone from pulling battery and restarting the phone now.
Edit 2: reloaded phone normally just fine. No new rom no restore ether. it just loaded with what ever my wife already had on the phone
What?!?!? No way. I thought that it couldn't work because the rom didnt let it access the framebuffer. I'm stoked.

according to the flashfire fourm thread, yes it should work
That just made me wonder what else you could do with this beast. Could you have it load an X server? Lol.

Aww man. I saw on the official ff fourm it said it worked
Gonna remove this thread now.
It works on some devices just not ours. I even triedthe latest aroma installer test zip and it just froze up on both flashfire and safestrap

The closest we come is having a barebones rom with flashable zips for options.

Despite all the macabre artwork, after you get past the boot animation what is impressive is how well it's put together. Seriously. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think so.

Its a nice rom. I tried to do a port to Verizon but the OP would never give me permission
